A literal technique ‘opposite’ to prose (e.g. everyday speech).

  • 20070224-Labcoat Lies

Television ads with white lab coat show
that ninety-nine percent are in the know.
From actors to doctors with PhD, too
they say take this or that. It will be good for you.

They say you’re abnormal but cannot prove.
Ingesting these pills may make you improve.
These bullies are making crazed people sick
and producing zombies as their clocks tick.

Sleeping people are awake but not dead.
They walk while asleep with no dreams in bed.
The plain truth does hurt but love overrules
for some who awaken to their own tools.

  • 20070224-Ticky Tock

Tick-y tock! Tick-y tock! Up and down!
Shake your head, talking birds like a clown.
    See the mirror, sweetie.
    All of the time, cutie.
    Parakeets, pretty birds fly around.

    Another attempt at limerick.

  • 20060923-Project Scream!

    Hey! Come on! Don’t sue!
We are friends and not strangers!
    I hate all of you!
    They are dark, offshore dangers
    and greedy money changers.

    Another attempt at tanka poetry.

  • 20051114-My Offer

    I offer you nothing.
    I offer you my Truth.
    My existence is something
through the mind of a youth.

    You may have anything
but my soul, heart and stars.
My love is what I bring
    to you for long [h]ours.

  • 20070221-Ash Time

    Early morning waking
    Somewhat groggily
    Sat while muscles aching
    Snoozing peacefully

    Our Father praying
    ‘One thousand hands’
    A forward discharging
    Zapped loud speakers lands

    Darkest ash on forehead
    Bless holy water
    Steak, juice and round bread
    An angel daughter

  • 20070220-Resist Site

What’s the opposite of truth and love?
It’s the shining light from up above.
The truth is not shown but brightly glares.
The love feels warm from sunshine flares.

What’s the opposite of lives and lies?
It’s the whining site of the heartfelt cries.
The lives of evils bring death to us all.
The lies are nothing no matter how small.

Another poem of two, four-lined stanzas of eight syllables with aabb pattern.

  • 20070220-Fatal Blow

I do discriminate but out of hate.
Stuck in time and in line; don’t like to wait!
My tongue wags in ‘anger’ at these dark cahoots
for casting first stones like picking fresh fruits.

Don’t play the oboe or banjo for me!
Holy knights have not lied on bended knee.
Seven times round to share my hidden truth:
My sharpened angle is of nail and tooth.

  • 20070220-Hedenous Growth

    Evening becomes a starry night
    after cumulous cloud in sight
    and fluffy, puffiness of white
during the day of utmost bright.

Dark purples clouds and dark blue skies
filled the night with blessed disguise.
The length stretched of massive size
    like cigar-shaped dragons wise.

    Another two poems in monorhyme.

  • 20070218-Sunday Time

    Morning:
    Get up and let’s go!
Should be right to pick up food;-
    Delivered on time.

    Brown trail on green grass-
A New Year delight to see:-
    ‘Onion’ scooped it up.

    Two fruits, two candies-
    Given by his other half:-
    Waved to his ‘in-laws.’

    Gray horse under trees-
    Brown gravel path or sidewalk-
    we went twice around.

    Afternoon:
    Warm golden honey-
    Fluffy, white cumulous clouds-
    From second floor view-

    Nothing in the way-
Freedom to leave or to stay:-
    Sun release us now.

    Dancing trees nearby-
    cool breeze through brown branches-
    It’s late afternoon.

  • 20070218-Un Us

We are not the ends to your means!
Some things are better than our genes.
You can’t undo what is not yours.
You can’t unite through tear or wars.

We cannot mock or laugh at you.
Flare ups are due to too much pooh!
There’s only one way to escape
by ending your expensive red tape.

Another poem of two, four-lined stanzas in eight syllables of aabb pattern.

  • 20070217-Broken Hearted

Break the hopes and dreams of these men.
Ruined are the lives of poor folks-
Opened to more lies and deceits.
Killed are the innocent young lives-
Ended in a den of demons.
Nothing is seen or heard of them.

Hear the small voice within you hearts.
Every path leads me back to you.
Arrows point down when you’re around.
    Run away from heavy lending!
Turn away from high interest rates!
    End the funny money, honey.
Don’t be broken hearted, my dear.

  • 20061128-Ding! Dong!

True is a God who could be man’s best friend.
There are the green grids from my matrix dream.
Synchs are coincidences without an end.
My secret pill will lead me to the stream.

My opinion tells me we are all the same.
Two dings from two dongs lead me to believe.
My choice is a game without Fame or Blame.
At night, one hour copters were a peeve.

    Another attempt at Lento.
