Below are various poems of random thoughts formed out of boredom with four syllables per lines — blah!

    April Petal
    Flower of rock
    Forged by fire
    Within a ring

    The quarantine
    For forms of life
    Means the freedom
    For forms of death.

    20070902-2:55:42 PM

    So simply blessed
    Please get undressed.
    Don your new clothes
    Anything goes

    20070902-9:22:56 AM

    Oh my ‘Blog Stats’
    Up this, down that
    Or where I’m at?
    A Flatline Brat!

    20070901-11:25:08 PM

    You are a cow!
    Can I say, ‘Moo?’
    You are a sow!
    Can you say, ‘Oink?’

    20070823-10:29:15 PM

    Why piss us off?
    Poof! You’re all gone!
    Please try again.
    Love overcomes.

  • 20070903-Golden Needle

    With my newest computer craze
    During the first Microsoft days
    Articles of online glancing
    To navigate internet maze
And search engines of word and phrase
    Particles of pixels dancing

    About spinal kundalini
Expected to rub oil lamp genie
    Golden needle, chant mantra spell
    Eyes closed tightly, concentrate well
Like a newbie, felt quite teeny
    Wasn’t afraid, tad bit weenie

Count back to ten, breathing steady
    Nothing happened but was ready
From crown chakra, like lightening bolt
Down to my spine, electric jolt
Eyes flew open, calm but heady
Scared, stopped, no save — wanted my teddy!

A poem (of three, six-lined  stanzas with eight syllables in aabbaa pattern) about experimenting with meditation one day from over twenty years ago — hum.

  • 20070902-Remove All

Remove all layers of itchy clothings and protective rubber shoes
that we may be well grounded
to roll around in clay and mud as children at play,
wiggle our bare toes among the green grasses,
walk bare feet along the salty shores and
celebrate our naked heritage – wee!

Remove all old programming of opinions and prejudices
that we may be cleared minded
to breathe the fresh outdoor air,
fill our lungs with fragrant flowers,
oxygenate our memories of pine needled forest and
exhale the precious scent left by skunks – bad boy!

Remove all traces of sludge and matter
    that we may be baptized
    to drink fresh clean water,
flush our systems of any toxins,
shower our current five senses with hot and cold and
swim far away from the babbling brooks of noise – hum!

Remove all attachments of wants and needs
    that we may be renewed
to warm our old bones by the fire,
unify the true nature of Darkness – the vessel of the Light,
tan our hides under colorful rays of the Sun and
fill once again our hollow shells with Love – ah!

First attempt at combining poem and prose (hence prosetry?) with of four, six-lined stanzas in free-verse with four elemental examples. Tried running the sentences together but that looked too jumbled and hard to read — yup.

  • 20070902-Mirrored Traps

    [Star]
    Sun’s
    Sweat
    Golden
    Uncle Christ
    Father’s water Set
    Brother Solar boiling hot
Fire angels singing within the cube shaped prison

    [Satellite]
    Moon’s
    Tears
    Silver
    Auntie Christ
    Mother’s bloody fears
    Sister Lunar freezing cold
Icy grayness gonging within the dark eyed chambers

Third attempt at Fibonacci sequence (with two esoteric examples)…

  • 20070901-Pet Peeves

Repetition of action, words or deed:
Harvest and slaughter, as survival feed
Hail Mary, Our Father, Apostles’ Creed
    Drinking while driving, alcoholic need
Cigar or cigarette and smoking weed
    Shopping till dropping, fashionable bleed
Online blogs, forum chats, blind dating breed

    Detail-oriented, caring too much:
Nitpicking fuzz balls, ironing and such
    Nagging and whining, overdrive clutch
Complaining bad food, not paying go dutch
Keep everyone in place, mother hen clutch
Vice grip on freedom, painful to the touch
    Victimized train wreck, emotional crutch

    Nasty
to the five senses and beyond:
Serene to noisy, ripples in the pond
Rail thin to moo cow, feeding frenzy fond
Fleshy and bloody, waving magic wand
Speed up and slow down, sleepy traffic yawned
Young thugs to old farts, female or male bond
Soul suckers, lab ratters, aliens spawned

    All
    the confusion, shatter illusion:
No god to One kind, faithful infusion
    Social unity, lonely seclusion
    Blissful ignorance, knowledge diffusion
    Marriage to money, honey transfusion
    Loving and sharing, blessed conclusion
    Always pondering, all one delusion

Another attempt at a partial and forever incomplete ‘list poem’ (of three, seven-lined stanzas with ten syllables in the easy but my all time favorite rhyme scheme — monorhyme) about everything conceivably annoying to me – hum.

  • 20070831-Top Ten Snags

Top Ten Snags To Encounter When Doing Business With ‘Foreigners’

    10. Never expect anything in return. You will never see a penny.
    9. Imagine all the riches in the world. You will have to sell your soul.
    8. Guaranteed to make you happy. You will wait for ever.
    7. Eternally in your debt. You will have bad credit and end up filing bankruptcy.
    6. Risky and speculative deal. You will be working hard for the rest of your life.
    5. I don’t want to DIE! Please save me! You will never believe people fall for this one.
    4. Always think positive. You will be good as dead.
    3. Possibly the best investment in a lifetime. Your will wire your life savings to us.
    2. Don’t tell another soul. You might get the evil, ‘One-Eye’.
    1. Find another sucker. You might be next!

First attempt at ‘list poem’ in free-verse.

  • 20070831-Relative Thieves

    9. Encountering open palms extended upward to greet the receipt of cash as gifts.
    8. Loving your long lost kin folks, which include every stranger in the small town.
    7. Avoiding a slow death (such as foot amputation) by sending 24,000 pesos.

    5. Helping those in the most need by donating $500.00 for a hemorrhoid operation.
    4. Instilling hope in your kin’s future by sponsoring the ‘smart ones’ for education.
    3. Establishing shelters with monthly support for electrical and telephone services.
    2. Vouching for business endeavors that cannot be paid back no matter how lucrative.
    1. Saving your pension and retirement funds for their burial and funeral services.

Another attempt at ‘list poem’ combined with acrostic about dirt poor relatives in the Philippines devising credible and somewhat believable schemes for monetary aide. These examples are water-downed versions of the Nigerian 419 Advance Fee Fraud Scams.

  • 20070830-Good Ova

I am your ‘God’ — the egg of Truth
    Female Beauty, loving fully
    Laughing loudly, crying softly
    Faithfully yours, eternally mine

    Comparing words, competing rhymes
    Sharing your truths, opinions’ crimes
Morning Atoms, Eves of the nights
    Shadowed darkness, infinite lights

Two thought provoking stanzas of eight syllables.

  • 20070830-Evening Birds

    20070830-08:04PM

    Honkings of the geese
    V-shapes forming purple skies
    Goodnight and southbound

    20070830-07:30PM

    ‘Kwer-tee’ parakeet ‘poo-poo-poo’
    Happy birds making happy sounds
    ‘Kwi-ta-ta-ta, keet-coo-eat-eat!’
You are happy birds, up and down!

Various poem of sounds from our feathered friends.

  • 20070830-Afternoon Poems

    20070830-03:41PM

Come to think of ‘IT’: —
    ‘I’ is my eye with
    ‘T’ as my cross.

I cross my eyes not to see
    Straight ahead but
    The unfocused path of
    blurriness and
    As I bear this cross,
    The path becomes straighter.

Come to think of ‘IT’: —
‘I’ may have lost my way.

    20070830-03:32PM

    An awakening
    Observers observing us
    Through my window blinds

    20070830-03:28PM

    Tickle my tika
    Squeezing between my eyebrows
    Red dot laughs out loud

    20070830-03:20PM

    My golden stamp of approval
    Upon my untouchable forehead
Fleshy eyeballs of two black dots
By the Dark Ones, an unknown purpose
‘Autobot’ or ‘Decepticon’; transform and roll.

    20070830-02:58PM

Oh my shadow – my darkest side!
You know me well – my deepest pride.
When I transform to love and light,
I won’t forget — not wrong or right.

    Oh my shadow of nothingness!
    You follow me through loneliness.
When my path ends through think and thin,
    You’re always here somewhere within.

    20070830-02:00PM

    Eagle’s feather white
Set against the clear blue skies
    By God’s right hand

Various poems created in the afternoon while in the waiting room of the MRI. Noticed layout of waiting room is similar to my blog entitled 20070827-Dream Times.

  • 20070830-Old Farts

Flush out the cooties; lewd acts for booties
Blow out the boogers; sexual poopers
Predators display; dirty old men gay

    Vile baddies affair; congressional lair
    Shaytanic obsessed; senators possessed
    American’s blood; presidential mud

Flaming the vile moles; political holes
Bringing public shame and the blaming game
Fined with guilty plea. Resign unto me!

Another dark, political poem (of nine lines with ten syllables and internal rhymes) regarding the recent news about Senator Larry Craig of Idaho. There are many more horror stories similar to this one that goes unnoticed by the media.

  • 20070829-Daily Diary

    Two months of blue skies
    Clear as the baby’s bottom
    Powder puffs of sylphs

    Friday through Monday
    Flushed cheeks stained my horizon
Baby’s blood by their spew planes

    Sweaty hot Tuesday
    Global warming hotter sun
    Dries dirty laundry

Three weather related poems of haiku. Mostly clear blue skies in the Bay Area with one rainy Wednesday since June 2007.
