  • 20091120-Miranda’s Freedom

    Miranda warning:

    A Miranda warning is a warning given by police in the United States to criminal suspects in police custody, or in a custodial situation, before they are interrogated. A custodial situation is one in which the suspect’s freedom of movement is restrained (judged by the “free to leave” test), even if he is not under arrest.

    Miranda rights:

    An elicited incriminating statement by a suspect will not constitute admissible evidence unless the suspect was informed of his/her “Miranda rights” and made a knowing, intelligent, and voluntary waiver of those rights. However, a 2004 Supreme Court ruling upheld state “stop-and-identify” laws, allowing police in those jurisdictions to require biographical information such as name, date of birth, and address, without arresting suspects or providing them Miranda warnings.

    With respect to the Fort Hood shooting, I feel that the psycho, who is paralyzed from the waist down, be asked if he wants to plead guilty and the death penalty, a martyr’s dream through lethal injection.

    Obviously, if he declared a Jihad and ended up killing 13 people and since he is out of his mind, nutters are not entirely responsible for the criminal behavior and maybe should be locked up forever in jail instead.

    As far as national security, he represents yet another pawn for political policies: To find out which military personnel or potential killers are prone to PTSD and other mental illnesses before and after the trigger, which sets them off like this guy.

    He and other psychos like him should be rigorously screened prior to signing up with the military. Thorough background check must be implemented, too. People with mental illness should not be handling firearms, period. Others could get hurt.

    Since he was still employed as a military personnel, he should to be tried and executed via the military, the pawns of politics and policy-making. Why not go back to the old days of blind-folding and the firing squad; while smoking a cigarette as an option?

  • 20091120-Tongue Flickers

    Last night we watched in the first of two parts, an interview with Sarah Palin by Bill O’Reilly on `The O’Reilly Factor on FOXNews.com`. Both flicked their tongues once in awhile. Althought one may be an Independent, the woman dressed in bloody red is definitely a Reptilican.

    Now I don’t mind successful, wealthy people like Sarah Palin making a bundle more of dough from her new book, `Going Rogue` and at the same time uphold the `old` constitution and advocate for the right to bear arms. Lots of white folks attended a book signing recently. That tells me which group of people Sarah is trying to win for potential votes.

    Politics has been suspiciously set up like an entertainment or a circus, from putting Sarah down during the presidential campaign to not criticizing Barack Obama before and during his presidency.

    And now the mainstream press is resurrecting a person who still sounds nervous during interviews. I do not understand what is the point of character building after Sarah was played as a pariah of all sorts.

    It doesn’t make sense for anyone to be labeled a conversative but not belonging to the Reptilican party or being a moderate of a made-up name like the Blue-Dog Demoncrats or a liberal who is willing the forego the Demoncratic party for voting the passage of the health care insurance reform bill.

    Further, it doesn’t make sense to believe she could run and be the next president. Honestly, I do not care. Why are liberals protrayed as being afraid of her? Is there noone else MORE qualified than her? WTF is wrong with the Reptilican party?

    If I recall correctly and if the mainstream press correctly presented for the record one of her accomplishments as Govenor of Alaksa is to authroize the killings of wolves over reindeer as foodstuff, then this, gun-toting, flesh-eating predator won’t get my vote.

  • 20091117-Cancer Costs

    Treating sick people with or without health insurance is costly.

    We heard over the airwaves of our local radio station HOT TALK 560 AM KSFO about how women around the age of 40 no longer need to get an annual mammogram until the age of 50. This is another way of preventing women with potential breast cancer from seeking treatment.

    Then `El Rushbeau` came on the air and mentioned more health-related areas that are no longer medically required. In other words, it is in preparation for the possible passage of Obama’s health care insurance reform bill.

    So that is it folks. If you get sick in America, you can just die a slow death. Sometimes not knowing about sickness is better than worrying about how long to live. But when there is pain, I guess that’s the time people go in for medical intervention. By the time they find out, it is too late to be saved where preventive treatment could have prolonged one’s life.

    Vai had severe pain in belly from untreated pancreatic cancer. Morphine was administered & she passed on. It’s also assisted suicide, a martyr’s dream to heaven

    Slow die-t! Ate ‘bulaklak’ & tripe. Have eaten chicarones, snout, ears & feet, too! Guess not Muslim ideal. Want to be thin & healthy like Barry & pals. Wilbur, forgive me.

  • 20091107-Medical Examiner

    While channel surfing to find some brain food from the television, I may have watched:

    Dr. G: Medical Examiner
    Prescription For Change
    TV-PG, CC

    Dr.G investigates the mysterious death of a woman with almost no medical history. A known prescription drug addict is found dead at a friend’s house, with 2 empty pill bottles. Dr G. doesn’t assume overdose – since no pills are found in her stomach.

    I’m not sure if this was the correct show but the diagnosis was hyperthyroid, which made the woman all sweaty. The heart couldn’t keep up with the lack of oxygen and the women went into cardiac arrest. She didn’t have any atherosclerosis but her heart was enlarged and so was her thymus gland.

    The blood tests helped the medical examiner complete her work, which she needed PRIOR to signing off the death certificate for this young woman, who died in a dress which according to the doctor is unusual.

    If Barry and pals think they could mess around with the current medical technology, mysterious deaths could not have been solved.

  • 20091107-Mystery Diagnosis

    While channel surfing for some brain food on the television, we watched the first half hour of a program on `Discovery Health`:

    Mystery Diagnosis
    The Woman Who Went Crazy

    A young mother begins to experience panic attacks and suffers a terrifying seizure. Treated and released she is sent home; however later experiences episodes of paranoia and delusions. Doctors struggle to find out what’s causing her psychotic symptoms.

    The woman was suffering from ovarian cancer, which was taken out! She had delusions and had to be strapped down in the hospital bed. Only a specialist from another facility diagnosed her mysterious medical condition. Her auto-immune system did something to her body, causing her to have psychotic symptoms. The body could respond, creating anti-gens and sometimes hair, teeth and nails are found in the cancerous area! Weird!

    So if Barry and pals think they could mess around with the current medical technology and try to socialize health insurance, people like this woman would been MIS-DIAGNOSED and ultimately committed to the nut house.
