  • 20090826-Yard Working

Prior to entering more blogs this afternoon and right after eating lunch, I’ve worked in the backyard:

    • Re-planted to air plants from ant infested moss, sitting in nook of one of the fruit tree.
    • Removed old cactus leaves, dumped old soil and washed out that container.
    • Flushed out two potted plants containing bulbs and one spider, drowned  by moi into lawn.
    • Re-planted seedlings growing from the base of its flowering parent-plant.
    • Swept dried leaves with the almighty ~walis~ for one-hour, getting fresh air and sweating under warm sun while wearing a sleeveless, fleece, gray-colored vest:
      • Eucalyptus tree.
      • Other leaves dropped by the squirrels from four of fruits trees clustered together.
      • Damn you, God-nature! Defeated again, daily.
  • 20090823-Birdies Ahoy

Saw 4 then 5 brown birdies hopping around on cement between camquat & lemon trees, eating unknown stuff from ground. They played in water bath & all flew away..

  • 20090823-Hummingbird Ahoy

Saw hummingbird hovering at hibiscus flowers & then hovered near parakeet cage while I waved at it w/ left hand from opened screendoor! Flew away then came back

  • 20090813-Daily Diary

Attended 0800am mass. Ate @ McD. Drove to Maw’s doctor’s appt: waited in car while trying to listen to `El Rushbeau`; to read `Liberty & Tyranny` and ended up blogging a bit and napping.

Went to Magats store to buy tinapas fish and meat stuff for lunch. @ 11:27am: tall, dark-shaded, bug-eyed, big ass Mexicana came out of a discount store and spat on the sidewalk; while I waited in the Mercedes-Benz E430. Of course, I made expletives through the opened windows. Low class, reptoids.

Did yardwork of blowing eucalyptus leaves, sweeping, hauling and piling on MY road for pick-up tomorrow morning (every Friday). Ate tinapas fish for lunch. Took shower. Blogged upstairs. Enjoying clear, blue skies and cool breeze blowing through the tree branches, which are dancing and waving in the air.

  • 20090812-Daily Diary

Sunny, clear blue skies tday but w/ early morn sylphs yday. Watered backyard veggies, saw a honeybee pollinate bitter melon & refilled birdbath for small birds.

  • 20090730-Seeing Faces

Seeing 2 faces formed from eucalyptus tree across from us. Both like tragedy masks looking out to MY road, maybe one demonic. Neat to imagine. Will draw now….

  • 20090711-Little Birds

While giving the parakeets their mid-morning bath, I saw a male, red-crested brown bird drinking water from the birdbath. I pointed the hose and its spray mist towards it to give the small bird a light shower. It washed a little bit and flew off.

Later, Maw wanted me to harvest one of her zucchini, which I did but accidentally cut one of its long leaf. Both of us eyed small baby birds fluttering around inside our pear trees of plenty to my immediate left.

To my immediate right, I noticed how low the water level was for the birdbath. I dragged the hose over, spilled out the water and filled it up with fresh water. To my adjacent right, there were three potted plants of bitter melon.

Maw exclaimed there was a small humming bird behind it make-shift trellis (created by Paw and I) for the vines to climb up easier. I tried to acknowledge to her but didn’t want to be loud and scare of the little bird.

Later, I water Maw’s other vegetable plants: two eggplants and two peppers. At around 0630AM as per my watch and its incorrect time, which really should have read 1042AM, that same small hummingbird flew briefly to about my eye level and at a ten o’clock direction before flying off towards the south.

  • 20090618-Hi Hummingbird

@ 1729, a brown hummingbird buzz outside the back sliding door, near the height of where parakeet cage is located. Waved to it! Was drinking from red hibiscus..
