  • Less published pages…

    In an effort to reduce my pages (its history and my headaches), I am down to eighteen published pages. There really should be only four PARENT pages, which are in upper case/capital letters and are part of my global/top/main navigation/bar/menu: POSTS, PAGES, ARCHIVES, and LINKS.

    The last two templates (thanks to the theme designer) really encouraged/helped me to reduce the clutter of my bottom/sidebar widgets and extra pages, which no one or myself would have the time to read.

    So the fifth PARENT page has nine children and four grandchildren, which are TOO long to combine with any of the children pages.

    As such, the Pages, Archives, and Links look cleaner and better under Mobile Site as long as the “content” for both templates are kept be blank/clean.

  • How do you stay true to yourself?

    To stay true to yourself is to be honest and to do the best despite laws, rules, regulations, norms, mores, memes, etc. If being true to yourself means to act on murderous impulse, then that is another “entity/enemy” within that must be accepted but punished because such acts infringe upon the concept of “free-will“. If being true to yourself means to exercise “free-will” to pursue happiness, life and liberty, then so be it. I think a fair and balanced mind set would be the ultimate truth to yourself.

  • What is freedom?

    Freedom means “free” to do “dumb” things. That’s why without government regulation, the dumb humans believe they are free to pollute and kill each other to extinction. Even corporations doing business abroad are polluting the environment by not cleaning up after themselves and killing the workers by low wages and horrid living conditions. That’s right! I’m talking about the Chinese/government and their human/animal/plant/mineral rights violations! The “free-will” under a “bio-dome” has its limitation by the one commonality — death.

    What is freedom? When do you feel most free in your job? In your day? Least free? When is it better to not be free?

  • 20111004-Trying Theme

    I was switching themes again and got the following message:

    “You are not authorized to use that theme.”

    That wasn’t the only time I got that message. It must be a sign or something telling me to stop trying different WordPress.com themes. Hmmm.

  • No side/bottom bar…

    Last night, I had to switch back to the Twenty-Eleven theme. Don’t ask me why I am not satisfied. I would like a hybridization of all the free themes here at WordPress.com (as suggested by John Jr in one of his comments here).

    I like a clean and simple appearance for my weblog. As a result, there are no widgets to be seen in either the sidebar or bottom bar! And there are only three menus: Posts, Pages and Archives. Therefore, there are only “internal” pages, which include the blog/post entries.

    I’m testing out this “feeling” without the bottom/sidebar and so far it’s one day of idle satisfaction. But for how long will this temporary satisfied feelling last? I’ll give it another day or so. If only there are MORE shortcodes for all the other widgets, then I’ll be good.
