A literal technique ‘opposite’ to prose (e.g. everyday speech).

  • 20070105-Four Corners

We believe we’re God, the One and the same.
We exist alone for this whirled-peas game.
We believe we’re God, like many others.
We’re not alone and at peace with brothers.

I believe I’m God, the One and the same.
I exist alone in this whirled-whore shame.
I believe I’m God. And there are others.
I’m not alone and at war with brothers.

Another poem of two, four-lined stanzas of AABB pattern with internal rhymes.

Author’s note: Based on ‘Pascal’s Wager‘.

  • 20061228-Might Grow

Go with the flow is all I know.
With each other we will all grow.
To learn each day of love and light.
    To deny ignorance with might.

Another quatrain poem in aabb pattern.

  • 20061224-Tis Season

It’s the season for Made in Love
    and gifting without shopping shove.
    Expect nothing when you return
the hard earned gifts of our concern.

How could I share what is not there
or what to wear on date of dare?
From high places, they read my blog
about these foolish brats and a dog

Or shaved chicken born without hair
and haughty cows with shiny flair?
A former blog is now defunct
by those who would have me debunked.

Three stanzas of quatrain poems with eight syllables in aabb, ccdd, ccee pattern.

  • 20061212-Raging Thought

    It’s not ‘just a thought’
    over my distraught
    of having been bought
    by those who have sought
    from losing a lot.

    My ‘ragging’ the wrought
    has led me to naught
    of silicon snots
    who rightly fought
    and have not been caught.

A poem of two, five-lined stanzas with five syllables in monorhyme.

  • 20061208-Daily Diary

    Streetlights flickered off
as I drove on my way home
    near a greasy place.
    One forty-four thousand trough
is owed by her saving grace.

    Another attempt at tanka poetry.

  • 20061204-Daily Diary

Saw Mandarin symbol at two p.m.
Per forum thread at four-thirty p.m.
From a greasy place where I sat and stank
I saw the same symbol upon a bank.

Red truck made U-turn in front of house.
Saw old man in mall wear blue, island blouse.
Jupiter magazine; he held in his hands
and Saturn magazine- pink and blue lands.

Another poem of two stanzas with ten syllables in aabb pattern.

  • 20061201-Smiling Acorn

An acorn was smiling from a tall Cyprus tree.
We were putting X-mass lights for all to see.
‘Paw’ and I work well together as a team.
This was during my T-day holiday theme.

    From early mid-morning to mid-afternoon,
both stapled each line without skipping a tune.
From garage to front porch with ‘Mar’ helping too,
we tested the old lights and three reindeer stands new.

Another poem of two, four-lined stanzas with thirteen syllables in AABB pattern.

  • 20061125-Prayerful Poem

    Prayerful Poem:

Angel of death and angel of mercy
show unto my kindred folks the angel of fun.

Fighting and fun are not the same.
Finding lost love is not the game.

    There is no blame.
    There is no shame.

Angle of fun is of the sun
that warms the planet with its four golden sons.

  • 20061125-Fools’ Blingos

    The hidden brothers
    ate the forbidden apple.
    To be among fun
but none of them passed the test
    for the eternity bliss.

    They are seven knights
who fight to keep us alive.
    Here is a postscript:
They cannot buy love for us.
    Love is greater than honey.

Two samples of tanka with no end rhymes.

  • 20061124-Writing Arm

To wake up with back pain pinching
and hearing my back bone crunching.
Right arm felt the weakened flinching.
    I could barely type
with the sounds of my neck scrunching.
    I could hardly wipe.

    Another attempt at Burns Stanza.

    Cute is everywhere.
Shared pics with old soul BratBoy,
    which is only fair.

    Man has potential
    To achieve God consciousness

    Creating angels
    Sharing love along this path
    Helping of the damned
