  • 20060722-Guitar Gods

Rock on! Guitar gods wherever you roam.
I want your autographs. Please take me home!

Burn my heart with your electronic toys.
All hail guitar gods with metallic chrome.

Make my ears bleed from your wondrous, loud noise.
Bravo guitar gods with amplified ohm.

Feed my dark soul with your heavenly joys.
Behold guitar gods from the thunder dome.

Kick start Flynn’s system from those lightning boys.
Woo! Hoo! Guitar gods dripping with sea foam.

Second attempt at combining ghazal and dark (from a groupie)…

Author’s note: Do not attempt to play electronic guitars while in water. Combined images of sweat dripping from long-haired guys and Venus, the goddess of love, rising from the sea to symbolize the resurrection of my head banging days.

    Blue Squirrel Smiling

Another poem to my younger and only brother…

My brother drew a smiling squirrel to me.

He was born a Gemini and in May.

His photos showed smiling faces each day.

He had tufted up hair and a precious glee.

His active state allows him to run free.

His passion is cycling the days away.

He made his models and are on display.

His ancient soul is creative to see.

He learned to play piano and guitar.

His handsome features attract many kinds.

He is nice but messy like his Pig sign.

His height is much taller than me by far.

He keeps busy with whatever he finds.

He will be loved always as one of mine.

Another attempt at sonnet (in pentameter)…

    Back Scratcher
My photo of my wooden backscratcher, which was given to me by ‘Paw’ as a gift originally by one of his friends.

Whenever my back starts to itch,
the dryness prompts my skin to twitch.
When finger nails don’t work, I mused
a wooden back scratcher is used.

Cross shaped colors of pink and red
are etched on my back while in bed.
Where creamy lotion does not soothe
a wooden back scratcher is used.

An itchy back means sprouting wings
    whenever His helping hand brings.
How each other’s back is not smooth
a wooden back scratcher is used.

Whenever my back starts to itch,
a wooden back scratcher is used.

  • 20060620-Sun Blinds

Today, the sunshine came forth through the closed blinds of my bedroom window and onto my face. I tried drifting off to sleep but I had unfinished blogs to compose. The sunshine was upon my miniature version of a museum artpiece, which is an rounded-shaped, black cat colored and formed from bronze and was given by ‘Squirrel-Ling’ on my birthday. Anyway, the sun rises more eastward and to the left of this tall palm tree one block ahead during the warmer seasons. I left the blinds closed because today would be another hot one.

Yesterday morning, I actually saw the sun rise above the hills of Mt. Hamilton, CA at 06:16:30AM. There I was standing at my bedroom window through the partially opened blinds. The sun came up slowly and I could barely see the outline of the globe. Of course, I had to turn my eyes away to avoid going blind but the brightness was not at all hurtful from behind these modern windows. The sight was amazing and all I could think of was the creation of such beauty with its golden glow. I normally don’t have time to do this sun gazing.

The skies have been clear and blue the past week and I have not noticed any cloud formations above whatsoever. There are some brownish colors in the horizon on some days. And the air is crispy clean and easier to breathe. The warmer days allows me to open my car windows during my drives homebound and I find that sometimes the air conditioner cools better when the air gets stuffy. Some people are enjoying the outdoors by jogging, biking and walking their damn dogs. Once again, I am a cat person and people should try walking their fluffy ones outdoors more often.

Last night, we discovered from ‘Squirrel-Ling’ that he felt he was being thrown out of our house, which is a bunch of hot air because he should be old enough to get out and live on his own. Technically, this is partially true but his presence back home is always welcomed if he ever bothers to visit. His unwillingness to open his door that one time I delivered his property and no matter how tired he may be from having fun outdoors are unexcuseable. It makes no sense for us family to make appointments to visit his house especially when we live so close to each other. Family is supposed to be there no matter how annoying or uninvitied.

I believe that the sun is a natural alarm clock and is there to wake us up from our slumber, which allows us to rest our body and mind. Opening the blinds or windows and looking at a sunrise once in awhile, if not everyday, are good ways to greet the morning. This also means to have an open door policy and step outside the house box to greet anyone, like the example of ‘Squirrel-Ling’ and me. The time it takes to do these simple tasks is easy. One would be blind not to appreciate this daily event because its always a glorious sight to behold. Besides, working indoors all day does no justice for people, like me, who could use a nice long vacation and soon.

  • 20060602-Pea Pods

Today, the battle between the trail clouds, which were laid by the same pod people who have freeloaded off my back over the past few years, and the wispy clouds, which are forever majestic and eternally helpful, has been seen over my work and at my home.

The desktop SP, which I purchased from Canada, was healing the whole day during my eight hour work shift and encouraged some wispy clouds to appear nearby. After passing my ‘Test Only’ certification to run my vehicle in the state of California and chatting with the guy with two boys, I purchased a longer lasting battery to replace the same one and an early Father’s Day card.

My lunch hour was blessed with fluffy clouds behind Mt. Hamilton, CA. They disappeared after work hours. My disappointment to take these fluffy ones was replaced with happy moments of photographing some wispy clouds over our house. I uploaded only two photos into my Yahoo! 360 account.

After reading an article yesterday night, I had my PW on hand and did my part of the hard work to bring love, light and laughter to the world and beyond. Around 11:30PM, a copter flew over in the distance after I laid down my healing device to point randomly in a westward direction. At 08:45PM and around midnight again, another copter flew around in the distance.

I do not completely understand the recent activity in our airspace recently. I assume the noise makers are doing their battle with the speeding cars down my road and between the SJPD and USAF and all are together like peas in a pod to make our city secure like a bird cage.

Caged birds are not really free by the way. But they are well fed and looked after pretty good for the rest of their lives. Our parakeets are spoiled but allowed to fly freely inside the house but not too far because they don’t know how to navigate back to their home base.

Like our parakeets, I feel like a caged bird. The windows and doors of the first floor have these black iron grills with pretty scroll works. They look like a bird cage and I feel confined yet safe at night. No one bothers our place too much and the neighborhood is quiet enough.

So the flying objects that patrol our airspace; the floating clouds that clear our blue skies; and the parakeets that bring us happiness and joy are similar. These examples seem protect us in various ways, such as from invaders; polluters and loneliness, respectively.

We are in some way birds of feather that may fight together. Fighting with my SP buzzing inside my car; with my PW tingling in my hand; and with my CB connecting into Mother Earth are examples of healing our fragile planet. This is hard work and continues to affect everyone.

  • 20060529-Trail Walk

Today has been filled with lots of good weather: blue skies; warm temperatures and our complimentary trail clouds overhead. I awoke at 09:30AM; entered a blog elsewhere and wasn’t ready to do anything else.

Maw made lots of angry conversation earlier this morning downstairs. I didn’t realize Paw almost caused another near accident coming from the post office. At least Maw was there to scream at him so both won’t get hurt.

Paw seems to become more feeble minded. And Maw has been and always has pulled the most weight in decision making around the house. Now my assistance to pull almost all three weights around is beginning.

As designated driver to these two and whenever possible, my task today is to drive so we could walk along the shore line. At the last minute, we decided to buy our three sandwiches of egg salad and two smoked turkey to eat as lunch later on.

At 10:30AM and prior to getting onto northbound Highway 101, a large trail cloud was already being laid closer inland, from north to south and over the Westside hills of the Bay Area. The wind did not blow the whole morning. This major trail and many smaller ones stuck in the skies.

About 11:00AM, I missed the exit and made my way back to the familiar one. I missed Brats cell phone call at 11:10AM. We parked closest to the restaurant as usual and got out to enjoy the day.

Immediately, I took my camera out and started taking pictures of the whole mess in the skies. For whatever reason, certain spots were being marked with cross patterns. We were directly underneath some trails.

By 11:30AM, I’ve taken a few pictures of geese with their clutches. These babies still had their gray colored down. Families of geese were eating the grasses of this park. Some were drinking water near an orange colored, construction cone.

While leaving Maw to rest wherever she chose, Paw and I continued to walk around the paved place and I was beginning to feel the heat from my gray colored pullover with the ‘W#b#x Finance Team’ logo embroidered on the left front.

I took more pictures of these cross patterned clouds in the skies; the patrol light plane above; the lake with people sailing and paddling; and some wild flowers. I did not get a chance to take pictures of squirrels and took a dark snapshot of a bird sitting underneath the shade of this one tree.

There were cyclist ‘watching’ and wearing either yellow jerseys and dark shorts and shirts. There were old and young people walking and running. One guy was wearing no shirt as he casually strolled around where adults and children were sitting down to have their meals.

We wanted to look for Maw and made our way back toward the main area where people were playing Frisbee; having birthday parties and bicycling or rollerblading. From our counterclockwise walk of almost thirty minutes, we emerged from in front the bathroom area.

I noticed two people we intercepted earlier under the back part of the shaded trail of tress: one dark haired guy and possibly his dark haired son. I felt both his son’s stare earlier and the dad’s stare through my dark shades and beige colored cap later. I was walking to the left of Paw in both instances.

As we neared their position, the dad immediately got up from his corner position of a patch of grass, which is near the main launch pad of paddleboats and sailboats. He then stood directly behind his bicycle. I laughed to my frustrated self and mentally thanked the guy for this sweet humor.

Later, we found Maw sitting on one of the benches overlooking the lake. Unfortunately, there was no shade of trees and her red and pink umbrella of flowers did not offer the cooling effects I needed from underneath my pull over.

I did not want to step on the food and green colored poop of these geese. But that was the only way we could pick up Maw and rest a few minutes before I complained of being hungry and feeling overheated from sitting at this bench. I have yet to wash my white rubber shoes.

So we sat in the Mazda and ate our sandwiches until we decided that it was time to go home. I asked Paw for a ‘booger rag’ and began to pick my nose and found that my left nostril had the most. I did not care if golfers to my right or drivers to my left saw me picking my boogers.

We drove home but got on south 85 in error. I made my way back to east 237 to exit onto southbound 101. I kept looking at the sky and realized that some work needed to be done. I didn’t initially request for anything to happen.

I kept taking pictures above and found more trail clouds with two more noticeable ones above me were being laid. I could only mumble to myself and shouted at the noisy cars passing by while cleaning my Mustang. I’m a frustrated girl, I suppose.

I screamed ‘I’m a slave!’ while cleaning the Benz and prior to their arrival from an errand of picking up medication and looking for white slippers. This is the price of living rent free with free home cooking by Maw.

With the help of Maw wiping down the cars and of Paw vacuuming the interiors, we managed to clean all three cars from 01:00PM to 03:00PM. Maw and I took our showers as Paw finished up his activities. Laundry is being done as I blog.

My energy level was surprisingly strong today and I did not feel drained. Recently I’ve experienced little pain of doing normal activities like: stooping forward, bending knees, lifting arms and wiping well. My walking activities have increased as a result.

Today, however, should not have encouraged those damn trail mixers to increase their efforts. I am dismayed that some continue to play this game of making trail clouds to pollute our beautiful blue skies. We all should instead be walking together in peace and harmony.

  • 20060518-Cloud Busters

My photo taken of a ‘blue hole effect’ located above our house and after planting the CB created by J---/Sensei into the SW corner of our backyard.
Image source: IMG_1383 taken on 5/18/2006 7:10:44 PM via Canon PowerShot A610 camera.

The whole day was nothing but lots of talking and encouragement with prompted my clapping of hands whenever everyone else did. I think I could stay at this company a bit longer because I assume they need me to continue their efforts with reaching a goal. We received our usual ration of free meals; two buttons and gray colored sweat shirt with high neck.

I had my eyes half closed in mediation in the dimly lit meeting room of the old building. Sometimes I actually caught myself with eyes completely closed. I do not understand my lack of interest due to wanting to leave the place and my position of three and one half years (including the time being a temporary worker).

At 04:45PM, I left the building in a hurry and wanted to go home so I could sleep. Upon arrival at 05:00PM, I received my three boxes. Two were from a company selling allergy products. The other box contained my very first and heavy CB created by J—/Sensei.

I opened the two less important ones and in thirty minutes I had the third opened. I hurriedly read the two-paged instructions personally hand written by a “Josh”, who had the cleanest hand writing befit of graphic artists. I wonder if I should call the lad.

But at 05:40PM, I was already out the door and on my way to the nearest hardware store. There was a large orange cart conveniently located near my parking space. There were hardly any people inside the building.

I knew I had to go to the plumbing section but couldn’t find my six piece item at the first glance. At least there was one guy with the orange apron who directed me further back to the next aisle numbered thirty-three (33). I slowly made my way to the aisle and wondered what I should do next.

One white ‘watcher,’ who was wearing a devil’s beard and dark cobalt blue long sleeve shirt, was shopping at my aisle. I hummed a tune so he could hear while I made sure I got the one inch piece with the help of another worker nearby. I noticed another but taller white ‘watcher’ with the biggest girth.

This store was indeed well stocked. They had five pieces already bundled. All I had to do was get the sixth one to assemble my CB. These items were not heavy and were at least five feet in length as instructed. So I casually carted the object to the self-service checkout where the lady helped scanned my items.

I stuffed the pieces in my trunk but had to pull the child seat down to make room. The clear blue sky that was all around coming home from the company meeting slowly had these straight fluffy white clouds as I drove home from the hardware store. The cool breeze was pleasant as I had my car windows rolled down.

Soon, I found myself inside the house and out to the backyard with my six pieces. The palms of my hands had the tinge of green color from holding my purchase. That didn’t bother me and quickly dressed in my ‘gardening’ clothes.

My mother made all sorts of controversial statements about my clearing activities. But I tried to ignore her and immediately shoveled a nice hole into the ground at the southwest corner of the backyard.

This did nothing to phase my enthusiasm as I looked up into the skies and saw the clouds form from southwest to northwest. Pictures were taken of these sudden cloud appearances around 06:30PM and prior to placing my CB into the soil.

Five of the pieces went in place nicely. But I had to use the head of the pliers to work a sixth hole into a descent circle because it was damaged during shipment. I looked up into the skies and saw popcorns shapes. I took more pictures when I completed my task around 07:00PM.

My hope is to invite love and light and provide the necessary balance of nature and beyond. There is no harm intended. And only my pictures could provide reasonable belief in my efforts to clear my environment.

There could be only faith in knowing I did as much as I could without feeling nervous, guilty or scared. Gifting is part the whole picture and well worth the effort. Today, I planted my first CB into Mother Earth.

  • 20060505-Amusing Walk

The day was slow at work and I decided to ‘step out’ for a late lunch today from 01:00PM to 02:00PM. The sun was showing brightly with clear blue skies. Thank goodness the cool breeze blew to make my short walk alone more pleasant.

I took lots of pictures of flowers today. First I went towards the four-story parking garage to take my first few shots of flowering bushes and trees in white and pink colors and through the side to take shots of small flowering ground coverings in purple and yellow colors.

A South Asian Indian, who drove in a dark blue car, asked me for direction that I did not have an answer. He made a U-turn and drove away and I thought to myself, ‘Idiot’. Then I went in a same southward direction that the lost guy went.

While taking pictures, I was intercepted by and met a new co-worker named ‘Sundried Ra,’ who worked in the IT department. He claimed he is an Asian from India and goes to the temple weekly. He had a white dot on his third eye chakra.

He was headed to a trail for walking and I asked if I could join him. And why should I not impose my time? My life has been basically boring and this was a great opportunity to get outdoors and away from work, which is where I spend most of my breaks and lunch hours.

The conversations started off with the location of the trail; who we were and what department and people we work with at the company. And on our way back, we talked about weekend chores and watching television or movies.

I huffed and I puffed as my fake black leather pumps provided what little comfort in walking on sidewalks made of cement. I got tired about fifteen minutes into the walk right before the eastern entrance of two to the trail along the San Tomas Aquino creek.

There were mostly tall grasses and a few California poppies of brightly orange colors growing along the trail. Below the ditch to my left and behind a wire fence of the employee parking to the amusement park were purple flowers of icy plants. I took pictures of both kinds of flowers upstream.

I took a few more pictures of flowers downstream as I started to feel the heat of the sun on my face. There were bronze colored murals on the cement walls; one duck swimming and workers spraying recycled water onto the soil. The water smelled treated but bearable to the nose.

My very first full time job was at this same amusement park right after high school and I was eighteen years old at that time. I remember working there with my ‘Revolution’ outfit of white shirt; vertical, pin striped and rainbow colored long skirt and white shoes. I should not have returned my name tag.

My job was stocking inventory; cleaning the store and working the cash register. I sold teddy bears; candies; clothes and souvenirs of the place. My time there was boring because we sold little and I wasn’t talkative.

There was this one lady who got up from a park bench and asked if I did sign language. I didn’t realize that my fingers were fidgety because I was burning under the heat of the sun. I wasn’t smart enough to have taken shelter underneath a nearby tree.

I would encounter strangers as my customers. While holding a teddy bear indoors, one guy called me ‘Maria’ maybe because I had a frizzy perm and long hair at the time. Some friends of ‘Brain Events’, who did martial arts, came in one day to talk to me about security cameras.

I remember not being happy about working then. I was grumpy a few days afterwards I had my wisdom teeth pulled out; disgruntled for dusting the grills on a door (which I didn’t do) and angry for sorting inventory (which I threw down onto the floor for two others to pick up after me).

The faces of my co-workers are etched into my brain to this day but not all of their names. Most of us were girls and we worked together fine. Our supervisors were a shorter and meaner brunette who attended Berkeley; a taller red head; a shorter blond and a shorter Filipino with long hair.

‘Percival,’ or ‘Percy’ was a guy who came from Romania and was raised by nuns. He was let go after he grabbed and held my still recovering face in his hands. While still in his grasp, I looked to my right where two other people saw the incident. One was our supervisor.

Another guy was into Satanism and showed me his Black ‘Babel’ during an outdoor lunch and on a sunny day. I actually read the first page and recall (a bit hazily now) that it had words similar to the ‘Lord’s Prayer’. My being impressionable back then made me believe the passage was positive. His girlfriend had the thickest calves that looked swollen.

I did enjoy eating the chocolate cookies from the cafeteria and being photographed for whatever reason to be profiled or used as an advertising gimmick of the amusement park. The pay seemed great for starters like me.

After some twenty years later, my pay is better and my job is secure. I seem to be happier at this company for providing occasional free meals; understanding (but crazed) co-workers and a fast computer with T3 internet connection.

Today, I reflected on how my path came full circle from my first job a few blocks away to this last job at a high rise building. Or has my true profession yet to become clearer and truer in the years ahead?

I know that my experience today with a stranger is a good sign. The various flowers of different colors were also good signs for me to expect more outdoor adventures with nature. Photography is a good hobby for my early retirement.

  • 20060406-Blades Hovering

A white trail cloud appeared above the hill last night.
A white copter hovered above a house so bright.
Two black SUV’s parked by hydrant of yellow.
At eleven-forty, my road was quite mellow.

My pictures at night were too unclear and too dark.
The globs of blinking lights were more like question marks.
I waved my hand at the copter which flashed at me.
Within just five minutes, there were no SUV’s.

The watchers were fascinating and not scary.
Conspiracy did not make me any wary.
The visit annoyed as I worked on my website.
At eleven-twenty, my wand was a delight.

I wondered late last night: What was the commotion?
It hovered under the first moon in slow motion.
I shivered as I held the camera steady.
They could flush me outside because I’m ready.

There was a brown beach of light colored sand.
The sky all around had the tint of lightly colored tan.

The sea separated the island from a mainland to my right.
The dark blue colors of water was calm colored as night.

Young and old people were playing in water and on land.
I was a small child and my skin color was a very dark tan.

There were wooden stilts that held up these structures of wood.
I sat on the second story while contemplating this place of good.
