Unlike the unsecured webpage of “http://wordpress.com/quickpress/” for posting via Quickpress, the QuickPress (via the admin’s dashboard) has a functioning “Tags” field but the content field is TOO small! I like the bigger size found under the unsecured webpage instead.

I’ve contacted the WordPress.com Support a few minutes ago and asked them to retrieve my missing QuickPress post titled: 20110216-Daily Post. Because I wanted to add (unrequired) Tags for later one, I pressed the “Save as Draft: button. Now all my juicy material is lost! This would be my first major lost beside one poetry that got overwritten from long ago! Bad!

That’s what I like about QuickPress. The tab is easy to locate and is the second tab of six from the right of the home upon logging into the WordPress.com account.

Notice too that when blogging from your place of employment, the site name appears as “WordPress.com — Your Blogging Home”. So that means the boss, who came by my desk unexpectedly a few minutes, couldn’t see the name of my weblog site.

Thank goodness, I have my dummy tab opened — “Welcome to Tabbed Browsing – Windows Internet Explorer”. He saw that instead and even if the pussheads here do know my identity, I already have a registered domain name, which is set to private mode anyway.

Last night, I’ve discovered QuickPress via “http://wordpress.com/#quickpress” and published some blogs with the tag “quickpress”. But the “Tags” field doesn’t work because I do not see my “quickpress” tag on any of these most recent posts.

Therefore, I contacted support to troubleshoot this problem. My goal is to blog via QuickPress. But without tags working, it defeats the purpose. I guess it doesn’t matter because I noticed most of the “Referrers” do not search by tag for topics.

First, I liked and then loved QuickPress. And now, I hate QuickPress! Why? After editing my most recent blog entry to this one, I noticed that my tags for “quickpress” is nowhere to be found! How could that happen to me? After all, tagging blog entries help readers to quickly search for a particular topic. But since it’s nowhere to be found, I guess my blog entries will not make the global tag list. Oh, boy! It’s 2:00am and I better get some sleep! Good morning to all!

In one of my previous blog entry, a “Post Title” read something about liking QuickPress. In this particular blog entry, I’m loving QuickPress! That’s right! Now, I know why it’s called a QuickPress.

• There are only two required fields to fill out.
• The content field does not have editing features.
• Publishing is quick! There appears to be no lag time from the moment one presses the Publish button.

In addition, there is a field for entering tags but it’s not required. Below the tag field, there is drop-down menu to select which “Post to Blog” and further below there are two buttons to “Save as Draft” or “Publish“.

I usually press the publish button with confidence that I’ve said all I could and without much errors. After that button is pressed there appears to be a message against a light blue background towards the top, which reads as:

Post published successfully. View post

So what I did is “right-click” the “View post” link to my most recent post recent to this one. Lo and behold, the default 2010 theme loaded up my front page VERY quickly! I am please, now. May I rest in peace because the current time is 1:53am.

Whoo! Hoo! I’ve checked to see if there are anymore updates. I noticed that the green-colored light no longer blinked, meaning my CPU is free from working in the background. Now I could type out this particular blog entry faster by using the QuickPress feature!

Below is the message and I will attempt to use the HTML code, such as “blockquote” and “strong”. Wish me luck because I don’t know how it will look. I’m getting sleepy, by the way.

I like using the QuickPress feature from “WordPress.com — Your Blogging Home” page. It’s faster than navigating through one of my registered blog to get into the dashboard and/or selecting “New Post” via the drop-down menu of “My Blogs”.

This is what QuickPress is meant to fulfill: To be quick, if not “Fast and Furious” at, but for slow, outdated computers and dial-up, internet connections. Had it not been for my dead computer and its “black screen of death”, I would not have discovered the usefulness of QuickPress.

All this time I was wasting was not in vain. Although there are no tabs for “Visual” and “HTML” editing, QuickPress offers it simple yet fastest way to get one’s blog entry published. So far I’ve posted around four blogs in one hour. And that’s good sign that I’m back.

With my slow laptop and high internet connection, I’m able to type out my thoughts deliberately and clearly. No longer am I the “Speedy Gonzalez” — a cartoon character, but a more careful blogger, who is more thoughtful in providing more meaningful content to VERY particular readers.

I noticed too that there is little if any errors because of my slowness in typing each letter out so that my slow CPU could catch up. Therefore, there is not need “To correct for proper spelling and grammar”.

I just discovered something quicker than “QuickPress” and “New Post”! Since I’m currently using Theme: Prologue by Automattic (A group blog theme for short update messages, inspired by Twitter.); I am making use of this “post box form”, which is located underneath the “header” and entering this post right now!

But I’d have to hard code for simple functions such as bold type, colors, etc. There’s no place to enter a “post title” for this particular blog entry! And that’s not good!

After posting a QuickPress entry via my `wp-admin` page. I see the following message:

Post published. View post | Edit post.

I’m testing the QuickPress feature via my `wp-admin` page. This section has six fields to fill in: Title, Content, Tags, Save Draft, Reset, and Publish.

Boy! That QuickPress was fast! After pressing the `Publish` button, the previous `Post published successfully. View post`. You see? There is supposed to be a link of `http://thebloggingpath.wordpress.com/?post_type=post&p=65161` within the words of `View posts`. But as mentioned in my previous blog entry, there is no visual editor while writing.
