  • Multiple blogs…

It’s late and it’s boring again. There’s nothing to blog. I guess my blogging days are almost over. Perhaps I should register more blogs here at WordPress.com and split off the more popular categories on their own.

I could have one blog for dream and another for poetry and then another one for daily posts or even for photographs of EVERYTHING.

The rest are a mixture of rants and raves. I’ll have to do something about the content of my blogs and keep on topic for the most part.

Can I just delete everything? Maybe I’ll keep my blogs private. Again, it’s like I’m talking to myself and “human” trolls are actually reading my “thoughts”, which are mostly written if not said out loud.

  • 20110722-Trying Theme

For the second time, I’m trying the new WordPress theme Manifest by Jim Barraud. I didn’t realize it until now but the templates for “Archives” and “Links” are much better than the rest!  Again, it has a one-column, full-width/no-side bar look with the header and menu on the top; the contents in the middle and the sidebars on the bottom! It can’t get that much cleaner than that!

  • A better way to blog…

Here I am again and ready to blog. And a new message appeared prior to signing into my WordPress.com account, my favorite weblog site!

  • 20110721-Trying Theme

Here I go again: I’m trying yet another but old WordPress.com Theme: Andreas09 by Andreas Viklund. I tried the Steira theme but it didn’t have my favorite elements. For my sidebar widgets, I’ve placed widgets which are updated “automatically” on the left sidebar; while the ones that do not require much tinkering are placed on the right. The color is gray, a neutral shade.

Will I keep this theme? Nope. Maybe.

  • 20110720-Trying Themes

Well, here I go again: trying yet another WordPress.com theme. I know Madame Mews does NOT like light fonts against dark background: I’m sorry. But I’ll never be satisfied with one weblog theme. For the meantime, I’ll try the “thuggish” color scheme of gray, white and black.

    Piano Black by mono-lab

This dark and elegant theme showcases your content with a techny, sophisticated design. Make it yours with a header image, background, and custom menu, and optional RSS and Search areas in the header. Includes a full-width-template for dropping the sidebar on pages. • Liking thumb-log…

I like my new WordPress.com theme “Manifest” because of the single column, no-side bar template. It’s good to view this “full site” via cellphone vertically, instead of horizontally. The header, menu bar, content and side bar all line up in descending order and the readers don’t have to use a scrollbar at the bottom! I think the word I’m looking for to describe my preferred theme is a “thumble-log” feature. I want more themes with “Theme Options” for tumble-log viewablility.

  • Post published messages…

Neat! I received my first message about my most previous post entry from the weekly photo challenge on hot. I like “hunky-dory”: it’s so Americana! Here is the message about my post published:

  • New readers…

Well, it’s nice to receive “Comments” and “Likes” on this weblog site. In return, TPTB and pals can “troll” their sites and find out tons of insightful information. So far I have little to no idea (or concern) “who” is reading. But I’ve subscribed to their feed by adding their site to my reader.

  • 20110714-Trying Themes

Well, I’m trying yet another WordPress.com theme:

    Manifest by Jim Barraud

Manifest is a clean and streamlined theme, with great care for typography, that focuses on the content and not the distractions. It comes with support for several post formats, including image, link, and aside, with the option of adding a subtle header image to bring a personal touch to the design. Read more about Manifest →

It’s clean and white. I like the single column, no sidebar template. However, I prefer time/date stamps on each blog entry to show my readers when I “published” my thoughts. Then again, what is time — Pacific? Univeral? Eternal? I guess it doesn’t matter when there is TOO much time on my hands, which end up blogging the whole day. I need, not just the ideal weblog template, but a purpose in life.

    I’m trying a new WordPress.com theme:

    Matala by Nicolo Volpato

Matala is a colorful, textured theme that supports two widget areas, six post formats, and several customization options, including custom background, custom header and an optional random image gallery on single image pages. Read more about Matala →

The theme name looks eerily similar to the fat bastard’s first name.

Addendum:Last edited by FLYNN on 20110713 at 03:54:41 AM UTC – Forget it! I changed my mind again. Ugh. Sorry. I’ll be switching themes, now.

  • Add a subscription…

Prior to eating late lunch at 14:00pm, I was adding subscriptions to my reader online. There’s lots to read but my brain has an attention span of a burp. So I just selected “Mark as read”. I was hoping for an easy-to-read app.
