With this veil between both worlds,
your tears of sparkling diamonds separate us.
When will you see that all that is gold will not always shine?
But that your everlasting love for me will forever be in my heart.
How is it you turned an eyeglass holder into a golden necklace?
Truly, it is brighter than gold itself!
It is your creative spirit that makes your beautiful.
Mother, you are my inspiration.
For in this poem I shall — one day —
photograph you wearing this precious bling
and upload this sentimental value into my weblog.
What is more valuable than life itself?
My priceless love which no one could see but love itself.

Author’s note: Since I’m too lazy to take up the challenge of taking my own photographs and slowing down the blogging process, I will create poems based on the interpretations of each photo! That’s right! Some poets on WordPress.com write poetry in this manner. One such poet has a very deep and dark theme of society’s ills. Mine will be a mixture of both positive and negative. While his poetry is aligned in the center for his free verse of VERY few words per line, mine will be aligned to the left to accommodate my “prose-like” poetry. It’s still “sounds” like I’m talking aloud while blogging in verse. Enjoy.
