Today has been filled with lots of good weather: blue skies; warm temperatures and our complimentary trail clouds overhead. I awoke at 09:30AM; entered a blog elsewhere and wasn’t ready to do anything else.
Maw made lots of angry conversation earlier this morning downstairs. I didn’t realize Paw almost caused another near accident coming from the post office. At least Maw was there to scream at him so both won’t get hurt.
Paw seems to become more feeble minded. And Maw has been and always has pulled the most weight in decision making around the house. Now my assistance to pull almost all three weights around is beginning.
As designated driver to these two and whenever possible, my task today is to drive so we could walk along the shore line. At the last minute, we decided to buy our three sandwiches of egg salad and two smoked turkey to eat as lunch later on.
At 10:30AM and prior to getting onto northbound Highway 101, a large trail cloud was already being laid closer inland, from north to south and over the Westside hills of the Bay Area. The wind did not blow the whole morning. This major trail and many smaller ones stuck in the skies.
About 11:00AM, I missed the exit and made my way back to the familiar one. I missed Brats cell phone call at 11:10AM. We parked closest to the restaurant as usual and got out to enjoy the day.
Immediately, I took my camera out and started taking pictures of the whole mess in the skies. For whatever reason, certain spots were being marked with cross patterns. We were directly underneath some trails.
By 11:30AM, I’ve taken a few pictures of geese with their clutches. These babies still had their gray colored down. Families of geese were eating the grasses of this park. Some were drinking water near an orange colored, construction cone.
While leaving Maw to rest wherever she chose, Paw and I continued to walk around the paved place and I was beginning to feel the heat from my gray colored pullover with the ‘W#b#x Finance Team’ logo embroidered on the left front.
I took more pictures of these cross patterned clouds in the skies; the patrol light plane above; the lake with people sailing and paddling; and some wild flowers. I did not get a chance to take pictures of squirrels and took a dark snapshot of a bird sitting underneath the shade of this one tree.
There were cyclist ‘watching’ and wearing either yellow jerseys and dark shorts and shirts. There were old and young people walking and running. One guy was wearing no shirt as he casually strolled around where adults and children were sitting down to have their meals.
We wanted to look for Maw and made our way back toward the main area where people were playing Frisbee; having birthday parties and bicycling or rollerblading. From our counterclockwise walk of almost thirty minutes, we emerged from in front the bathroom area.
I noticed two people we intercepted earlier under the back part of the shaded trail of tress: one dark haired guy and possibly his dark haired son. I felt both his son’s stare earlier and the dad’s stare through my dark shades and beige colored cap later. I was walking to the left of Paw in both instances.
As we neared their position, the dad immediately got up from his corner position of a patch of grass, which is near the main launch pad of paddleboats and sailboats. He then stood directly behind his bicycle. I laughed to my frustrated self and mentally thanked the guy for this sweet humor.
Later, we found Maw sitting on one of the benches overlooking the lake. Unfortunately, there was no shade of trees and her red and pink umbrella of flowers did not offer the cooling effects I needed from underneath my pull over.
I did not want to step on the food and green colored poop of these geese. But that was the only way we could pick up Maw and rest a few minutes before I complained of being hungry and feeling overheated from sitting at this bench. I have yet to wash my white rubber shoes.
So we sat in the Mazda and ate our sandwiches until we decided that it was time to go home. I asked Paw for a ‘booger rag’ and began to pick my nose and found that my left nostril had the most. I did not care if golfers to my right or drivers to my left saw me picking my boogers.
We drove home but got on south 85 in error. I made my way back to east 237 to exit onto southbound 101. I kept looking at the sky and realized that some work needed to be done. I didn’t initially request for anything to happen.
I kept taking pictures above and found more trail clouds with two more noticeable ones above me were being laid. I could only mumble to myself and shouted at the noisy cars passing by while cleaning my Mustang. I’m a frustrated girl, I suppose.
I screamed ‘I’m a slave!’ while cleaning the Benz and prior to their arrival from an errand of picking up medication and looking for white slippers. This is the price of living rent free with free home cooking by Maw.
With the help of Maw wiping down the cars and of Paw vacuuming the interiors, we managed to clean all three cars from 01:00PM to 03:00PM. Maw and I took our showers as Paw finished up his activities. Laundry is being done as I blog.
My energy level was surprisingly strong today and I did not feel drained. Recently I’ve experienced little pain of doing normal activities like: stooping forward, bending knees, lifting arms and wiping well. My walking activities have increased as a result.
Today, however, should not have encouraged those damn trail mixers to increase their efforts. I am dismayed that some continue to play this game of making trail clouds to pollute our beautiful blue skies. We all should instead be walking together in peace and harmony.
