20111213-Wise Words
At 02:00am, I awoke to use the toilet. Maw was also wide awake. I heard her turn on the radio with the crunchy sounds of the volume on/off dial. She then came into my room and shared the following thoughts:
If someone annoys you, stay away from that person. When you turn away, don’t feel bad. Think positive.
If you have problem in life, if you really, truly love the ones on something, tell them.
If someone doesn’t get it, stay away from Mercedes, for example.
But it does not mean to ignore them completely. Do not show you negative face.
[If you tell an old man who needs help, he might resent being a bad boy.]
In his mind he is doing alot in life. But as a husband, it ends up he is NOT doing alot.
Don’t talk about money. Use it the way you want it for yourself and you know your limit.
That is your lucky day when someone comes your way.
You did your best and accomplish something in life.
I know what people needs. Don’t absorb it. But don’t take it so seriously

Here is yet some notable words of wisdom by Maw a few days ago:
“I cannot give a lot on my fixed income and then have my local parish turn around and tell me that they didn’t ask for my donation. Had I known about the situation, you can count on me anytime.”

From what we gathered, the florist for our church used his own money to make beautiful flower arrangement. He happens to be a very LONG-FACED but VERY sensitive soul. And now that we are aware of the situation, we just need to be there whenever the need arises.
With regard to “my family”, it wouldn’t make sense to continue down that road. What was supposed to have been a promise has become reality. I’m jobless again. And without income, I cannot repay my family but with servitude of menial chores, gardening and chauffering.

“Are you going to get married?” Maw asked.
“I used to date a girl but it didn’t work out.” Alan replied.
“With my current medical condition, no on would want me.” He said. “And besides, once you get married, you cannot complain.”

This is the profound truth: It is better to be alone than to be with the WRONG person. I wonder if the boy has learned some wise words from his old high school friend. Perhaps, he should have bought his favorite dog, a Beagle and be happy that way.
