  • Friendly Blanket

So while having another poop session on my royal throne, I just read page 84 of my favorite book and giggled upon understanding the word:

    `Compassion`

    –noun
    1.
a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.

The author described this word `compassion` as two colors: one of rose and the other of green. There are gold speckles, too. Compassion can be described in a similar word to snuggle (or Buggle). I now can feel and sense how a combination of snuggling and burrowing in a FRIENDLY BLANKET gives meaning to the word `compassion`.

The author’s insight from over ten friggin years ago is quite amazing! In one of my mind’s many imaginary scenario, the author would ask me who I think he is. I would simply answer as Ms. Swan usually says:

    “He look-a like-a man.”

Ah, yes! He is man with special gifts, just like the boys! Damn.

  • Backdoor Wallflower

After saying goodbye to a couple of people I know and waving goodbye to a couple of strangers who cared to look my way, I discovered my purpose here that the temp job from hell. I’m a wallflower to the backdoor!

    9. Wallflower

Someone who chooses to observe, instead of experience life.

They know a lot about people, what they are truthfully like, how they actually act when they think no one is paying attention.

Since people have little interest in wallflowers, they usually know a lot about people. The good and the bad.

Wallflowers are not mean, or impolite. They are usually pleasant, and respectful- just shy and/or introverted.

Nontheless, people tend to use the word “wallflower” negatively. What a shame.

    Office lady

An office lady, often abbreviated OL (Japanese: オーエル Ōeru), is a female office worker in Japan who performs generally pink collar tasks such as serving tea and secretarial or clerical work. Like many unmarried Japanese, OLs often live with their parents well into early adulthood. Office ladies are usually full-time permanent staff, although the jobs they do usually have little opportunity for promotion, and there is usually the tacit expectation that they leave their jobs once they get married.

Often nicknamed shokuba no hana or “office flower”, these women suffered discrimination due to the M-Curve.

So does that mean I’m pretty? Not in the least but rather plain looking. Must I wear make-up? Sure! Why not? I must learn to put on a happy face, too! Maybe I’ll put a flower or plant to liven up the place and start bringing in the donuts and bagels, too!

    Konichiwa! Ohaiyogozaimasu! Bai! Bai! Sayonara!

  • Newest Domain Name

At around 8:00pm, I’ve purchased my third domain name for Flynn’s Blogs! It’s now `flynnsblogster.com`. Why?

Since `flynnsblogs.com` is already taken, my domain name includes the suffix ~ster:

    3. ster – by rickster (Jun 10, 2003)

suffix. (your first name here)ster. An easy nickname labeled on yourself or colleagues commonly used to emphasize said individuals’s aura. A person that oozes their own personality.

    Rickster

    -ster

a suffix used in forming nouns, often derogatory, referring especially to occupation, habit, or association: gamester; songster; trickster.

The original `thebloggingpath.wordpress.com` was registered in a plural and is more often associated with more than one blog:- The new owner of `flynnsblogs.com` has gotten the idea correctly. He can keep it but if not, I’ll probably buy it back later.

When I originally registered this WordPress.com domain name, I debated on whether my blog should have been singular or plural. But with my new domain name, one could see `flynnsblogster.com` as a singular -`flynnsblog`, now that it has the suffix ~ster.

It sounds like a gangster (which makes me appear tough as a hardball) and someone who is addicted to blogging, too. Further, I simply couldn’t get rid of Flynn from my domain name: It’s part of moi. For the better part of today and during working hours of course, I browsed some more online and couldn’t come up with a suitable; yet descriptive version of my MAIN WordPress.com: Flynn’s Blogs.

Now all I need is a suitable Blog Title and Tagline. I’m not too please with the shortened versions and may use something different. For the meantime enjoy reading the continuance of `Blogs by Flynn : Alternative topics and alternative rants`.

  • Jackboots Drivel

Here are more words that I’ve recently learned while lurking online:

    2. Drivel – by Sean Ambrose (Jan 18, 2008)

Drivel; To have a rant often associated with delusions of grandeur. I could just imagine the sycophantic ‘drivel’ spewed by this little despot while wearing his jackboots, ‘Albeit macht frei’ and ‘if I had another term’.

In reference to John Howard, 25th Prime minister of Australia and geriatric visionary on his appointment as speaker to the Washington speaker’s Bureau.

    1. Jackboots – by The Col. (Nov 27, 2004)

Thoes cool boots the Nazi’s use to goose step with
Jackboots are used for heiling and marching

  • New Words

While lurking online for a catchy domain name, I came across some new words (from the past, of course):

    buggle boo

Term of endearment used for your significant other. Someone that tackles another to the floor, and snuggles with them as a way of affection.

    “I love my buggle boo!”

    buggle

When one tackles another to the floor, then burrows into their shirt while snuggling them at the same time as a way of affection.

    Vinny: *buggles* ily
    Sarah: -buggles back- ily2
    Vinny: WHOO!
    Sarah: ;D
