Over the past decades as design in all its forms developed and started having bigger and bigger impact on our daily lives a certain confusion tagged along. A confusion that design is a form of art.

• Art creates problems. Design solves problems.
• Art is interpretative. Design is unanimous.
• Art is exploration. Design is observation and iteration.
• Art has no goal. Design has specific goal.
• Art is creating for the artist. Design is creating for the end user.
• Design is engineering.

I’ve read this article slowly and completely and now understand the difference between art and design. This helps with “tagging” my weblog, in which I share mostly art. But I remove both tags because of the confusion.
