Oh my bodrul: I see lots of non-compliance with Feng Shui (i.e. that extra monitor and other shelves located above your head).

Here is my pic: It shows a fifteen inch monitor surrounded by a Christmas figurine, stuff animals and lots of other cute displays on top of my monitor (like one Pikachu, two R2D2, and an owl. As you can see it’s not really clutter but neat and tidy, just the way I like it.

Hey, it’s great to ‘break wind’ openly but discreetly then walk away and let someone else take the heat (or flame for those who experiment by lighting up their fart).

But I do mind if I happen to catch of whiff of the stinky, smelly odor other than my own. It’s just not fun that way especially around people I hardly know.

Oh now that’s not nice or supportive but LOL, nonetheless!

Or try transmission fluid from another poster.

What your wife experienced is not uncommon. It’s a form of sleep paralysis. I think it is referred to as “the old hag syndrome,” or something like that.

I have posted my experiences on another related ATS thread about how I think that perhaps the brain is being deprived of oxygen. For example, I’m sensitive to strong smells or odors especially to smoke. I’d get an easy buzz from second hand smoke and feel the dizzying effects almost immediately.

When my above ‘scientific’ or ‘natural’ suggestion has not fully addressed your concern about your wife’s situation, smudge (along with prayers of love and light) does seem to work. I don’t know how or why but one other sensitive claims that this is a positive action to take in order to rid that which is considered ‘bad’ – demon or otherwise.

Philosophically, I don’t think anything is ‘bad’ but more of a challenge to overcome – a litmus test, if you will. For some reason, I’m recalling the phrase ‘Courage is grace under pressure.’ by Ernest Hemmingway or something along the line of ‘creating precious gems under pressure’.

Oh heck! When all else fails, get a spray bottle of holy water and pray. If kitty cat can be trained to behave, so can those invisible pests! Spray away!

You mentioned this being a sleep disorder. There are sleep disorder clinics you can go to where they will monitor you while you sleep.
I believe the brain is being deprived of oxygen during your sleep state. Since I cannot afford to submit myself to a sleep study and ultimately obtain one of those CPAP machines and CPAP masks for the treatment of sleep apnea, if any, I choose a simple remedy instead.

Based on my personal experiences, I am able to sleep better with a simple over the counter remedy – nasal spray. I am currently trying to use up this medicated nasal spray and buy the more expensive, holistic, non-medicated nasal spray that one could find at the local drug store.

OOBe’s and lucid dreaming are as real as watching oneself in a live televised programming. I’ve experienced less of these ‘paranormal’ events ever since I used my nasal spray, which lasts around twelve (12) hours between each spray. (I hope these ‘nasal sprays’ aren’t ruining my chances of astral traveling more!)

BTW, I have sinus congestion and possibly due to allergies and my deviated septum on the left side.

  • 273621-Shadowy Encounter

I had an encounter with a shadow (or ghost) person. I was exercising between my parents bedroom and the dining room. The lights were turned down low and all I could see straight ahead of me was my reflection in a portrait hanging on the wall.

For some reason, I felt VERY uneasy that night. Then as I continued to exercise and make other images of my reflection, I saw a distinct, shadowy figure walk quite briskly from left to right.

The image was about my height and obviously male in appearance. I couldn’t see his face but he had his hands in his pockets. His head was cast downward and there as a noticeable slouch to his shoulders.

I didn’t tell my parents at that time because, once again, noone would believe my story. Also, I didn’t have my camera or video with me to take any visual ‘proof’ of my paranormal experience. Moments like these are instantaneous.

This event occurred towards the end of July 2007 of this year. And this would be my first ‘ghostly’ encounter.

Your guess is as good as mine.

I’ve came across this BTS thread since yesterday and if indeed the OP is trolling then this one is worth reading because the topic mentions the concern of us ‘normal’ folks helping those who may or may not need more professional help.

I’ll admit pork rind is delicious! (Please forgive me. I couldn’t help myself, Wilbur – Zukerman’s famous pig from Charlotte’s Web)!

Pork rind is much tastier when dipped in vinegar, BTW. It sure does make a great snack. Crunch! Crunch! Crunch!

Wooo! Hooo! Bring on the hairy guys! Honestly, too much facial hair (like Grizzly Adams) turns me off.

Sometimes, I prefer the clean look for this makes the guy appears youngish. Guys sporting a 5 o’clock shadow or goatees are cool, but not so much with a moustache for these remind me of, well, cops (no offense, please).

I can’t make up my mind, really.

  • 322918-Christmas Cheers

I personally wish to ‘break tradition’ and avoid celebrating Christmas altogether!

But I belong to a family where attending midnight mass, cooking and baking foodstuff, buying over-priced and over-commercialized of mostly imported goods, gifting friends and strangers alike, and visiting certain ungrateful relatives who ‘play plastic’ can be loads of ‘white knuckling’ fun.

As for putting up indoor and especially my favorite activity of outdoor lightings, ours happens to be the brightest bling for one-quarter mile on this strip of road in my neighborhood.

Besides the high cost of living, my area is mostly non-Christian so this may be another reason as to the apparent dead appearance of Christmas.

As for chem-, err, I meant con-trails, those will continue to make our Christmas as white washed as our skies above. But this is another topic to discuss elsewhere, eh?

  • 322964-Next Please

I would like to hear the music of Pachelbel’s Canon (a.k.a. Canon in D major) by Johann Pachelbel when I arrive in ‘Heaven’! I love that music and have come across a rock guitar version via youtube.com.

However, I think I will hear pretty much nothing to at least: ‘Next, please!’ This is similar to waiting in a long line at the checkout stand of a grocery store.

  • 322808-Christmas Card

The best gift I received this Christmas is a ‘thank you’ card from a ‘friend’ I met online. I am hoping to meet him in person but I guess the time is not right. Darn!
