  • Dream seas rushing sound

20221207-0255. Like I said last night I said the Our Father prayer and another prayer while having a nightmare.

I was struggling to breathe as I still don’t have my replacement Phillips Respironics CPAP device for my OSA Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

In this nightmare, I could hear the sound of rising ocean sea water, meaning the OSA is probably triggering my hypertension.

(You idiots hate me so much that I’m not allowed to have my CPAP machine at this point.)

Anyways, I was struggling to wake up from what might be a sleep paralysis because I was observing from a third person POV (point-of-view).

But I was inside my body and using my mind’s eyeballs and metal forcing myself to wake up by saying the Our Father prayer and probably other Catholic prayers such as the Apostles Creed and Glory Be.

I kept repeating the prayers and forcing myself to come outta sleep mode. These events has happened many times in the past and there prayerful technique has helped tremendously.

Although I-AM a critic of religious and spiritual stuff, Our Father saves us all. See?

    That’s all. Flynn’s Paws.

  • Strange but I pray differently.

    20220930-0032. http://messiahmews.blogspot.com/2022/09/our-spiritual-world-self-defense-prayers.html

Panic mode prayers. For some strange reason, I don’t seem to ask for help using the words as I feel that I’m NOT worthy.

I don’t think or say: help me or save me. For whatever reason again, I think that’s selfish. Am I incorrect?

My understanding or philosophy is that our shortcomings, obstacles, or whatever frustrates us is a deserving punishment while in flesh and blood form.

These alleged bad luck or bad karma are once again meant to be harsh teachers sent to test us and burn us enough to understand that we are NOT worthy to stand in the presence of GOD, the Almighty, Our Heavenly Father.

Do y’all understand? My Catholic prayers goes something like this: forgive us our sins and save us from the fires hell. Thank you Father for protecting us against the wickedness and shares of the Devils.

Those are my prayers and on the “sang real” most holy and “sang real” divine of Yeshua, of course. For Jesus delivered us from mortal sins, but GOD yeets our spiritual sins.

    Just saying. That’s all. FlynnsPaws.

Prayer for the United States God our Father, Giver of life, we entrust the United States of America to Your loving care. You are the rock on which this nation was founded. You alone are the true source of our cherished rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Reclaim this land for Your glory and dwell among Your people. Send Your Spirit to touch the hearts of our nation’s leaders. Open their minds to the great worth of human life and the responsibilities that accompany human freedom. Remind Your people that true happiness is rooted in seeking and doing Your will. Through the intercession of Mary Immaculate, Patroness of our land, grant us the courage to reject the “culture of death”. Lead us into a new millennium of life. We ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

FLYNN’S afterthoughts: While listening to the radio on the road or at home, I can’t remember, a guest speaker said something about protecting rights as opposed to bestowing rights. 2004, my incoming thoughts indicated that y’all must earn your rights, much like rites of passage. See? Though my small mind is distracted, some inspirational tidbits drift into this blog. Eat it well.

“She is the one who doesn’t have a peace of mind.” ~Maw said of today’s birthday celebrant. And it’s true. Malformed has been annoying people with her parties. And if I recall long ago/currently, the Shillster hates Malformed for hugging/kissing the nemesis, BitterMelon. So it has been like that with our paternal bloodline — mean, nasty and clueless — but nice when partying.

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. ” (Mt 11:28).

Do you know who needs rest? The three sisters, especially psycho Malouse, who cannot stop throwing parties for everything to include prayers sometimes, too! Even Bella admitted to being sick and tired of attending her parties.

Here is scanned duplex image of “A Novena for Peace of Mind”, followed by the Novena Prayer:

    Novena Prayer

O Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You, hoping for all things from Your goodness. You make a root flourish beneath the soil and You can make fruitful the darkness in which I find myself today.

I adore You in all Your purpose even without knowing them; Your will be done, not mine. May I be patient! It is so difficult to realize that these trials, heartbreaking as they are, can be turned into blessings.

Lord, give me peace of mind, peace of heart, and peace of soul, as I offer You my thoughts, my words, and my actions, an yes, Lord, my sufferings. May they all be for Your greater glory. Amen.

Addendum: The strange thing I noticed about this paper are the fine white lines of crinkles as if this has been an old copy of some sort.

At 11:44 we left home for to attend the “Celebration of the Lord’s Passion until 1500! God!

Anyway, after each station… we recited: “The Way of the Cross” from 1100 to 1130.

    Where your there when:

    1. the judge condemned my Lord
    2. he carried forth the beam?
    3. he fell beneath its weight?
    4. he saw his Mother weep?
    5. they called for Simon’s help?
    6. Veronica wiped his face?
    7. he fell again in pain?
    8. the women mourned from him?
    9. he fell yet once again?
    10. they stripped him of his clothes?
    11. they nailed him to the cross?
    12. he yielded up his soul?
    13. they took his body down?
    14. they laid him in the tomb?

Then we listened to “The Seven Last Words” by seven lecturers from 1130 to 1215:

    1. “Father forgive them, they know not what they do.” ~Luke 23:33-34.
    2. “Today you will be with me in Paradise.” ~Luke 23:42-43.
    3. “Woman, behold, your son… Behold, your mother.” ~John 19:26-27.
    4. “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” ~Mark 15:33-34.
    5. “I thirst.” ~John 19:28-29.
    6. “It is finished.” ~John 19:30.
    7. “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” ~Luke 23:44-46

Then from 1230 to 1500, we listened to the “Liturgy of the Word”, participated the “Adoration of the Holy Cross” (of which I touched my forehead to the middle of the plain wooden cross located up front instead of kissing/wearing down the lacquer – Eww!), and received Holy Communion afterwards.

Father Mike, Shawn (who presided over the Station of the Cross), Paul (who helped with the Adoration of the Cross for the disabled) and the Iloco (who Prayer of the Faithful) celebrated. Father Mike was REALLY good/thorough and sang REALLY nice, too.

After receiving a plastic grocery bag of “calamansi” lemon from “Minh” prior to the start of mass Tuesday morning, Maw showed me a new bookmark from the Diocese of San Jose (www.dsj.org). The back of the bookmark shows credits for the photo (Cathedral Basilica of Saint Joseph) and photographer (Sofyan Nugroho), along with the stylized mobius scrolls forming a Satanic value of “666” and  the following:

    Prayer of Thanks

Heavenly Father, We give you thanks for the inspiration of your Holy Spirit as we reflect on the Gospel call to exercise Christ’s stewardship on our journey of faith.

We ask you to guide us in our discernment, and show us how to be faithful in the plans we make, the actions we take, and the love we share on our pilgrim way.

Give us the courage to find wisdom in our sacrifices, joy in our generosity, and hope in the compassion we show, especially to those most in need of your comfort and care.

And create in us a more open heart and a greater awareness of our need to grow, to change, to be transformed, so that we may be better stewards of your gifts for the good of all.

We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

I was trying to “spring clean” again (unsuccessfully) and found “MILANO 15 – PRINTED IN ITALY” card showing an image of a “Santo Niño”:

On the back of this image card, there is a personal message hand-written by a late “Lola”:

    “Tanging ala – ala ko

    sa aking mga Apo

    ang mahal na sara –

    wan ng Poong

    Santo Niño.

    Lola.

    Ito’y ay benditado

Here are some fundamental thoughts for all followers of CHRIST (aka “Christians”):

“But for me as a Christian, it also coincides with Jesus’s teaching that “for unto whom much is given, much shall be required.”  It mirrors the Islamic belief that those who’ve been blessed have an obligation to use those blessings to help others, or the Jewish doctrine of moderation and consideration for others.”

“To answer the responsibility we’re given in Proverbs to “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.” And for others, it may reflect the Jewish belief that the highest form of charity is to do our part to help others stand on their own.”
