  • Emulated theme JinJang

20250404-0136. Last night, I tried briefly theme JinJang. Twice, both my desktop and mobile scores were 100!
I really liked the concept of duality, hence YinYang or theme JinJang! You know, light and dark, DemonCraps and ReptiliCons, left and right, up and down, forward and backward, conservative and progressive, male and female (only), PURE EVIL and GOD-MODE, beautiful and butt-fugly and so on.

For the “Content”, I borrowed the VERY simple two-columns where the left column contains my Site Icon, Site Title, Site tagline and main Navigation menu block of all my Pages and where the right column contains one Query Loop block of the three most recent blog entries and a Paragraph block for the main posts page.

For the left column or Jin/Yin, I borrowed the presidential dark blue. For the right column of Jang/Yang, I borrowed the presidential color of stone [cold]. (Wrestling fans would know what character uses beer cans as props.) The balance is perfect and does NOT cause my eyeballs stress from mousing-clicking-all-over-the-place exhaustion!

So that’s it. I guess that’s the best I could do for the SEO and “site’s overall performance” based on the Cornerstone page, which is my FRONT-COVER page. I’m tired of re-designing and trying to perfect a simple blogging site that contains just a bunch of static pages and dynamic posts.

  • Emulated presidential site

20250404-0059. Behold, chumps! I have emulated a presidential site! Instead of my fruit-gayish and colorful version, I’m trying-out the dark-blue color schemes!

Initially I had the header in stone color and the footer had a YUGE (or HUGE image of bumblebees). I also re-used my OLD images, but now both my desktop and mobile scores decreased! Both scores increased slightly after I replaced my re-used OLD images with some gradient colors for the background.

In an effort to increase both my desktop and mobile scores, I created new background images of “paper texture” for the Bento Grid layout. I liked how the crinkling shadow effects give the rather drab site some “movement”.

I just refreshed my overall scores, which now shows level 76 for Mobile and level 97 for Desktop. I wanted to see level 100, but that would mean stripping everything down to just the menu of my top-level pages and three titles only for recent posts!

I may have to just give-up trying too hard and just keep everything simple; since I’m the only one really reading my rants. Once again, I just like designing or rather like seeing the different colors – almost like an advanced version of adult coloring books.

That’s all. End transmission 0108 PST.

  • Mobile Score increased 97

20240403-2108. After refreshing my Jetpack Boost, my Mobile Score is now 9 (or 89 without the paid upgrade)!

Earlier this afternoon, I edited ALL my pages by Ungrouping redundant “Groups” blocks and by removing Parent pages from my four OLD sites pages.

In my mind, I was thinking that my “site” would “speed-up” “faster” with less groups, hierarchies, layers or levels. Voila! I believe that is what is happening with my site being “slower” than I expected.

A couple of hours ago I refreshed my score and got 88. But this was only a few minutes after I edited my pages. Once again, I should just allow the system to “refresh” itself at its own pace.

And then after eating our late supper, which was a couple hours, that’s how my mobile score increased from 88 to 97. At one point, I saw 100! So I do NOT know if adding my YUGE (or HUGE) Cover image for my footer section decreased my score from 100 to 88 and then 97.

Here is a description: “Your Overall Score is a summary of your first Cornerstone Page across both mobile and desktop devices. It gives a general idea of your site’s overall performance.”

So my Cornerstone Page is nowhere. The only way that I could see my “Cornerstone Page” is by setting the Reading Setting from Latest posts to two Static Pages: one for Home page, which would be my FRONT-COVER, and the other for Posts Page, which would be my HOME page.

I guess I should try to reset my Reading Setting and then refresh the my mobile score.

    End of transmission 2120 PST.

  • Increased Overall Score A

20250402-1847. Hey! Now that’s what I’m talking about: my Jetpack Boost Mobile Score has increased to level “95” (or level “92” without the paid upgrade)! The Desktop Score has almost always remained a consistent level of “99” and is now “100” (or level “91” without Jetpack Boost)!

So I guess I should NOT be impatient and allow the system to regenerate whatever makes my site somewhat super-fast and very responsive. I’ve gotten to the point to accepting defeat: that I can’t go beyond what is already there – my blogs. No amount of “window-dressing” is gonna make me feel better.

I’m snacking currently on Italian sausage wrap whilst waiting for the latest software updates to be completed and whilst trying to archive as many files into my external drive before restarting my computer devices after the completed updates.

I’ve been feeling VERY cold today, though the sunshine was VERY bright. My elderly father got to do his regular outdoor exercises in the backyard and finished sweeping up whatever he could from probably yesterday’s last storm of the season.

I’ll force myself to apply the weed and feed sometime this month when the weather gets warmer. And for whatever reason, I experiences pain in my hips bones, especially the right back hip bone area. I had to lay down and warm myself underneath some acrylic blankets and that helped a little bit.

That’s all for now. I’m please with the results of my new Header and Footer images, which appear smaller but just barely enough for the one row header to function as a reading ruler guide in its Sticky Position. I applied some gradient color to include white or HEX color code FFFFFF and the stone colored color scheme set at either Linear zero degrees or 180 degress.

    End of transmission 1856 PST.

  • Sticky position won’t catch

202504020-1226. Welp, after processing a good deed and messaging back the victim, err, good soul, and whilst snacking on my beef roast wraps (which is like burritos only American style), I had another incoming thought of inspiration to tweaking my YUGE (or HUGE) Header image to mirror the smaller Header image originally set for only the Pages template and Single Posts template.

So I took the liberty to remove the Header block and Foot block and in their places put-back my customized Pattern instead because I noticed that the Sticky Position to the single row would NOT catch! From my desktop computer, I would have to slowly scroll and pause and then proceed in order for the Sticky Position row to catch and actually stick.

If I doom scroll too fast, then the Sticky Position fails! So I’m clicking around my website for further testing. And I assume that the system got VERY angry unto moi and decided to take a nap and be awaken from its farts and burps, meaning that I should give the VERY slow system to save my customizations and then I could proceed with my super-fast doom scrolling.

Sure enough, the Sticky Position works after all.

That’s all. End of transmission 1232 PST.

  • Tweaked fonts for Header and Footer images

20250402-0854. Behold, chumps! I did it again! After I queried LEO AI/Brave for the closest alternative to the original WH DJT 45-47 Style Guide fonts, I fixed finally how I wanted the Headers for both the Pages template and Single Posts template!

Initially, I had set the YUGE font size to 64xp and aligned to the bottom. But the extra curly tail of the letter “Y” hung too low and got “cut-off” from the already narrow margins. (Shut-up! I know what y’all are thinking!) So, I set the alignment to the top.

Then I had difficulty getting the three blocks to respond properly for the Mobile view. This took me a few minutes of studying WTF is wrong. But all I had to do is switch-off the “Stack on mobile” for the Columns settings! Voila!

So now when viewing either my static pages or my dynamic posts, the three-columns stay together in one row instead of “stacking” in three rows! This inspiration was “borrowed” from TVC web site.

This is by far cleaner and more appropriate for my humble blogs of mostly rants. At first, I couldn’t figure out how the main Navigation menu block to the left AND the Search block right of TVC web site opened in a separate page.

Lo and behold! I set both inside its own Navigation menu block. For the left Navigation block, I set the Overlay menu to “Always” “Collapse the navigation option in a menu icon opening an overlay”. For the right Navigation block, I set the Overlay menu to “Mobile”.

So when I click on either Navigation block, the “page” would open-up to a nicer dark blue background and light cream text. The left Navigation block contains all my Pages, or simply the Page List block.

That’s all for now. End of transmission 0909 PST. Edited 0917 PST.

  • Redone/Reworked Header and Footer image fonts

20250402-0046. Welp, like I said, the fonts to my Header and Footer images needed to be reworked. And I redone it within a few minutes and rather quickly, because I just narrowed down my font choices to “Western” and “serif” and picked the curliest font that are “straighter” or less bumpy but with more cursive than the previous font version meant for my previous theme Twenty Twenty-Five.

However, I-AM still NOT feeling the font is correct. My “feelz” just feels off and I’ll probably have to rework it again. The “feelz” looks like something taken off a book about fairy-tales land of far-off fantasy or something. I guess I’ll need to keep searching for the font that matches closely the WH DJT 45-47 Style Guide.

But my paid upgrade with one of two designing tools just did NOT have my preferred font styles. So I’m guessing along the way and trying to match whatever fonts are available.

That’s all for now. End of transmission 0052 PST. Edited 0054 PST.

  • Matched presidential colors for Header and Footer images

20250402-0013. Welp, I had NO choice and edited the brighter red, drab gray and basic black for my previous theme Twenty Twenty-Five with brightest whitest background color to the more presidential colors of dark maroon and dark blue for my current theme Blank Canvas with creamy eye-calming beige sand stone background color!

However, the current “Westernized” fonts still needs to be redone/reworked to a more professional-looking/business-like fonts with serifs. I like curly fonts with serfis.

Anyways, I guess that I’m really stuck with this theme Blank Canvas, because it handles my preferred font sizes and color combination schemes much better than the rest and just the way I want it!

I guess that I’ll keep my bold dark blue Title blocks instead of the off-centered to the left, Sticky Position of the Title blocks to both my Pages template and Single Posts template.

As I become more “convinced” (y’all know – like those g-damned scam “confidence game” that MUST be abolished and punishable for eternity) that I’ve done all I could to beautify my normal blog of perdition, err, mundane and secular endeavors, then I’ll really start ranting about blast from the pasts and more details as a TI all my life.

That’s all for now. End transmission 0023 PST.

  • Saved new Site Title and Site Tagline

20250401-2323. Behold, chumps! I’m still “feeling” how I’d like to rename both my Site Title and Site Tagline and came up with “The REAL Flynn’s Paws” and “Flynn’s Blogs featuring KJV Audio Bible”.

I think these latest versions makes sense for the meantime. Because when I upgraded to the “Business plan”, I needed the “speed” and “plug-ins” to upload the thousands of individual bible verses for the randomized verse “generator” and HUGE audio files, too. This is just for my personal use whenever.

Also, I just did NOT know/feel how I wanted to squeeze in both the “paws” and “blogs” together either in the Title, Tagline or both! But I did notice that some websites and users have different “titles” to their usernames.

I could have bought my “blogs” domain again but I wasn’t feeling it. I just thought maybe the “paws” was a better word. Either way, both are supposed to be mine!

And because I saw two Twatter variations to FlynnsPaws, I got pissed-off! So I had to insert the words “The REAL” to make my point! I had to use the possessive version to differentiate the spelling, too!

I also played around with the idea of “Flynn & Paws” or “Flynn and Paws”, because one infamous blogger kept referencing incorrectly “FlynnPaws” in his blogs. I “know” why because this is probably for my “protection” and to cause or create a confusion on the web-blog-o-sphere – typical of spooky spooks. I “get” it. I’m sure it was NOT intention. But if it was, phooey on you and your spooky spook palz.

Anyways, that’s all. Hah! It’s 2357 PST and I forgot about posting this blog! Oops.

  • Single Posts template VERY angry

20250401-2346. Oh, hark! My single posts template has gotten VERY angry unto moi! I have no idea what had happen!

While using the toilet, I would normally bring my smartphone. And so I was viewing my newly designed weblog site.

Lo and behold! When I viewed my recent blog posts, something terrible has happened! The mobile view for the single posts is skewed and squished to the left-hand side of my phone! There is an empty/vetical space on the right-hand side of the my phone!

I tried to remove everything and then reset completely the single posts template to no success! The offending vertical white space of death has plagued my site and phone! Woe is unto moi! I-AM being punished!

Anyways, I think I better go back to theme Blank Canvas. The pink and blue hover-over links beckon unto moi! I shall test and find out if theme Blank Canvas is more stable as far as handling the display of my single-posts template.

Phooey! End of ranting 2350 PST.

  • Tweaked Title for Pages and Single Posts templates

20250401-2226. Behold, chumps! I’ve tweaked the Title block for the Pages template and Single Posts template! Me smart! I “borrowed” the inspiration from TVC site, which I used to follow but then “unfollowed” after he kept pushing out his “donations”. Then I noticed he took that out and just had a “donation” section somewhere in the middle of his site somewhere.

Anyways, for these two templates, I removed my YUGE Header image – front and center, “reused” the black “row” and shrunk and placed my YUGE Header image to the left of the Title block! Voila! I’ve set the Position to “Sticky”, in which “the block will stick to the top of the window instead of scrolling”. However, my eyeballs are getting tired of looking at the ultimate brightness of the overall whitish background color.

The off-centered Header image and Title block looks awkward, but that should distract the readers/viewers enough to feel “irritated” to just stop reading altogether or continue scrolling and clicking all over the place. I would prefer that the Title block remains in the middle, though. But I’ll probably need to use the WP Site feature to test my “production” with my Elementor subscription for fun.

For the other templates, I’ll just keep the main YUGE Header image aligned to the top and centered.

That’s all for now. End transmission 2238 PST. Edited 2240 PST.

  • New header and footer images

20250401-1938. Behold, chumps! I have created two new images for my Header and Footer. I was inspired by TVC and his recent “symbolic-pics-of-the-month” about these celebrities being humiliated ritually on stage with a bunch of eye-BALLS (ahem) falling down from above and towards below where they await their few minutes of fame.

So in just about under thirty minutes, well, or rather more like 45 minutes, I was able to borrow/clone/copy/mirror/steal create my new Header and Footer images! For “The REAL Flynn”, I used red. For “Paws”, I used gray. And for “A.K.A. Flynn’s Blogs”, I used black. This was fun!

For the Header, I included the black-colored line. This row in set in a white background. The next row is set in black background. This row contains my main Navigation menu of all my Pages but with the Overlay activated and showing the triple-hamburger icon on the far left and the Search icon only on the far right.

For the Footer, I excluded the black-colored line. The footer is set in a black background. I removed the Blogroll links and just stacked nicely/vertically the following blocks: new Footer image, Social Icons, main Navigation menu, and Credits!

For now, I am happy! This web designing exercise was fun. End of transmission 1947 PST.
