  • 321270-Fictional Being

Hmmm: I would have initially gone with both letters A. and B. as one and the same, where God (a savior) is on a mission through a teacher who reveals [esoteric] knowledge. But then again, I’d have to go with MM’s fictional being as letter C or even my letter D (see below):

    A. Savior (God on a mission)
    B. Revealer (teacher of knowledge)
    C. Exclamation as in ‘Gee! I don’t like either letters A. or B.’
    D. All of the above.

  • 321316-My Eyeglasses

Yeah, I’m an astigmatic nerd who wears a plastic Jones New York Eyeglasses J425 (Brown) with Eyesize: 55; Bridge: 17; Temple: 135. My single vision iZon High Resolution Lens (San Diego, CA) has the fine amenities of anti-scratch; anti-glare and UV protection coatings. Total cost with insurance is over $400.00 for one pair.

Furthermore, with the lack of a high-bridged nose, I may need those eyeglass leashes to keep my pair of prescription glasses from slipping. But for the meantime, I’ve squished the nose pad closer together as a temporary fix. This creates dark, bruise-like grooves on the sides of my nose, unfortunately.

I used to wear contact lenses but my already dry eyes protested. The eye drops offered little comfort knowing that something foreign is sticking to my eyes. The daily task of insertion, removal and cleaning got tiresome. But my peripheral vision was better with contact lenses compared to wearing eyeglasses, by the way.

I’ve tried grey tinted contact lenses that made my dark brown eyes almost light, purplish blue. The responses from people were more positive with my lighter eyes that with my natural eye color. If only I could afford that laser eye surgery, I’m sure I’d be able to see the world much better than hiding behind my corrective lenses.

So when and if I could get rid of my old ‘back-up’ pairs, I would definitely donate those to my local optometrist for those persons in the most need of looking like Ugly Betty. Hehehe!

  • 320390-Dream Head Off

I dreamt of dying by the hands of an executioner, who was standing to my left. My hands were tied behind my back. I was wearing a long white gown and my long dark hair was disheveled.

There was a stone wall to my right with maybe two torches attached to the wall that dimly lighted the air.

One person in front of me was also in the same uncomfortable position where our feet were tucked underneath and our heads bowed down in submission.

The date of my death was August 19 when that long wooden axe came down on my neck, not once, but twice because the first blow was not successful. Both strikes were painless.

I remember hovering above my body after the second strike of the long wooden axe before I awoke from my dream.

  • 321596-NDE Experience

I’ll keep my story short and simple. I wouldn’t call this a NDE but I am sure it was the closest. Mine wasn’t all beautiful and loving. I was actually standing in a darkened room where the only source of light was filtering from the ceiling several stories above me. This shaft of light shined through the size of a manhole cover.

The only way up and towards this light was an elevator spiraling counter clockwise. I saw myself stepping upon this elevator as it was moving. Each time I tried step onto one of the rising stairs I would fall backwards. Then I remember ‘Maw’ slapping me awake because I had a 104 degree Fahrenheit fever.

I would guess that this particular NDE is triggered by stress of having the aches and pains from flu-like symptoms while under the over-the-counter medication. By the way, this event occurred many years ago and I’ve not noticed any life changing perspective on life either as a result.

  • 310440-Four Holes

Well, mine are two holes per earlobes; so that makes it four ‘pierces’ in my body. I happen to wear two 22k gold earrings as my preferred jewelry, too. I was thinking about getting a nose pierce on my left nostril but don’t know about the results. Perhaps, I’ll need to find out the hard way and get one myself.

  • 320920-Gift Giving

Ummm, Hi! This is my first post. Although I am jobless for six months and can’t hold down a temporary job in my field of ‘bean counting’, I’ve sponsored a family in Southern California and children in need of a holiday gift through our local tree giving programs. Sometimes I get carried away and give too much out of my hard work for my own good. But that is me and in the spirit of giving there is no holding back what I feel is right even if it means breaking my piggy bank.
