I think a “brotox” is worse than a “bromance”!

A rush of boring fun…
So I’m trolling a bassist’s site and clicking on the links to funny comics with captions and photos. I’ve learned two new words:
- “hadouken” — exhibiting the prowess of a dragon-ball (or similar actions therefore in the lower two regions );
- “planking” — posing like a zombie or dead person or stiff as a board (not being bored as per a reply in an OLD chatting message) and
- “owling” — posing like an owl (by squatting on and hanging both arms off) the edge of a structure/building.

To protect…
Hello boys and girls! Here is today’s word “Protect“.
verb (used with object)
1. to defend or guard from attack, invasion, loss, annoyance, insult, etc.; cover or shield from injury or danger.
2. Economics. to guard (the industry or an industry of a nation) from foreign competition by imposing import duties.
3. to provide funds for the payment of (a draft, note, etc.).—
Other references I came across are:
~Several prayers to protect.
~Responsibility to protect.
~To Protect and Serve. But I like how Team Rocket proclaims the following:
Prepare for trouble, and make it double
To protect the world from devastation,
To unite all people within our nation,
To denounce the evil of truth and love,
To extend our reach to the stars aboveJESSE! JAMES!
Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light,
Surrender now, or prepare to fightMEOWTH, that’s right!
Looks like Team Rocket’s blasting off again!—
Other thoughts include: to protect self, to protect others, to protect earth (see line from “Team Rocket” highlighted in bold font), to protect love… (Hehehe!)

Hello boys and girls! Here is today’s word: platonic relationship.
When a woman officially declares a man to be in her ‘friend zone’.
Man: “I love you”
Woman: “I love you, too”
Man: *leans in for a kiss*
Woman: *magically turns it into a hug* “You’re such a great friend.”
Man: *is now in a forced platonic relationship*—
For example, “Mr. Nice Guy” and I met online. We chatted for long hours, exchanged thoughts and ideas and got to know each other better. At first I thought this perfect gentleman was VERY “fugly” but he managed to convince me that there was nothing to fear. We loved each other. Eventually, we became “just friends” because he wasn’t my type and jobless, too! We faded quietly from each others’ lives and never returned to that “platonic relationship” from hell.

Hi, boys and girls! Here is an old word dated July 10, 2010:
A confidence trick is the use of confidence by someone when answering a question, and because of the confidence they evoke in the other person the answer is determined to be true. A good confidence trick can make anyone believe (nearly) anything because of the confidence the other person exudes whether it is true or false. The use of a confidence trick is used most by highly intelligent people because you need to be witty and the fact that you are playing off of what the person knows, and can know.

Q: So how is your new friend online? He seems to be very engaged in your weblog.
A: Oh, him! If it were not for his cute baby pic, I would not have replied to his daily comments. It’s not like he is a “fugly” troll or anything like that!Q: So, what happened to your new friend online? Why didn’t he show up as planned?
A: Ah, err! He said he was being held hostage by a bunch of people in Nigeria and needed money to bail him out. If it were not for his cute gootie pic, I would not have replied to his chatting messages. It’s not like his is a Masonic spook or anything like that! -

Hi boys and girl: Last Friday’s word is Maintenance Texts:
July 22, 2011 Urban Word of the Day
Sending text messages to those people you’d like to date “Someday” or “eventually” to remind them that you exist. It’s a low effort way to maintain a connection without having to really commit to anything serious.
—
Q: Who is that new online friend of yours? He seems to “Like” your posts and comments a lot on your weblog recently.
A: Oh, him? Yeah, well, his “maintenance texts” is probably a friendly gesture of support. It’s not like he is a “troll” or anything, ya know.

20101012-New Words
Everday I’m learning new words. Recently a “friendly” commentator to my weblog has used the word(s): “fug“, “fugly“, and “fuglies“.
Now the first word “fug” means “fucking ugly girl”; while the second set of words “fugly” and “fuglies” is short of “fucking ugly”. I didn’t know those words existed.
And these words were to describe how she didn’t like bald guys because she thought they were “fugly“. Depending on the guy, some look hot without hair!
