  • Wearing wrist brace…

After working hard in the yard with the twosome for the past two weeks, my left wrist has been bothering me severely. I did not think much of the pain for the first week but when Maw has been wearing her left wrist brace, I took a hint and finally could not take the sensation of a buzzing, out of place feeling.

The single, bony pain where the “ring” finger is located hurled so much that I had to keep squeezing the join into place with a decided “pop” back into place. I find that holding my hands clasped in front of my solar plexus is a comfortable position during standing at mass, for example.

Besides my teeth guard to prevent me from grinding my teeth further into pegs, my nightly regime now includes the left wrist brqce. I no longer have the dull, limp and out of place feeling throughout the day.

“Why not go see the doctor? Sure, I have been waiting for over a decade to get it repaired. But since GOTB and pals failed to help, I am stuck with cursing them everyday.

  • Still “spring” cleaning…

Well, it’s 6:00pm and I’ve finished cleaning my asylum, err, I meant, the computer room upstairs. It used to be the boy’s bedroom. For whatever reason, I needed the bed to be against the wall. So I thought and thought since last night and this morning measured the bed, which came out to be 80 some inches by 63 inches wide. Then I looked at the wall with the phone jack and calculated in my mind the distance it would take to stretch the cords from the computer workstation to an electrical outlet that won’t conflict with the main switch for turning on and off the light.

Voila! By pacing myself, I managed to vacuum off each section, starting with the cramped areas and ending with the more spacious area behind me. So instead of facing “west” and looking outside the window offering a scene of the blue westward hills, tall trees from the back yard, the birds and the warmth and brightness of the sunlight.

The bed is to my right so from time to time I could rest and read my .pdf files from my cellphone, which is much better than a reader and much lighter to hold in my hands. The bedside table is to my left and holds the new telephone and my rechargable batteries and recharging units. The larger furnitures (dresser with mirror and amoire) are behind me against the “north” wall.

By the looks of this place, it’s really more Feng Shui compliant. The bed itself no longer is reflected in the HEAVY, double glass mirrors of the closet. Access to the three widows and the light switch for the flood light of the backyard is much easier. Now I could open the blinds and windows much easier without tripping over the wires (phone, data center, ethernet and battery backup).

I’m glad to have “donated” items that are no longer used or needed. I plan on cleaning out the house some more, but since most of the “junk” located inside the house really belongs to the homeowner(s), I do NOT have free will to get of these “treasures”. I have more plastic bins and drawers to get rid of, if only I could let go of the contents!

  • 20110510-Divorced Nutter

At around 12:15pm, I flushed out the divorced nutter again. She was seen walking away from looking inside our garage to sweeping up the front yard. Her one-eyed, illegal ALIEN/second husband was seen “working” in the yard with her. I sensed that he was keeping an eye on his “gold mine” — a free house! As Paw and I backed up, I saw the nutter leave the husband to walk back to her garage so that I could see her in my side view mirror. Of course, I had on those thick sunglasses worn by patients with post-op eye surgery. It made me look like one of those characters from a televised show: “V”.

At around 12:50pm, we arrived at the Goodwill donation center off HWY 880. Another spook, an older ASIAN, driving a long-bed, black-colored pick up truck donated his items too. My items were: Dell monitor with radiation shield, Dell keyboard, two mouse, Dell Inspiron 2500 laptop with software and various office supplies and electonics, such as Franklin Bookman electronic, crossword lookup, two calculators, stapler with tape, old telephone with cords, Sharper Image Ionic Breeze with manuals, and Sharper Image digital picture frame.

At 1:15pm, Paw and I arrived home and Maw is doing her Duoneb treatment. We are waiting for the friggin’ doctor’s phone call after his emergency call. He is Chinese, by the way. So you know what that means.

  • .pdf sickness…

Yee! My new 4G cellphone has made me happy! After one friggin’ hour of trying to figure out how to use the HTC Sync, I gave up because it was looking for a “vcredist.msi”, an error message or really an annoying bug. But after using my “other brain”, the one that most people don’t know exist, I copied five “books” from my PC into the “bookmark thumbnail” folder. Voila! Now I could read my pdf files from beginning to end with such clarity that I could cry!

After donating my $300 Sony Reader along with its charger, software, manuals and wires from 2006 to the Goodwill store yesterday, tonight I will try to finish the first of five books. I’m at Session 9 dated 01/27/1981 (or page 113 of 233) So far, I believe nothing from this “book”! It’s too far-fetched and long-winded at best. I could tell the information doesn’t jive because of the particularities with the language usage.

Yee! Okay. I’m going to poop and then lie down to figure out what I could learned from this reading material. After browsing the WM feed site, I decided to read whatever the poster(s) linked that same day. After gardening the past few days and waiting for my “gift from heaven”, I finally can “pick up a book” and read without eye strain or tingling in my hands!

  • 20110507-Weathery Ways

Today is much cooler, just like yesterday. I guess TPTB and pals take 24-48 hours to respond in kind that the past few days were friggin HOT! Today, some sylphs and few puff clouds showed up.

Yesterday may have been cooler for Paw to continue the gardening work of adding more topsoil and planting vegetables. But the skies were crispy and clear that day.

The winds blow MUCH cooler today. Thank you. That will be a relief when we pray the friggin’ rosary during a procession around the parish grounds this evening. Maw and I had worked three hours non-stop this morning to cook the BIG tray of noodles for after the procession. Paw helped after everything was done.

  • 20110505-Weathery Ways

Since Beltain Day (5/01/11), the weather has been friggin’ hot! WTF?! But it was warm enough to let the three of us sweat. Sweating helps to “detoxify” and thus lose weight by dehydration. Of course, we drink our apple juice, orange juice and water to keep the brain going. Our body doesn’t ache. Even my feet and joints are feeling fine. It could be the vitamin supplements and prayers, too.

So Maw and Paw are finishing up the vegetables in the back yard. The cement work gets in the way and most of it is GINGER rocks! My god! That just heats up the place too much. Without the CROWDED fruit trees and the elderly eucalyptus trees, the backyard would surely be sweltering hot! One day, I hope to remove the cement work ENTIRELY and TREES, too. Then I’ll hire a landscape artist to make it descent for “re-selling” in the most distant future, if any left.

I’ve taken my second shower for the day and loaded up my clothes for the second time, too. The sweat is something I really do NOT like! But sweating makes me cleaner as long as the washcloth is used to scrub down the sebum, skin and other surface dirt and grime. I hope they finish soon because I’m bored, not quite hungry but want them inside prior to sunset; so the “night critters” don’t get stepped on accidentally.

  • 20110505-More Spooks

After finishing breakfast past 9:30am this morning, I donned my mask, gardening gloves and got Paw’s spade shovel and proceeded to dig up the top layer of loose soil, which Maw watered down late last evening. For another one hour, I managed to get the other plot of soil ready for SEVEN cubic feet bags of topsoil. (Yesterday we used up 13 cubic feet bags of topsoil for our flower beds.) This smaller plot has been completed at around 1:00pm and has Maw’s vegetables of three eggplants and two pepper plants. The TALL, white-colored, lillies are behind and anchor the front yard VERY nicely from a FAR distance.

However, since David from “CDIF” came by AGAIN to set up his trap for to capture/count Japanese beetles. We were not able to finish up faster in two hours. So from around 11:30pm to 12:30pm, he “killed time” by talking to us about his personal life and how he wanted to look for a woman (Sugar Mama) to take care of him. He was holding a vibrant, purple-colored flower as a ground cover, which he picked from elsewhere, and showed us what he wanted on his yard but couldn’t figure out the name. He went on how he was a former Marine and cop; how is daughter is a police depatcher; how his son is a teacher and how he has three grandchildren (with the third on its way).

He is a bald, Mexicano and came from the violent neighborhood, which made headlines recently on tourists. He told of how he was raised by his mother initially until she sent him to live with his relatives in Santa Clara,CA; he played in a ditch of water, which was full of dead cats and dogs when he was six years old; the difficulty of getting his “Certificate of Citizenship” because they wouldn’t believe his mother is a US citizen; getting along with his cousins (who are in and out of jail) better than his own siblings, etc. Maw got tired of hearing the same story.

We learned that Mexicans living in Mexico don’t celebrate on Cindo de Mayo but on September 16. He will have his drinks today and later on. The areas off King, Story and Tully are popular areas for celebration. And I knew that already (not that I “really” know). He went on to mention other “segregated” areas and that is not uncommon, of course. But

  • 20110504-Divorced Nutter

At 6:00pm, the divorced nutter came home. She left the garage door opened. Then she started to carry a pail in her left hand and started glaring into our direction. The nutter again times her presence with out outdoor activity. Once again, nutters should be locked up from normal taxpayers or at least disposed of quietly into the night. Suddenly, a long-bed, dark-gray pick-up truck zoomed by to park in front of the nutters house. The driver was a blond-haired woman. The time was 6:15pm. Maw believes that is one of many renters living next door to us. If only the renters know they are living under the roof of a demonically possessed home owner, they should get out ASAP.

We were working on removing the new plants, mixing in topsoil we bought earlier and replanting the flowers out front. Maw and I started 4:00pm. Paw started 5:00pm. I decided to call it a day at 7:15pm. Each time we’d see her pretending to work in the front, Maw and I hid while Paw did the yard. The intervals took no more than a couple of minutes to clear the bad energy. Again, the divorced nutter checked her mailbox. I couldn’t see her pick-up the mail as I hid behind my car.

  • Can’t keep up…

After morning mass yesterday (5/03/11), the three of us invited Fred to join us for breakfast at Denny’s. But the place was closed due to renovation. We arrived early, waited for him and we all decided to eat at McDonald’s on the opposite corner of the four way intersection. We learned that he has children living in his house. His fat daughter likes the air condition on; but he prefers warm temperature. His children would drag him to watch movies, eat out and come home late. The old man can’t keep up with the strenuous daily activities and would rather stay in the comfort of his bedroom and watch television. He complained that he cannot handle taking care of the brats. The fat cow cried and had to look for babysitter. He couldn’t tell his children to get out and grow up. “It’s too late.” he said.

Then later on that same day, Uncle Ben came by to hand us copies of the May 2011 edition for daily mass via our inquiry with Carlos the day before but we had already gotten copies from Josie, who had lots ONE MONTH before distribution. Ben and “Minh” know how to garden and suggested getting topsoil, which we bought today (20 bags at THD). During the conversation, we learned that he does the gardening for FOUR of his children. Maw sensed that the in-laws might not like the old man messing with their gardens but cannot say anything to him. He may be the controlling type who insists on doing the yardwork and imposes his will on others, especially his family. “You cannot tell these kids how to behave because that will breed resentment into their hearts. It’s too late.” Ben said.

“Why can’t you go out and enjoy? You’ve got money!” Said the boy and girl to my elderly parents. (For those who have these ungrateful showp-offs listed as their so-called “friends” via Facebook, one should know how unkind, uncaring and heartless younger generations can be to the old timers. Intead of appreciating our nice flowers out front or doing their own yardwork, they would rather fight with each other and hire gardeners to do their SMALL plots.)

Compared to the ungrateful and SELFISH younger generations, the old timers are more connected to the earth. I see that the home values should be kept low for a bit longer to teach these haughty ASIANS and snots alike to reaccess their value systems —- the vices of going the beauty salon, going kayaking and throwing dangerous harpoons for the camera, and of showing face without the true connection of family.

Tip of the day: Stop staying indoors and do your own gardening. Get off the damn computers, stop being a gamer, a couch potatoe and spend your money GROWING living things! Stop taking advantage of the elderly! Youth today are so stupid and lazy!

  • 20110502-My Bad

I hate home life, really. Do you think having two wonderful elders is the best thing in the world? Yes. No. Yes, because there is much love, food, shelter and other amenities, such as parakeets and a garden. No, because there is the nagging. That’s right! One happens to nag; while the other doesn’t complain. One won’t stop doing too much; while the other would rest and contemplate. One wants constant acknowledgement and recognition. The other doesn’t care. I’m the latter. You can guess which bio-unit is the former.

My veins are popping out. It means the body has over worked and therefore over heated. It aches and thats rare. Why? Because the nagger won’t shut-up. It’s the last resort pill for those with severe asthma. Guess which pill that happens to be? And when someone has injested that “healing potion”, it powers them up tremendously and calmer people like me will end up doing more than necessary. You see, home life here is secure. And the consequences are freedom and more of it.

When it’s not your castle, creativity is limited to the homeowner(s). One cannot do whatever is desired — remove the old wooden and metallic fences, remove cracking and sliding cement work, replacing the roof, remove extra plants and containers, basically remove junk. Yup. Oh, joy!

  • 20110501-More Spooks

While the three of us were working on our front yard, lots of stupid spooks drove up and down my road. Are these people cops? Yup. Plus, it’s going to be Cinco De Mayo. And a lot of these drivers are Hispanic. I noticed the wheels of these SUV and/or pickup trucks were especially SHINY! Even one black long-bed truck hauled its speed boat “Stripper” and parked it across and opposite to the side of our house. I was not impressed but watered my 12 flowers where the old eucalyptus tree once stood.

To the SJPD: Ramp it up because the hoots got nothing better to do but drive by my neighborhood with their windows rolled down and such. Of course, my area is mostly ASIAN. So when I see these goons drive up and down my area, I flick them off subtly of course. Those who are detailed-oriented would see it and take offense easily. Too bad!

  • 20110501-Hard Working

Doing yardwork is really HARD WORK! This is more fun that being a cubicle slave. My forearms, top of my feet and lower legs got tanned! That’s right! I could get DARK like most Filipino. As of yet, I have that pasty, white CHINESE look to my face, which is slightly red, like a red-neck.

So my back has held out well while stooping down and standing up SEVERAL times. It especially was strong enough to sit long hours on a red stool “Stand up to be tall. Sit down to be short.” It has now cracked in the middle from my weight and BIG butt.

I believe the callinestic exercises of SUCKING in the guts every which way helped to strengthen the back muscles, too. My joints are surprisingly stronger and almost painfree, espeically my feet and ankel areas. I’ve been walking barefooted around the place since my slippers do no justice to proper alignment of my bones.

Plus, standing and sitting straighter helped aligned the spine and free up the caught nerves in the ligaments and muscles, too.

Although I’m painfree, Maw tried to help rake, shovel and pick up debris. But she keeps experiencing shortness of breath. You see, she has a hole in her heart and a stent in not worth the trouble. Her prescribed medicines keep her alive longer and she keeps praying to stay alive for her family.

As for Paw he is stong and NEVER complains or CUSSES frustrations, only until recently.

So the three of us worked in union and well together and try not to get into each other’s way. One person has a strength in one area of straightening the bricks, the other has another function to perform digging and filling an empty hole and the another is better left holding the umbrella for the both of us, getting our Snapple drinks, hats and buckets for throwing debris away upon request.
