If you are wondering why I’m not blogging here, it’s because I’ve been answering 48 prompts generated from Plinky.com

I’ve shared each topic via my other WordPress.com site at Flynn’s Paws – Plinky Prompts and Answers! Check it out now because I’ve changed the theme over there (again).

Plus, I’ve been `working` at a desk job, which is so friggin’ boring. I’d answer more prompts at work but the keyboard is too noisy and not the quiet type.

I’ve been answering in the order of the topics presented. Only topics number 23 and 25 are do not appear to exist. Only topics numbered 46 and 18 were out of sequence!

  • Wallet and stuff travel with me

Topic #40: List the contents of your pockets or purse. Share what you’re carrying around with you today.

    Wallet
I need two pieces of identification, cash on hand, credit card, health care and automobiles insurances.

    Beauty
I have perfume to spray down the bathroom after pooping, lipstick to make my lips look like a clown, lotion to moisturize my dry skin, lip balm to protect lips from sunburn, a toothbrush to clean my teeth, mouth, tongue and the back part of the throat and a brush to smooth down my unruly hair. If I remember, I’d like to include scissors for the hangnails, nails and cuticles, too.

    Communication
I have a cellphone to make outgoing call in case of emergency, to family, friends and business contacts and to receive incoming calls from the collection agencies. There is an AC charging unit for the cellphone. have a pen and some paper to write down the voicemail messages.

    Keys
I have keys for the house and car. There is also a garage door opener.

    Camera
I have a digital camera to take pictures of persons, places and things. This is to record phenoms of sylphs, chemtrails and any UFO, which I’ve yet to capture with this three dimensional device.

    Food
I have Peppermint Lifesavers to keep my breath minty fresh. If my bag were large enough, I’d include a sandwich and a bottled water, too.

  • Starbucks is great for drinks with an old friend

Topic #39: An old friend is coming into town – where do you meet up for a chat over a beverage? What's the place called? Where is it?

I don't go out much but Starbucks is the first thing that came to mind. One could order a nice venti, sit down on some cozy chairs and then find out what's up? Plus, there would be some nice jazzy music to relax. I believe there would be newspaper to read in case the conversation went dry.

  • Chocolate chips always soothes me when I’m stressed

Topic #37: What comfort food do you reach for when things get stressful? Nothing beats drowning your sorrows in a little pint-sized tub of Ben & Jerry’s. Except maybe a pint-sized glass of Bartles & Jaymes Melon Splash.

    (More) Chocolate Chip Cookies

I reach for whatever snacks is available at home and anything chocolate would make me feel better – chocolate chips cookie, chocolate chips ice cream, chocolate cakes, a box of chocolate, cereal, crackers, cold cuts, etc.

  • Reading ‘The Significance of the One’ opened my eyes

Topic #36: Name a book that changed your mind or opened your eyes. Why is it significant for you?

`The Significance of the One` by Don Bradley is significant for me. Somehow I believe that everyone is interconnected on some level, namely spiritual for lack of a better word. When you get to know yourself and your own strengths, you will realize that thoughts and intentions do affect all that is around everything that is seen and unseen. The forces are with us at all times. There is no turning back once the reader realizes that the potential for each and every person is within. Take the time to read this book and you too will see with not only opened eyes but new and wider eyes.

  • Brisk walking keeps me in shape

Topic #35: Share your preferred form of exercise. First, select your brand of fitness: running, competitive sports, weight lifting, Wii Fit, yoga, or other: brisk walking.

Ever since I started work two weeks ago and after eating lunch, I'd go out for a brisk thirty minutes walk. Depending on how achy my feet feels I could walk fast with a good pair of Sketchers sneakers.

With my black-colored Tote umbrella in one hand, I'd swing the other arm freely. Then I'd switch arm and swing the other one.

I cannot jog because then I'd bring back the heat and sweat, including the stink!

So brisk walking is not competitive, done at one's comfortable pace and enjoyable outdoors under the bright sun, blue skies and whatever tree shades I happen to offer as coolness. Plus, there are passing motorist and walkers as well as flying birds and insects to contribute to the overall walking experience.
