This morning the crazed, old woman (Senora Josie) gave us some nice stuff to wear on our clothing. These are two pins. She first handed me an angel pin. Then she handed Maw a pin showing a mother and child.
Later she showed me attached to her right collar a blue, ceramic pin, which read ‘Perfect Angel’. I believe my ‘prayers’ have been answered ever since I been praying that people like her find peace. She is still grieving for her cousin/husband, whom she found dead while she ranted at him for sitting in the dark and on his chair, by the way.
Yesterday, the Vietnamese woman, who normally sits to Josie’s right in front of the pew from us, complained that Josie won’t stop minding other people’s business, would argue when she walked into the church that day and usually make all sorts of noise and faces at the old Asian lady for not raising the kneeling pad upon her arrival.
All we could do is smile and make the old Mexican smile. Her much older sister also mentioned that although her younger sister does appear to be helping her community, sometimes the effort is not reciprocated and unwanted when someone makes too much fuss.
Regardless, this is a synchronous sign of her handing me that angel pin tells me that her angels and everyone’s GUARDIAN angels are ever present and by the sides of their wards. I wonder why my own family don’t take a hint, no matter how I try to throw them many messages into the air and into their airheads.
