    To the Boss:

Maw and Paw ate the “bibingka” (two ubi and two regular) snack in under five minutes! Bahaha! I only had one bite because of my damn diet.

Tell your Mom, Evil Kitty and her caretakers have been appeased with her proffering of nom-noms. Her sins have been forgiven. Now run along and play. Get!

    Thanks,

    Flynn…

    To the Boss:

Are you feeling okay? Your pale face didn’t look good during mid-morning mass today. I messed up harmony.

The old choir member who sang harmony with me complained about Sister Sara possibly taking away Good Friday. I mentioned that the feminine “Nazi” is singing too loud over the microphone; messing up people; and changing the music.

What is the point of having a core conductor/music director if she dictates everything/everyone? For one week, I’ve been praying that you’d be okay with our local parish.

Thanks for the 2014 Supplement Keyboard Accompaniment (ocp.org) – I’m not sure if the handwriting on blue sticky note is yours, and “Angel’s Choir” (by John Rutter) of which I cried a little bit at the second verse before the first Gloria verse. Are y’all sure I’m NOT needed for anything else? Interesting/positive feedback.

Anyway, at the vestibule, en route to mass, one Mexicana/white/short-haired/brunette lady at sign-up sheet table for three Bible readings/seminars/lectures/whatever, hugged/thanked me for singing so well during yesterday morning’s mass (Saturday 8 AM).

(Off-topic: Besides making Amen to your Mom for delicious food/new music before mid-morning mass, made Amen to Inday, an old Visayan lady in your Mom’s “Legion” yesterday after morning mass. Her mind may be going away but she liked my “blond ambition” hair.)

    Thanks,

    Flynn…

Saw old man fixing stuff in the vestibule. Greeted him: Manong!

Started standing up momentarily at pew (like Chinese folks do) while waiting for slower parents to seat themselves, then I’ll kneel and sit at the same time they do (like Chinese kids would do out of respect).

Well, this morning saw little “Dark Rice” and her mom, both of whom were not attending morning mass, say, since the start of Labor Day. Assumed that she’d cantor tonight but I don’t know. Was just wondering, of course. Hmm.

Helped singing with Thai to keep the notes longer, smoother, and in tune for this morning’s Communion Song! Sang loud enough so Math/Arsenio could hear. Yawn! Boring!

Afterwards while sitting, made Cheshire-cat like smile while baring teeth, quickly closed lips and eye lids, lowered head knowingly as pastor observed silently; while snickering to myself and wondering if I’m still needed around this place. Yawn! Boring!

Three days ago, gave same old Filipino man a couple of kisses on right cheek, like kin folks of his Bayan. No harm. Parents were there to comfort him. Two days ago, greeted his daughter and grandson, who is taller. She said something about prayers on the 21st.

    To the Boss:

Finished scanning Sister Sara’s new music “Mass of Joy and Peace”; trimming/taping four of six pages to “Glory to God”; updating our shared folder; and preparing white binder for organist.

It took a couple of hours prior to sunset, into twilight, and after dinner. I’m sweating like heck under THICK/double/reversable t-shirt. No air-con. Yay! I am such good girl, yes!?

Next time, I’ll have to learn to go with the flow, dance with the music, and get along with the decider, your Mom, even though “technically” it’s not nice to embarrass the “substitute”, Adele, and moi with someone else’s “agenda”…

    Thanks,

    Flynn…

Per my smartphone notes taken on 20130914-0928am.

Two days ago, Father Peter mentioned something about those people who won’t be attending mass have forgotten the meaning “discipleship”. I scratched Maw on her right thigh with my left fingernails to alert her that perhaps “word got around” that we got pissed at certain people.

WTF? We are attending morning mass from Monday through Friday! And to make up for our absence this evening, we attended morning mass, which is seldom. I actually like Saturday morning mass because it’s calmer! Whereas I’m already ragged by the evening and too stressful from singing.

Two days before two days ago, the same priest sermoned about something I forgot. But if I remember, I’ll update this blog post entry/paragraph.

Per smartphone notes on 20130910-0810am. Father Peter sermoned on the previous weekend on both masses – Saturday and Sunday about a child who got lost in the mall. He had his mother’s purse. She was so distracted while shopping that she and her son got separated from each other. She told him that he if behaved she would buy him whatever he wanted. I forgot the humor or moral of the story because I was too deaf to hear WTF he was saying.

At 1449, the Squirrel meant to text his wifey. After saying prayers/singing music to the SHJ and IMH at 1519, I texted a reply “Haha! Duh! Wrong person!” My bad!

    —

I now realize the meaning of “keeping in touch”. While sitting here in front of my primary computer (Windows 7), upstairs on the hard/padded steel/folding chair, under the warmth of sunshine filtering through opened window and past wooden blinds to my right and upon my highlighted “blond ambition” hair, I feel disconnected not communicating with both the Boss and his Mom. These two mysterious people are like my second skin – the roughened reptilian thickness that is difficult to shed, let alone, to figure out.

It’s only been less the 24 hours since texting her and I’m wondering if she received my “thoughts” to just drop-it/don’t bother calling me/don’t worry because I’m a bad girl who will show up next week or maybe tomorrow if y’all still “really” need me! NOT! Besides, it’s none of my problem as a volunteer, who is an outsider orbiting the group/stranger looking inside for fun as support, not “supot” (a Filipino word for “bag” or an analogous imagery meaning “sack”!) Bahaha!

It’s been one-half week between seeing and texting the Boss. Now, really, that’s what happens when people appear to work VERY well together – cooties! That’s right! Things could get too personal. Humor me, freaks! But it’s okay because we’re all artistically weird with problems of our own. Hopefully, as Christians we could learn NOT to pass judgement so quickly/harshly and forgive just as easily like farts/burps/hot air.

I think that’s why I’m feeling worn-down/sleepy. I got too involved emotionally/passionately on something that I thought that I was REALLY good/loved at heart – music! Bahaha! Whatever. Again, I better just enjoy the ride and do my best NOT to mess up the parishioners worshiping the invisible god/goddess/graven images. It’s not worth troubling myself over since I may NOT stay long. It’s getting rather “boring”. Yawn! My bad! As a creative soul, I can create stuff and over flourish the essence of my writing.

    To the Boss:

Anyway, I’m really getting burned-out from all the singing. For most my life, I’ve been taking the back-seat as a spectator and NOT as a participant. I’ve been mostly a private person. And now I was invited to sing loud and strong in public! OMG! Y’all don’t know the weird feeling of pushing aside fear and then crashing VERY hard from all the excitement. It’s too much for me!

I’ve been crying a lot lately as a result. And now I can’t seem to leave your Mom’s group for fear that she might get a nervous breakdown from “abandonment”. It seems that a cantor was too sick to perform this weekend. That’s bad coming from the mother. So I really don’t like to be part of lying either. Escaping is NOT the answer to dedication.

Now Evil Kitty will curl up into a nice fuzz-ball and die a slow death of despair and desolation. Pray for Evil Kitty that she will wake up happy and bright. Goodnight! (I rhymed again!)

    Thanks,

    Flynn…

    To the Boss:

I’m still deliberating how involved or close I should get with the Mom. I don’t think we Christian folks are too bold or brutally honest to tell her about how she is operating. If I say the wrong things, she might get all messed up. So, that’s why I need to know her background or other secrets. It takes me 48 hours to digest the situation and regurgitate the truth. Like now, it’s already 48 hours and I changed my mind again! How’s that for an indecisive person?

First thing. You and your Mom must stop doing last minute switcheroo’s! Once a call has been made and the target has been assigned, don’t change it! You must have an emergency back-up somewhere if the first person balks! Don’t insert the “Little-Crow’s” mother into the paid “substitute”. You are insulting him! He is a professional, unlike that old lady! (Then again it’s fine if the kid does both R&A, not split it up between her and me. Okay? Good.) Come on! Get with the program. That’s why I can’t go back to her group if she continues to allow these damn stinkers to mess up music/embarrass themselves and in public.

Second thing. You and you Mom need to find real musicians. I don’t like how you are using the amateurs, like moi, or children or the “Little-Crow’s” mother to accompany and sing. There are lots of talent out there that’s more “choral-ready”. Why use my local parish to upset the parishioners? Look how Sister Sara won’t stop singing screaming over the microphone! People address complaining that they can’t pray or meditate after receiving communion. So, these fools are getting their heads too far up their asses! I don’t care if you are young or old, saint or sinners! Shut the f^ck up and leave it up to the professionals. Bunch of wanna-bes, like moi. Bahaha.

Third thing. Stop going after the volunteers! You can’t retain them if they have bad attitudes, like me. You need to give them lots of space, like free-range chickens. Once you entrap them in the chicken coop, they’ll be miserable and won’t perform well. Just say “oh, okay” and hope for the best. I know you are good leaders and teachers and have lots of offer to/share with your brood. But we have our own ideas that are MORE strict and professional. If you just get away with doing stupid things, everyone else who look up to you will get away and do stupid things.

    Thanks,

    Flynn…

At 0735, the divorced psycho nutter was standing inside the northern corner of her garage while watering her three trees (one tall avocado tree in between two rose trees) near our shared chain link fence. She was wearing a tight/light blue/long sleeve top and white pants/jeans. From my left/driver side mirror, I could see the damn crazy looking into our direction as we exited northbound on MY long stretch of road. I mouthed the “eff-word”. She can die.

Earlier and maybe another morning around this same time, noticed a bearded/short-hair black guy with dark black/grayish clothes and black bag-pack, walking eastbound on MY drive as we pulled out of our driveway.

For over one hour non-stop, has played piano of classic Mexican music. But now had cramp on the lower/front part of my leg. Stretching right ankle/sitting on that piece of muscle, which got tired of pressing the rightmost foot pedal. So eating ripe banana to get potassium level up.

Old choir member: “I’m just there to sing.”

Umm, not! Maybe it’s just me and my big-brained ego, who has been outputting too much care and energy into this volunteer gig of singing. I better just “step-back” a bit, reflect if this dedication is worth more than a “real job”, and stop trying too hard. It’s best to leave such things to professionals. Perhaps, I should go back to school and figure out what to do with my life. But I don’t feel good right now – too much head/ear/sinus pressure.

    To my dear readers:

Y’all must forgive Evil Kitty. She is stressing out again! Being un/deremployed, under-appreciated, and un-loved is taking a toll on her “niceness”. She wants to be free of the computer/internet so her insistent rants online will cease/desists once and for all. She wants to purr for everyone so that they are “happy”. But Evil Kitty is sad to see that such affection has been NOT been taken in kind reciprocation.

1250, has sadness again. Wise cracker: “Who got two bags of celery? You know we don’t eat that much celery!” My daily bread from mother-units alike… Just kill me now… 🙁
