  • 20070405-Fireman’s Angel

    Fireman's Angel
An image showing an ice sculpture of a fireman and angle taken by Dalene Racicot © 2002 from Porcupine, Ontario, Canada.

    Fireman’s Angel
    Leaning to his right farewell
    A remembrance dwell
    Ice sculpture by ‘darling’ belle
    A nine won one spell

    Eyes and heads ‘pulled’ down
    Exotic weapons around
    Small talk of the town
Melt steel girders by ACE drown
Turn to dust a reddish brown

    To void or to null;
    Just a thought — a ‘miracle!’
    To smile at death’s skull
    And fight storms eventful lull
    Golden fire, ball of gull

  • 20070404-Daily Diary

    All things come to pass.
Burp and fart my stinky gas
    Dreaded card lass
From my mouth and out my ass
    My perfection to surpass

    Email work lunch sends
    Sushi and saki with ‘friends’
    Resume depends
    New skill sets she recommends

    Campai attitude depends

  • 20070403-Daily Diary

    Family:

    ‘Paw’s fried rice and eggs
    Tastier while ‘Maw’ rests legs
    Empty stomach begs
    Saved from starving without kegs
    Daughter happy as fat pegs

    Nature:

    Smell metallic air
    Hurry into gray car mare
    Early morning swear
Little clouds, light blue skies fair
    Metallic air stuck in hair

    Work:

    More crap of the day
    On Friday the thirteen way
    Smelly fish away
    Credit card desk disarray
    Felonious creep drafts delay

    VP of Finance
Making noise as the tools dance
    Auditors in trance
    New manager won’t take chance
I was right all along stance!

    Nature and Work:

    Lots of wispiness
    As the afternoon progress
    Noone to impress
Amidst all the dumb work stress
    Lateral with no success

    Faith and Rant:

    Early evening sleep
Cannot quit thanks to fat creep
    Silence of the peep
    Community service weep
Not good news for PJ sheep

  • 20070321-Jon Jerk

    Decade old remark
Said to me, ‘Joan of Arc’?
    My blue eyed guy bark
A small town of ‘two-cats’ mark
Par l’honneur and a dog park

    Remembered a dark
Place bikers hang out like sharks
    Listened to his hark
    More than librarians stark
In his happy arm to lark

    A southern most town
    Driven up the hilly brown
    Statue end by crown
Old land workers home worn down
    Millionaires home all around

    As memories drown
Hand his flowers with a frown
    Momma’s boy that clown!
Phone slammed in my ear — cut down
    No tattoo or wedding gown

A poem of four tanka in monorhyme.

  • 20070328-Boot Heads

    Damn those dark cahoots!
    Proved by paternity suits
    Pen-filled life dilutes
    Worthless papers by recruits
    Attack problems per grass roots

    Medicine pollutes
    By watered marriage refutes
    Glamoured tool of hoots
Dried tears of mother from toots
    Foil astern for laundry chutes

    Love baby not loots!
    Return her to bloodline roots
    No more vile disputes!
    Appeals or hearings of moot?
Or behind closed door of shoots!

    Photogenic routes
    Remembered first love’s pursuits
    Second cowboy boots
    Vested potential computes
    Kicking bad butts he salutes

  • 20070324-Make It

    Work:

    Leave behind the ‘spits’
Time has come to call the quits
    Battle of the writs
    Arbitrary rights acquits
    Signed work to silence permits

    Data entry sits
    Cubicle home of snake pits
    Burping sound emits
    Letting out green boogered spits
    Frustrate the system with fits

    Hard worker admits
The glass ceiling with all its glitz
    Play the safety blitz
    Full-time slave to her commits
To fly away from their blitz

    People:

    Teeth to the hard grits
    To ‘carry’ the baby gets
    By overworked slits
    Relative only befits
    Love of family submits

  • 20070323-Work Perk

    It’s never too late!
    No emergency too great
    Those who could relate
    Government sponsored berate
No one’s going to die:  Wait!

    Two calls from work
    ‘Sickos’; ‘Ex-Ball’ berserk
    My unconcerned smirk
    Not having a back-up clerk
    Good via management lurk

    Old fart A/R boss
Second witch from ‘Oh Yeah!’ toss
    Fun department floss
    Like ‘See-Aye-Aye’ plugs to gloss
    Prepare for the lay-off loss

    ‘Aura’ and ‘Hard Core’
    Will continue their survey
    Which key to portray
    As keepers for their display
    Titles, pay, H/R essay

    I am not a tool!
Don’t play me for a fool!
    Wall flower jewel.
To grin and bear a thick drool
Till the day I make brown stool.

  • 20070322-Daily Diary

    Family and Rant:
    Early morning wake
Got lost to have a fast break
    At the seven make
Filled out more forms for their sake
Waiting room my home and stake

    Construction site stink
    Stared out windows without blink
    Prayed and wondered think
    About my unified link
    And how they coincide sync

    Re-hydrated too much
    Sat and exercised and such
    Tired to keep in touch
Drank coffee and tea as crutch
    Ate ‘Paw’s turkey sandwich clutch

    Family and People:

    Elder lady Bond
With strong accent blue eyed blonde
    Knows how to respond
Wheel chaired ‘Maw’ to car beyond
Bid our farewells to her fond

    ‘Onion,’ girl came by
    Clowned lazy girl’s gardened shy
    ‘Onion’s’ morn call, ‘Hi.’
    Girl washed our dishes good-bye.
‘Maw’s words to boy soothe imply.

    Faith:

    Imaged as a God
    Incroyable how I forgot
    I could never rot
Through lot, with dot and in spot
    in the unity of Grok

  • 20070324-Feign Again

    Pretending in vain
Oh God! Here we go again
    Relative kinds feign
Smiles and hugs without rich lane
Fake pictures of love no pain

    Angered mind to show
    Old granny’s untrimmed nails grow.
    Hair smelled of pee flow
    Pictures evidenced to sow
    December two years ago

    Eldest daughter smile
Happy to greet in old Paw style
    Granny looked pissed bile
    Sitting there bored not hostile
    Two siblings chat for awhile

    Went back to car Maw
    Waiting with our calm
    Expect nonsense bomb
    from Uncle Dead’s verbal prom
    and his smoking balm

  • 20070322-Ideal Illegals

    It’s their rightful land
Illegal to come in as planned
    Workers on demand
    Caretakers of soil and sand
    Cleaned air, fresh water expand

    Criminals to chop
Allow the good and kind cop
    Open honest shop
    Drugs and alcohol must stop!
Proud to mop or teach on top.

    No fear to loose jobs.
    Any kind than lazy slobs
    Honesty: no mobs
    Humble yet not being snobs
Learn to share, report who robs
