    Evil shape of cube
Siphon love light through dark tube
    Spin faster with lube

    Love shaped like five stars
    Light beings inside time jars
    Stop illusion’s scars

Two more samples of tanka in monorhyme.

  • 20070409-Resume Rut

    Morning e-mail:
    Former boss to sway
    Co-workers pending buffet
    Time to pave the way
    Start anew with higher pay
    Email pending meet one day

    Afternoon nail:
    Triple ‘Sickos’ say
    Informal questions convey
    More like spies survey
Who will stay or go away?
I’ll be quitting by justice way

    Late evening wail:
    Working hard dismay
    Updating my resume
    Must go out and play
    Over six years of delay
Over ten years of slave prey

Three more samples of tanka in monorhyme.
[Yawn to a good morning (4/10) to ‘belated’ humor of head pressure… sheesh — thanks!]

  • 20070408-Old Lune

    Keep me alive now
    Take a bow
    To kata of Tao

    Inside your small minds
    Watered kinds
    Fleeting thoughts unwinds

    An eternal sleep
    Old moon peep
    Jumping mountain sheep

    Over high fences
    Armed senses
    Leap of faith senses

    Leave troubles behind
    Chained ball grind
    Friendly bonds that bind

    Troubles and worries
    Love hurries
    Amidst the flurries

    Together again
    On the train
    Freedom with the rain

    All my messages
    Lost ages
    Times for presages

Eight samples of ‘lune’ poetry in monorhyme.

    Nature:

    White clouds overcast
    Cold windy breeze blowing blast
    Bending trees like mast
    Sometimes slow and sometimes fast
Light blue skies behind clouds vast

    Family:

    Easter lilies cuts
    Wield large knife gardening nuts
    Out front of house ruts
    Small vases of sacred huts
    Fifth on dining table but

    Maw frying fish cakes
    Wheelchair crying with knees aches
    Old people mistakes
Cutting toe nails and corn flakes
    After Paw’s leaf blower rakes

    Crying Old Maw’s clean
    Activities lack routine
    Lotion, iodine, latrine
    Dependant on others’ preen
Daughter said, ‘To deal with change!’ mean

    Massage aching hands
    Crying Old Maw understands
None at all to help plans
    Stretching the tight muscles strands
Remove some pain; so she stands.

  • 20070406-Freed Brats

    How dare you mock me!
    Your reality movie
    Read fools’ boring plea
Believe in life; set us free
    Stupid sheeple on T.V.

    Confessions coerced
    From her bloody angered thirst
    By her hatred cursed
    To serve lovingly as first
    Always ready for the worst

    Using women-kind?!?
    From propaganda behind
    Violence maligned
    Fulfill karma intertwined.
    Release the children confined!

    Not a blasphemy
to mock Christ in spirit free.
    Scratching off dog fleas
    Communion with Christ: a key.
No scars from bloody backs see

    Fireman's Angel
An image showing an ice sculpture of a fireman and angle taken by Dalene Racicot © 2002 from Porcupine, Ontario, Canada.

    Fireman’s Angel
    Leaning to his right farewell
    A remembrance dwell
    Ice sculpture by ‘darling’ belle
    A nine won one spell

    Eyes and heads ‘pulled’ down
    Exotic weapons around
    Small talk of the town
Melt steel girders by ACE drown
Turn to dust a reddish brown

    To void or to null;
    Just a thought — a ‘miracle!’
    To smile at death’s skull
    And fight storms eventful lull
    Golden fire, ball of gull

    Work:

    Working hard again
    Credit card goddess campaign
    Try to ascertain
    Fun boss, bad mouthing refrain
    Apologies entertain.

    Family and Rant:

    ‘Maw’s P/T time guide
    Exercise pulley we tried
    Run upstairs to hide.
Blog about small world with pride
    Dare not hurt myself outside.

  • 20070404-Daily Diary

    All things come to pass.
Burp and fart my stinky gas
    Dreaded card lass
From my mouth and out my ass
    My perfection to surpass

    Email work lunch sends
    Sushi and saki with ‘friends’
    Resume depends
    New skill sets she recommends

    Campai attitude depends

  • 20070403-Daily Diary

    Family:

    ‘Paw’s fried rice and eggs
    Tastier while ‘Maw’ rests legs
    Empty stomach begs
    Saved from starving without kegs
    Daughter happy as fat pegs

    Nature:

    Smell metallic air
    Hurry into gray car mare
    Early morning swear
Little clouds, light blue skies fair
    Metallic air stuck in hair

    Work:

    More crap of the day
    On Friday the thirteen way
    Smelly fish away
    Credit card desk disarray
    Felonious creep drafts delay

    VP of Finance
Making noise as the tools dance
    Auditors in trance
    New manager won’t take chance
I was right all along stance!

    Nature and Work:

    Lots of wispiness
    As the afternoon progress
    Noone to impress
Amidst all the dumb work stress
    Lateral with no success

    Faith and Rant:

    Early evening sleep
Cannot quit thanks to fat creep
    Silence of the peep
    Community service weep
Not good news for PJ sheep

  • 20070402-Which Ward

    ‘Forward Ever, Backward Never’
    Campaign slogan — unknown clever
    Headless body — heartless sever
    People always starving fever
    Eying on their OIL endeavor

Another political poem regarding an election of five-lined stanza in eight syllables in monorhyme. (The opposition won, by the way).

  • 20070401-Daily Diary

    Early morning rise
    Rubbed my groggy tired eyes
    Palm Sunday surprise
First time use per my advice
    Purple wheelchair with despise

    Rolling Maw along
    Defiant red cane stick strong
    Boring Gospel long
In the blue skies trails of wrong
Birds sounding their warm spring song

    Spit bad thoughts like pooh
Filter out what may be true
    Ate burritos two
Listened on how to make stew
    Couldn’t remember; no clue

    Beckon sleepy head
    Excused myself off to bed
    Four hour nap spread
    Four hours blog, poems read
    Downstairs again for late bread

    Pamper grown baby
    Wheelchair and the old lady
    Always slave not free
Do this and that or maybe
Stop my thoughts of sad banshee

    Patience of Old Paw
    Works as a lone gardener
    Quiet with no stir
    Bundled up in cotton fur
    Nothing to stop or deter

Six more samples of tanka in monorhyme.

  • 20070321-Jon Jerk

    Decade old remark
Said to me, ‘Joan of Arc’?
    My blue eyed guy bark
A small town of ‘two-cats’ mark
Par l’honneur and a dog park

    Remembered a dark
Place bikers hang out like sharks
    Listened to his hark
    More than librarians stark
In his happy arm to lark

    A southern most town
    Driven up the hilly brown
    Statue end by crown
Old land workers home worn down
    Millionaires home all around

    As memories drown
Hand his flowers with a frown
    Momma’s boy that clown!
Phone slammed in my ear — cut down
    No tattoo or wedding gown

A poem of four tanka in monorhyme.
