Describing my immediate surroundings towards the beginning and a twist to the tale or possible solutions to issues towards the end of some blogs and how they relate to my expectations of the world at large.

  • 20101205-Weathery Ways

Well, the whole day was mostly gray clouds. The rain came and went and for awhile the sunshine came out. Maw and I had breakfast until Paw was awoken at around 9:00am when Maw said loudly that the two of us were to go shopping – first, Fry’s Electronics (for paper, ink and financial software), then Wienerschnitzel (for a large fries), then Payless Shoes store (for a somewhat comfortable high heel), then CVS/Pharmacy (for a box of chocolates, odor eaters).

I found out that I could use a number 220 Dr. Scholl’s foot gel because of low arches!

  • 20101204-Tweaking Again

This time I’ve switched back to theme Pilcrow by Automattic and set the “Default Layout” to “Full-Width, No Sidebar”. So temporarily I’ve got a nice “static page” of an image showing Satan falling down. This single “religious” painting was an “Image widget” found in the sidebar. To place this image as my “front/home page” was an inspiration from two weblog sites showing “St. John the Baptist” and “God surrounded by Angels”. The appearance my weblog site has taken a more website approach.

I’ve added more drop-down “customized menus” of three poems and a “Welcome back!” link. And the “About” menu has two children: one about the blog site and one about moi! Both children have their own kids – FAQ, like “The Facts of Life” a televised American sitcom.

The only way to view the index pages of “Recent posts” is either the “Archives” page by month and its hierarchical “categories” or the “Blog” page of latest blog entries. “Subscribing to Blog” is better, though, because its excerpts give the readers a chance to “continue reading” or not.

  • Series Shocks

For the past few days, I’ve felt dizzy, woozy and just plain winded-out as if I’m not breathing deeply enough to keep from fainting or going unconscious.

Last night while switching my WordPress.com themes, I’ve drifted off to sleep several times. I’ve felt a series of system jolts. Those electrified jolts would try to wake me up but I was feeling very weak and sleepy.

Sometimes I would feel the swaying of earthquakes and even the rumblings as if earthquakes were inside my body. My muscles would twitch and I’ve been getting muscle cramps in my lower extremities (i.e. over the foot, near the ankle area and my calves).

Whatever is going is is taking a toll on my sleeping pattern and tolerance for staying alive.

  • 20101204-Tweaking Again

Okay, I’ve switched WordPress.com themes again. Since late last night (Friday), I noticed two new features added for certain WordPress.com themes: “background” and “header”. For example, Theme: Day Dream by Jim Whimpey, now sports a “background”, which I changed the color to match the pink rose. It’s really pretty now! I think WordPress.com is getting closer to my expectations of an “ideal weblog”.

  • 20101204-Weathery Ways

It was rainy the whole day, especially after we finished eating at Erik’s Deli Cafe. Earlier wasn’t cold at all but it started to sprinkle while waiting at the white zone for the twosome to finish a blood work. During my six hours of nap from mid-day to around 3:45pm, I believe the sunshine came out. I saw a long horizontal cloud (westward) through groggy eyes as I drifted back to sleep. Laundry was done and so was dinner.

  • 20101103-Tweaking Again

I’ve changed WordPress.com themes again! It went from Journalist and Blix to Ambiru. I noticed that I could change the “background” and “header”. The “background” is a “dark pastel” variation of a dark purple color scheme; while the “header” is my favorite rainbow of color – of gay pride but of bird people, whose clothes are colorful, if not, “psychedelic” in patterns of swirls, circles, etc.

I like this one for now because its a single, narrow (or one-column) theme. Again, I wanted a “static page” for my “front/home page” to give a “web-like” appearance of “posts” to my “weblog” of “posts”. Get it? I’m still looking around for a theme that has the option of removing the “Site title”; “tagline”; “header” and “top/navigation bar”, leaving just my BIG image of Satan falling down to earth. That’s me a fallen angel – aka Fallenduh! Get it?

  • First Show

“[dominant blogging platform, an open source…]”

So I’m watching a few minutes of Episode 29 as this would be the first “up close” visual and audio of the Matt meister! As for the beard adventure, yeah, he looks good with the facial hair. It makes him look more mature and rugged!

And I didn’t know he had, like, a slight accent, which is neat. I’m not sure from where but he’s clear enough. I’m at the 7:00 mark and yeah, I love his accent. He’s quite a talker too and very knowledgeable with his precious puppy – WordPress. Again, if I were asked simple questions, I’d get a brain block, meaning the words are stuck in the brain and won’t come out fast enough or flow normally as expected.

    “I’m not smart. I’m not good-looking. But I’m tall!”

~Mike just backing out from the back parking lot en route to lunch…

    —

Dear Mike: With that regard, it doesn’t matter as long as there is a connection, a resonance – or some mojo with the people around you. You are smart and good-looking, just like Matt. Hahahaha!

Ack! I see a tongue flicker! That’s at around the 11:32 mark! That’s close to the mark of 11:33 – a double-digit, digit! Aaahhh! I know. I’m making up stories. Fine. People have dry lips and well, I’ve recently started using lip balm instead of lipstick, which could have lead made overseas or so I’ve read somewhere. My lips chap (or peel) from certain lipstick formulas.

So while half-listening, I’m interested in investing in small businesses such as his platform. I kind of pity the Facebook dude. He’s smart and innovative, too. People just prefer privacy, security and anonymity at all cost. That’s what I like about blogging with WordPress because my contents can be provocative and controversial and still no one really cares.

Whereas Facebook one’s identity is known. One day I may share a piece of my weblog under my true identity. But that would mean going back to older posts and cleaning those up – a tremendous and daunting task indeed.

Hats off to the trailblazers of the Bay Area! Whoo! Hooo!

Addendum: Tongue flicker again at the 23:43 mark. Please humor me folks! It’s part of the creative process! Sheesh! Notice the balance of the number three.

  • Pho Viet Lunch

So for lunch, Vinnie, Mike, Hoan and moi went to:

    Pho Viet.

    I ordered a small number 12: Lean Well-Done Brisket – Pho Chin.

I ate everything up. And if no one was looking, I’d lift up the bowl and drink ALL of the salty soup! I still had space to finish two small cups of hot tea and one tall, blue plastic glass of ice water. A hungry piggy is what I am! Yup!

Besides, the kindness of Mike driving (most of the time), the guys were kind to allow me to sit with my backs towards the heating lamp. Mike and Vinnie (who was to my right) sat at circular table number 45. Hoan and I sat at circular table number 44, which is the designated number of President Barack Hussein Obama.

Later on after work, I pulled up an old, work email (now archived and dated Monday, July 12, 2010 7:24:30 AM) and saw JenJen’s personal email ends in three digits. That’s supposed to mean “spook”. I wanted to send her a personal text message and find out: “Are you okay? Where are my delicious tamales?”

    “KTNXBI”

  • Legal Loopy Holes

The reason why the legal text is so friggin’ complicated and so difficult to understand is for those, who actually “drafted” these bills turned into laws, to take advantage of the information and reap the benefits thereof LEGALLY.

The rest of us are left clueless and penniless, like moi.

“I knew what you are talking about without having to tell me in detail.”

~Maw the other night after dinner…

By listening carefully to how the politicians are sending their messages and by using her common sense and heart to discern what is right from wrong, she knows that no one is to be trusted and the “bad guys” should be punished for deceiving the “good guys”.

  • Five Questions

While lurking online, here is a dating article of which my answers are in parentheses:

5 key questions to ask on a date
    By Ayren Jackson-Cannady

    1. What’s your favorite scene from your favorite book or movie?

(Let’s see. My memory fails me. I’ll get back to you on that. Oh yeah: I liked how Forrest Gump just ran a “non-stop” marathon. And in one scene, he wiped down his face on someone’s T-shirt. His sweat imprinted the infamous “smiley face”.)

    2. What do you love about your job?

(I love the ability to browse online and blog. Actually, it’s the independence to work at a slow pace and still be able to meet deadlines with a bunch of deadbeats.)

    3. What’s your definition of a relationship?

(I believe in free-will. Therefore, I expect you to cheat on me and still be happy to see me.)

    4. If money were no object, what would you do with your life?

(I’d like to travel to religious and sacred sites, including architectural wonders, like the Great Wall of China, Taj Mahal, etc.)

    5. Will you share an embarrassing moment with me?

(Yeah, I walked around with cranberry-like stains on the back of my pants until a nice white lady told me. I didn’t align my feminine napkin correctly, sat crooked in the white, Honda Accord, got out to walk from the parking lot garage and onto the SJSU campus when someone approached me from behind. I looked back to see other people walking in my direction.)

    —

If I ever had to date again, do NOT ever ask me hard questions such as the above five questions, which were hard enough for me to answer without making up a story!

  • 20101203-Tweaking Again

So last night, I switched WordPress.com themes and went back to theme Journalist by Lucian E. Marin. Since no one reads my precious pages and with millions of other blogs out there, I’ve stream-lined the sidebar and placed only three widgets:

    • Search (a search form)
    • Custom Menu (Main menu)
    • Text (Custom CSS)

I like this theme because of:

    • the date/time stamps for both “posts” and “pages” and
    • the templates for both “Archives” and “Links”.

I expect to get easily bored with plainess of basic white and black colors and would prefer colors and more sidebar widgets with my precious images, which no one clicks.

Hmm. I should register a new WordPress.com weblog and find a catchy url name and later purchase a domain name. I already have one in private mode. Maybe I’ll keep that one but it won’t have the high count for the stat blogs.

    Bah!

  • Maximize Moolah

    In recent news:

House votes to extend middle-class tax cuts, but real action is elsewhere
By jsasseen – 2 hrs 2 mins ago
    By Jane Sasseen
    Yahoo! News

A sharply divided House of Representatives passed legislation Thursday afternoon to extend the George W. Bush tax cuts for individuals earning under $200,000 and couples earning less than $250,000.

    —

There is no middle-class! There are only two layers – up and down, rich and poor. Just maximize wealth so that those with good intentions could continue to serve humanity and its denizens of this planet. You know what I mean. I see where y’all are going with this issue. Chop! Chop!
