Topic #52: Bailout shmailout! What this country needs is…

More gardeners, farmers and healers.. There are many jobs in this sector. If I were to get a job, that would be in the field of clean up. I love cleaning up the place. That means using my almighty leaf blower. It gets the job done and removes smaller particulate like dusts and smaller insects (sorry).

With more gardeners, there would be those who specialize in making the environment beautiful with lots of plants of all sorts and flowers to give color, the eye-candy of the world. This would encourage smaller animals, such as insects and spiders to thrives. In turn, they would be food for the birds and help pollinate the garden for more food.

With more farmers, there would be those who specialize in making the SMALL plots of lands viable for growing foodstuff. There won’t be any use for slaughtering of animals or domestication because science has provided essential amino acids in the form of PILLS and the concept of free ranging animals who come and go as they please – both indoors and outdoors.

With more healers, there would be those who know how to care for the sick, comfort those in distress and administer aid to the injured and dying. Their expertise will ensure the gardeners and farmers can do their jobs by taking away the old and sick to a better place where there won’t be much pain and suffering.

This is the bailout our country needs that crossed my mind this morning. All other jobs are sub-categorized under these three major fields of environmentally sound ideals for a more Utopian society among different cultures, ethnicity, heritages and races.

I don't mind the suburbs of San Jose, CA. But our house is located on a busy intersection. The sounds of hustle and bustle from the loud mufflers of those rice rockets (which are powered by mostly Asians in lowered four-door sedans) does nothing for those people who prefer a more peaceful environment. The area smells of petroleum fuels, which comes from large trucks at ground level, mostly uneven pavement that causes heavy machinery to bounce with loud thuds, and from noisy airplanes directly overhead — the flight path of commercial airlines. Plus, the weather gets too hot during the summers and mostly cold and rainy the rest of the year. I would make this change in a new location to wherever the climate is better and the dust, debris, branches, leaves and twigs from trees nearby are taken cared off by professional gardeners, paid for by a co-op.

Topic #46: What would you send in a care package to a homesick friend spending six months abroad? You know, things to give her or him a taste of home: apple pie, a Ford Festiva, some Nicorette gum.

Back scratcher
How many people actually USES a back scratcher? The stick symbolizes someone will be there for use in places that cannot be reached!

Scented candle
If the person does react strongly to perfumed candles, this candle could have the scent of home cooking, such as gingerbread – a reminder of tasty cookies and festive holidays.

Voice greeting card
A personalized message of sounds from home in a card would help the homesick person that they are being remembered, though so far away.

Topic #50: Are you a handywoman or handyman? Describe the most impressive thing you've built/repaired/duct-taped.

When something need repair, I am somewhat of a handywoman. Just give me the proper tools and I'll try my best to fix the problem. Got a loose nail? Don't worry, a hammer will put it back. Show me a screwdriver, too. Painting is easy. Using the tape measure is easy too but cutting the part is hard. I just don't do electrical, plumbing and appliances issues. Duct tape is always useful. One time the three of us built a table for the altar out of left over wooden pieces. Most the of the ideas were from Mom. She is the foreman to Dad and me. And the work gets done right in that combination of workforce.

Topic #49: Which moments in life do you wish you could do over? In case it isn't clear, this would probably be a bad place to list "entering my current relationship."

I'd get married first and start a family. In hindsight, I'm happy — no worry, no headache, no in-laws, no children or grandchildren, no responsibilities and more traveling, more free time, more reflection in life as an older person and more opportunity to reinvent myself.

Topic #48: What’s the most awkward movie you’ve watched with your family? Did you know it might be a bad idea in advance? Did you act appalled by something you found funny (or arousing)?

I didn’t know that it would mostly dark. I cannot understand the soft spoken words and found that setting the caption helps me better appreciate the MOST movies. But my family prefers movies that make sense, more related to `real life`, and not so much science fiction.
