  • Support Suggestions

To Matt and pals: Since the `http://en.support.wordpress.com/` is closed until August 16, I would like to make a few more suggestions for your brainstorming sessions:

    • Add a `category` field to the `QuickPress` feature. Or at least allow `tags` to `auto-populate` to `category`.
      • Now I have to go back and `convert tags to categories`, such as verse, poetry and poem. But I’m too lazy. I may just keep `rant` all by itself under `categories`.
    • Add more themes with time/date stamps, similar to the articles found on Yahoo! News.
      • There is also a time/date stamp showing the latest edited version underneath the original publication. I knew there are themes with time/date stamps. It’s just a pain to tweak the paid CSS upgrade to get it to perfection.
    • Stabilize the WordPress.com themes.
      • I noticed that when I used the paid CSS upgrade, the Windows Internet Explorer would ask if I wanted unsecured stuff to be viewed or not. By clicking not to view the unsecured stuff, the original WordPress.com theme shows up instead of the paid CSS upgrade version. It’s the IE8 version.
  • Support Suggestions

To Matt and pals: Earlier this evening I visited `http://en.support.wordpress.com/` in the hopes of submitting more suggestions. But this is the message I see on the page:

Support is currently closed as staff meet offsite brainstorming ways to make things better. We will be dropping into the forums regularly during the hiatus, and we’ll formally reopen on August 16th.

In the meantime, please feel free to add my suggestions below to your wish list or things to think about during your brainstorming sessions:

    • Add `Edit` feature to the `Bulk Action` of the `link-manager.php`.
    • Add `Bad words detection` feature to the `post.php` and/or `edit.php`.
    • Add `Share this post` feature to the `post.php` and/or `edit.php`.
