On Thursday, the three of us inquired what happened with our party affiliation. We had made the changes last year and the guy (with a gut and beige-colored shirt) CHANGED it that day!
I further inquired on what is the different among the political party and got a two-paged `Political Party Statement of Purpose`. Here is the .pdf file from the `California Secretary of State` website: Political Party.

AMERICAN INDEPENDENT PARTY

GREEN PARTY
The Green Party is a values-based, international political phenomenon, with thousands of offi ceholders worldwide in elected municipal, county, and federal public offi ces.
