  • Who should you be remembering today?

Usually, the thre of us remember our dead relatives and that’s what we did today – by visiting their graves, placing flowers, and offering prayers.

After attending morning mass with the hopelessly insane but faithful worshipers, we went to Safeway to buy flowers. But the red dozen roses for $9.99 were sold out. We bought 20-$2/10 corns and 2 bunches of flowers of yellow daisies and roses for $9.99. Then we ate breakfast at McDs and headed off to the graves: Uncle Florene and Auntie Hely; Lolo and Lola; Alberto and Kevin Jay. I took pictures as proof. We learned from two old Filipino ladies that Nalen came with her gray/white toy dog to the gravesite, finally. (It must have been an old photo showing Paw in his military cap via my Facebook.)

As for the three-day holiday and Memorial Day being on Monday, today, it is appropriate to make this time of the year to remember the dead, especially when there are so many to remember. However, people take advantage of this holiday to celebrate life and go on vacations, to move on and to leave the past behinds; deny that death is not going to happen to them until later on in life; and forget where they came from – dirt. So the meaning of the holiday is somewhat diluted because some people don’t care about respect and fail to connect with their late beloved.

  • How do you decide what risks to take?

I use my gut feelings, my intuitive sense, my heart and soul to decide what risks to take. For examples, some people used the Yahoo! Messenger system to meet people and “recruit” them for investment purposes.

At that time, I didn’t know they we’re “fellow brothers” raising money and testing potential “Initiates”. It’s far from scams, mind you. They didn’t know my purpose then and used their “special gifts” to take advantage of the situation as if their activities are following the “True” path.

Nay, fast forward beyond seven years to the current eleven years and they are still processing my requests. The “investment(s)” was worth the knowledgr even though I didn’t gain a single penny from my hard-work, which really is due to two elderly couple.

However, I learned my job is not entirely complete. And their projects are ongoing, by the way. It’s paying off, mysteriously enough several folds, not for our personal use, but for others’ benefit.

  • Would you ever consider running for president?

I would not even consider running for president (or a top government office if there was no president) because I am NOT qualified professionally but esoterically speaking, even though I am a natural born citizen of this great nation and a good taxpayer to boot. But that’s the mystery why Hillary Rodham-Clinton once said along the line: “Anyone can be president.”

As for being a participant AND spectator to the political arena behind the scene, I already have cast my vote twice in the past and the third time non-verbally. So yeah, there is no such thing as a “president” or leader to the one-eyed, pyramid hierarchy of the U.S. Constitution. There is only “unity” among fellow brothers and sisters who try to leave only 5% in the know while entertaining 95% with speculation at best via the “mainstream media”.

  • Do you think global warming is real? Why or why not?

I do NOT believe global warming is real because from the weird weather patterns recently, it has been mostly cool. I’ve learned from my brother that an expert in meteorology said that the climate has been VERY consistent for decades. From then on, I would rather believe in facts that hopefully have not been modified to suit peer pressures in the scientific community. Therefore, I believe that it is more like a “global cooing” than what the “main stream media” keeps reporting.

  • What makes you feel like you’re still a kid?

Birthday parties make me feel like I’m still a kid. There are noisy people trying to have fun, food for filling tummies with delights, cake decorated with colorful sprinkles, balloons with well wishes of all shapes and sizes, favors and other goodies. There would singing, dancing and more play, too.

Going to work make me feel like an adult. There can be fun with overworked people during happy hours, discussions of matters to improve the slow, outmoded process and any environmental “pollutions” and basically messing up the status quo enough for the employer to make the auditors scream for mercy.

  • What invention do you need the most right now?

I need new body parts that won’t be rejected by me. Instead of wearing contact lenses, I want two new pairs of eyeballs. Instead of wearing hearing aides, I want two new pairs of inner ears. Instead of getting a size “C” boob job, I want two good pairs that hold up well without wearing a bra! Instead of waxing my body hair, I want to be hairless for once, maybe go bald and bold!

Or realistically, a nano-bot that could clean out clogged arteries in the body AND brain. And cartilages to replace worn out joints, especially the knee for those hard-workers who have to stand and walk the whole day.

  • How do you decide who to be friends with?

This may sound shallow but I canot be friends with fugly people! That’s right! If friends are at least average, but have a great, even “street smart” personality, they could be my friends. However, if friends are merely narcisstic but beautiful, forget it. Those sort of people cannot be my friends. But if they are sincerely happy to be overbearing but still CAN laugh about many things in life, meaning having a light-hearted outlook in life, then they could be my friends.

So you see folks, it’s narrow-minded to try and explain how I decide who to be friends with if the person I happenstance to meet fear me at first glance. Perhaps, one could go further and define “friends” as either being just a good one for various activities versus a close one, which lasts a life-time, no matter how far the distance. Take for example, “my family”. I loosely label them as “my family” not to be weird since I’m not “married” into that family or related by bloodline but as a closer connection beyond friendship, say spiritually, somewhat like a platonic relationship. Get it? If not, too bad!

  • If you started a music band, what would it be?

If I started a music band, it would be a rock group with the usual drummer, guitarists, vocals and backup singers.

  • Describe the unhealthiest meal you’ve ever eaten

I don’t think I’ve ever eaten unhealthy meal by choice simply because most of my food is home cooked and lovingly prepared by Maw. Alot of the food may be greasy and meat in contents but for the most part, I’ve not gotten ill for feel sick afterwards.

The only time I got sick was when I ate food at an outdoor wedding. It was the wedding of Joe and Rose. Joe used to live across from us. Both of them held their reception in the backyard of Terry, whose house is across MY long stretch of road. Their backyard is HUGE and I would have loved to have bought the house from Terry, who regretted to have sold the house. But you see, I was not working at that time.

Anyway, I drank too much champaigne and stuffed myself full with the food they offered. I skipped quickly back home, singing loudly in the night through the street, went upstairs and spewed out chunks that FILLED one sink almost to the top! That’s how much my guts can hold before nature said that I’ve sinned against my own body.

  • Should schools control what kids eat for lunch?

Schools should control what kids eat for lunch. During the old days and especially during famine, people are known to eat everything that was served and nothing was put to waste. In today’s modern society, the abundance of food gives way to wastefulness. And since “some” parents are out working all day and are not available to oversee the eating habits of their own children, schools should enforce what the kids eat for lunch. Consider all the food that go to waste that could have went to feed those who are REALLY starving. And children in America are truly obese, thanks in part to the grossly obese parents or guardians of the children. What goes around comes around.
