`#24 The Gov’t Can Take Your House & Land, Then Sell Them to Corporations.`

~`100 Things You’re Not Supposed To Know.` by Russ Kick.

At 04:00am, Maw heard me use the toilet and get into bed. She told me that her blood sugar is low and needed orange juice. She took her blood sugar level and it was around 150 points. She told me about her nightmare. She dreamt that our house is being demolished. She saw two bull dozer trucks and two guys.

    Maw: This is our house!

    Guy 1: No it’s not!

Maw: We paid off our house. There are other houses that are not paid-off! Why are you demolishing our paid-off house?

Guy 2 – a more pitiful one coming out from one of the trucks: You have a nice corner house. In its place, a building for lawyers will stand.

Maw: You will be punished by God for what you did to us and our home!

As so it is the truth and a message for all of us. No one owns anything of this world: There is no such thing as private property. People still pay taxes, i.e. property taxes. Instead of thugs coming into the private property with their guns to kill or mutilate, whichever is convenient, the wealthy have men with pen and paper, which by law will haul dissidents off to jail for not paying up.

`#23 The Police Aren’t Legally Obligated to Protect You`

~`100 Things You’re Not Supposed To Know.` by Russ Kick.

And because law enforcement does NOT side the citizens, people should arm themselves not so much with guns and bullets but by hiring lawyers for themselves and their family. But only wealthy persons could afford to hire the more modern kind of well-paid thugs: attorneys, lawyers, barristers, etc.

    `You will hear from me.`

    ~Pete (10/25/2009)

That means he know the law and I should get a lawyer, right?

And later on, we watched a program titled `Boneyard` – Demolition (originally aired on 9/13/2007) on History Channel. Gator, Inc. Brandenburg and Murray Demolitions were a few of these business that does the job of destruction.

It so happens that demolitions would make way for new and profitable business ventures. This reminded me of 9/11 and the Twin Towers. The new real estate would bring in tourist.

No wonder private properties, like Hearst Castle, was handed over to the State of California. It just better business. And again, it looks more like the government owns everything and everyone.

  • 20100110-Not Free

Nursing homes are not free. This morning Maw talked of Virginia, an old lady who had already passed on. Virginia had a disabled son, named Junior. Everyday, Virginia would visit her son at Agnews Developmental Hospital.

But Virginia was fast getting on with age. She lived alone. But Mario, one of her sons would call every frequently to make sure his mother was okay. And one day, Mario, one of her sons, discovered his mother didn’t answer the phone. He knew right away something was wrong.

He immediately went to her paid-off house and found his mother sprawled on the floor in her urine and feces. She had apparently forgotten how to get up and probably kept falling on the slippery surface. He called his other siblings to discuss matters as to where their mother should live.

Mario had no choice but to put Virginia in the nursing home. But since the nursing home was not free, he had to sell his mother’s paid off home. Virginia had nowhere else to live.

In order to qualify, the patient was submitted as having dementia, looses control of her bodily fluids and that the family could not afford to take care of their loved ones.

Then I connected the dots as to why Maldeath, Malouse, Dead and probably Glorge had to be the four authorized signators on the paper works. Maldeath and Malouse claimed they are working part-time.

But in the Bay Area and in order to keep the house, a couple should be working full-time. Now I know why my relatives lied about old granny. What a sham! What a shame! But it happens all the time as with the case of Mario.

  • 20100109-Move Out

To Virgil (who visited our home around 10:30am):

Sorry about my Paw. He is an idiot. Maw wanted to talk to you. But Paw was protecting his wife from further stress and possible relapse of sickness, such as heart attack-like symptoms, including flu-like allergies.

Remember what Paw said to you? Stand like a man! You are already of legal age.

Remember what Maw said to you? Take care of your sister, Melinda. You are old enough.

Bottom-line: MOVE OUT OF YOUR MAW’S HOUSE, A.S.A.P.!

She is a divorced nutter. Her problems are not yours. You don’t need to inherit your mom’s problems in life. It’s not fair to you.

You have a life, a future and other things to worry about, like a job and your finances. Who will take care of you? Yourself and other supportive family units, sans relatives.

So any Filipino who knows this person, let him know. Paw didn’t mean to turn you away. But in all fairness, if God really wanted Maw to speak with you, there is still a chance before you decide to move to Philippines and start a new life there with a new wife, like Garrett.

  • 20100109-Taking Down

After a big breakfast and after another huge meal for lunch, we started to take down Christmas decorations, trees and ornaments

    • Miniature wooden structure of a Philippine `Bahai Cooboo`.
    • Colorful resin displays of Tom Turkey, cornucopia and wheat harvest.
    • Thanksgiving flower garlands of yellow, orange and green.
    • Two candle candy holding two unburned maroon-colored candles.
    • Christmas garlands of red, white and green.
    • Miniature and 4 1/2 feet tall Christmas trees.
    • Christmas decorations sorted into six leftover Chinese containers of moon cakes.
    • Electric lights from plastic tree and four hanging light from windows displaying angel, snowflake, reindeer and sleigh.
    • Door decorations of three rusty bells from the growing years and an aluminum wreath of green foils.

Each time I would either use the handy, dandy air compressor to blow off dust from the plastic trees and other garlands or wash with water via a sprayer. It was cold outdoors; so I wore my combo head scarf/hat to keep warm. The fleece coat Maw made is quite warm. I hope I don’t get a relapse of flu-like symptoms.

We’ve just finished ironing the washed table cloths and alter coverings of Christmas designs. Maw has been refueled throughout the six hour ordeal with pieces of macadamia nut cookies and two small bottles of apple juice. Her blood sugar level was 98 about an hour ago.

  • 20100109-Cloudy Day

Today is mostly cloud of gray-white colors, of course. The air is cold. The air indoors is stale and the windows have been open to let some radon energy out. We are still feeling run down from sickness that lasted since Christmas and probably two weeks past during old granny’s 92nd birthday party in the filthy nursing home, which is crawling with all sorts of sickness.

Breakfast was two products from Costco: Rosemary Potato Loaf and Spinach Dip. The girl bought those for us sick old timers; while the boy grabbed Paw’s jumper cables. Paw had his usual breakfast of sliced Gala apples and two wheat toast with butter and cheese.

I then folded and ironed the washed clothes, which was washed last night and accumulated for over a week! It helps to put the mind into mode: Just do it. By focusing on the chores, it goes faster and more enjoyable when Maw had played (on high volume) a cassette tape of Pelita Corrales, the singing Queen of Asia, now passed on.

  • 20100107-Earth Quakings

Last night the parakeets scrambled in their bird cage at around 23:00pm. There was a slight earthquake, a thump on the south-west direction of Maw’s bedroom upstairs.

Today at around 10:01am, an earthquake was felt by my bio-units at home here in San Jose, CA:

4 – 10.0 km (6.2 mi) ENE of Milpitas, CA

    Date: Thu, 07 Jan 2010 18:09:35 UTC
    Lat/Lon: 37.4812/-121.799
    Depth: 11.01

I was taking my break in the break room of my temp job up in Union City, CA. And Astuko came by, mentioning that she heard something and then motioned with her hand like waving back and forth. But I was severely congested that I couldn’t hear a damn thing she said.

  • 20100104-Christmas Card

Today, Maw received a Christmas Card (Association of the Miraculous Medal) from Jeane S. (in Capitola, CA). They worked together in a state developmental hospital. Most of that land is now owned by Cisco Systems, Inc. (my nemesis).

When the time had fully come, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman. ~Galatians 4:4
    "Keepsake" Christmas Card

    A Christmas Prayer for You

    During this holy season

may your heart be warmed with

    the golden memories of all

the happy days you have ever known.

May every gift of God has given you

fill the hearts of all who are dear to you.

    Amen.

  • 20100103-Healthy Eatings

This mid-morning, we three went to the DeCa Commissary Store in Moffett Field, CA for, what would be the first, healthy grocery shopping! I picked bags of spinach, spring vegetables, hearts of Romain lettuce, fresh-picked vine tomatoes, bean sprouts, brussel  sprouts, green beans, and artichoke hearts for our salad. I served those for lunch today and it was filling.

    Here is my simple recipe:

    • Romain lettuce
    • Spinach
    • Spring veggies
    • One cherry tomato
    • One green olive
    • One slice of red bell pepper
    • One slice of celery
    • One cucumber
    • One palm-sized (blue-colored) bowl, which is about one to two cups, just big enough for the size of my stretched out stomach inside.

And about one hour or so ago, the twosome dropped over unexpectedly and the girl brought over Maw’s request (via my cellphone call last night) for spinach dip from Costco, along with white bread with whole garlic cloves. I was embarrassed to be in my short-like underwear, similar to what her Paw used to wear back in Vietnam, when I answered the door.

Of course, the boy was in a hurry to re-charge the girl’s failed battery and we didn’t expect them to stay. That’s what family is all about: pop-overs. We won’t request grocery runs that frequently. I told them call the main number for rides in case of emergency.

  • 20100102-Healthy Eatings

Yesterday (Friday, 01/01/10), Edna fed us healthy snacks of carrot sticks, celery sticks and small red bell peppers, flavored with spinach dip each time. And Danillo helped refill our tea cups with water. I wanted to finish the dish because our fingers were already touching those but some were left.

Lately, we’ve felt full on Romaine lettuce, too. Toppings to our salad include cherry tomatoes and Spanish olive of green color. Porridge of sweet rice and the usual meat stuff of chicken hearts and gizzards and of beef tripe, which is bad for those with gout-filled uric acid, is finished.

We’re trying to vacuum up the remaining Costco bread filled with whole garlic, which made Paw’s breath severely annoying! Small doughs of puto (a Filipino snack of sticky dough, usually white and sometimes purple made with ube) is good as snack.

The staple of diet of most Asians is rice, which we are eating sparingly.

  • 20100102-Lost Weights

I weighed my bag of mostly water, that is my fleshy body. And the scale showed a number of three pounds less in about two weeks time. This is probably the result of eating less and healthy too in many years. We’ve been eating fresh salads, less dead meat and drastically cutting rice intake.

Since Maw’s recent hospitalization scare, she no longer cooks her usual food of mixed ingredients. She studied the portions of food given to her during her stay in the hospital. The attendants wore silky black vests. It made eating worthwhile. Plus the food served at the hospital was VERY good.

I don’t know what makes her think that her cooking is comparable to those in the restaurant. She has a tendency towards conceit, not so much pride, but too much insecurity, just like the boy who compares himself to engineers (sans education and a degree in anything) and sailors of the seas.

Loss of weight is great but makes feeling cold much colder. Dropping not just the inches from around the waist line and folds of flesh hanging from the belly, underarm, buttocks and thighs, but from one’s ego would make other’s feel free from the baggage of domination over expectations:-

Which is the preference of foodstuff. The appreciation for someone’s smothering love of lard, that when given over long periods of time, clogs the important veins, causing clots as apathy set in the form of an unhealthy relationship, along with metal particles scraped off the bottom of aluminum woks and Teflon pans.

`Get a new pan! It’s bending and the metal might go in the food!`

    ~Boy (12/24/2009)

Great idea! But I wonder why the boy didn’t buy his Maw a new pan for Christmas. She awaits the boy’s verbal frankness to manifest by lifting your paternally-inherited fingers of laziness and go shopping for that useful item, if he really meant what he said. His sister would have preferred a web-cam, even if it is to be thrown out by any workplace, too.

And a nice spinach dip from Costco is another test of re-payment after the sister-in-law leaft a brief  a voicemail message on the girl’s cellphone, describing the label of the container. Let’s see if she pulls through just this one time, since it was really the idea of her mother-in-laws.

Here @ Edna & Danillo’s clean home, cold air but not stuffy! After horror of past, couple stayed together, entertaining as if nothing happened, not divorced….

  • 20091230-New Balloon

Ben and “Minh” came over and conversed with Maw to find out how she was doing after 2.5 days in the hospital. They brought three balloons: one rainbow-colored, circular one and two star-shaped in colors of purple and green. Here is an image taken of our first New Year’s balloon EVER:
