  • 20101201-Thank You

It’s perfect timing. One my anniversary day from nakedness to fatness, I’ve received a card : “Thank you!”. I’ve received the same card around the same time as last year. Only this year my friggin’ Canon Pixma MP170 Color Printer/Scanner doesn’t work. So below is the “borrowed” image showing the same card:

    Thank You 12-01-10
    Thank You 12-01-10

I like the message inside. And my response to “my family” is one of happiness as I held up the card to my nose upon first glance at the lime-green envelop inside my letter rack and of joy as I read the message to my family after eating dinner, taking pictures and cutting the blueberry cake from Paris Bakery (off Lawrence Expressway in Santa Clara, CA). You should know where this place is: Landy.

When I came home the three were singing the song to me from the darkened living room! That’s the first time that ever happened after a day’s work! And the boy was trying to hug me but I couldn’t unload my two bags. I felt so sorry for the boy that I gave him a good hug.

Anyway, I opened the two other pink envelopes from the bio-units with a nice little oblong-shaped paper inside their card and from the boy, along with a two volume edition of “The Complete Paintings” of Van Gogh by Ingo F. Walther and Rainer Metzger (www.Taschen.com) and a Webkinz Signature stuff chipmunk, which was really supposed to be a squirrel.

You can see the image of the stuffed animal and three cards below:

Thanks and I love y’all! Hope you enjoyed dinner of fried rice, noodles, chicken, shrimp salad, sushi and custard.

Pentagon study dismisses risk of openly gay troops

By ANNE FLAHERTY, Associated Press Anne Flaherty, Associated Press 31 mins ago

WASHINGTON – Defense Secretary Robert Gates told Pentagon reporters on Tuesday that existing policies such as housing and spousal benefits for military service members “can and should be applied equally to homosexuals as well as heterosexuals.”

Okay, if the military is going to “tolerate” gays serving OPENLY, make sure ALL personnel (especially the “straights”) get equal protection from “sexual harassment” by criminal offenders. I don’t want any fraternizing among those who are supposed to defend their country.

The distraction of making love can be better handled with a good BACKGROUND CHECK! That’s right! We don’t want nutballs killing innocent civilians either!

Anyway, gays can be just as violent as heterosexual when it comes to being “jilted” by their lovers. (Although I cannot see how they can produce children with the same sex, love is evil when not reciprocated by the intended target, err, I meant, victim, no, “love interest”.)

So yeah, afford equality for benefits but damn those gays if they start screwing around with each other among more traditionally trained military personnel. Quit being so blantantly nasty in public! Some are not used to seeing the same sex make out – for crying out loud!

  • No Concern

“China and its people don’t care about others.”

    ~Maw last night during dinner…

This is true. Although they appear harmless and friendly, they continue their traditional ways of annoying others. We can see in their behaviors. I’ve got a few examples:

  • Hugs and Kisses

“You are an angel of mercy.”

    ~A good folk…

In the body of the email response, I actually had to research the meaning of “xoxoxoxo” online and found the “best answer”:

What is the meaning of “XOXO” which people write in letters and messages etc.?

HUGS AND KISSES is a term for a sequence of the letters X and O, e.g. XOXO, typically used to express affection or good friendship at the end of a written letter or email.

Some celebrities sign an autograph and add “xoxo” to their signature in order to express love to a fan.

I happen to be his fan – a long-distance one to boot. Nonetheless, I felt it was the “right” thing to do after a few months of financial “hiatus”. If I’m not on the right path, someone needs to give me a “heads-up” because I’m not always listening to my head (the reality of financial morose) as much as I should my heart (free willy).

Here is an image showing the date/time stamp of my original message:

    111 - 144 11-24-10
    Time Stamp 11:14:42AM

If you can see the tiny image, there is the familiar number 144, plus a triple 111 in the time stamp alone or three four’s and a couple of two’s.

Bottom-line: I’d like to wish everyone Happy (or Grumpy) Thanksgiving!

  • New Leaf

You know the figurative speech to:

    turn over a new leaf

    • Fig. to begin again, fresh; to reform and begin again. (Fig. on turning to a fresh page. The leaf is a page—a fresh, clean page.)
    • to start behaving in a better way
    • to start behaving in a different way

    Well, in recent news:

Nissan Leaf to get equivalent of 99 miles per gal
By KEN THOMAS, Associated Press Ken Thomas, Associated Press – 1 hr 10 mins ago

WASHINGTON – Nissan’s new electric car, the Leaf, will get the equivalent of 99 miles per gallon in combined city and highway driving, based on government testing.

Actually, I still want a hover-craft. In the meantime, I’ll keep dreaming of owning a new car. But my 1998 Ford Mustang still runs well enough. I don’t know how much longer the power train will last.

The Really Strange Story Behind Sunday’s Blue Moon

The full moon of November arrives on Sunday and will bring with it a cosmic addition: It will also be a so-called “blue moon.”

“Seven times in 19 years there were – and still are – 13 full moons in a year. This gives 11 months with one full moon each and one with two. This second in a month, so I interpret it, was called Blue Moon.”

[…] under the original Maine Almanac rule – the one promoted by Lafleur and later misinterpreted by Pruett – the third full moon of the 2010 fall season on Nov. 21 would be a blue moon.

So what Blue Moon definition tickles your fancy? Is it the second full moon in a calendar month, or (as is the case on Sunday) the third full moon in a season with four?

Gee! No wonder there will be a dedication ceremony for a newly renovated temple! It’s viral superstition!

  • Temple Dedication

Last week, I’ve learned of a renovation being done by many “interested parties” for the:

    Laie Hawaii Temple

Laie Hawaii Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) located on the northeast shore of the Hawaiian island of Oʻahu.

Service is tomorrow, Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 2:00PM and 6:00PM. The dedication ceremonies will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at 9:00AM, 12:00PM (noontime) and 2:00PM. After the dedication ceremonies, the temple will be closed to the public until after the next 30 or 40 years.

The parking lot has been full of people. I would have loved to have visited this once in a lifetime opportunity and at the same time visit someone I’ve missed for so many years. But I figured only “specially treated” people are ever allowed inside this architectural wonder.

  • Triple Votes

“Who do you want for president?”

    ~VERY brief cellphone conversations with a “friend”…

If I recollect over the course of ten slong years, I have verbally VOTED for George W. Bush twice and for Barack Hussein Obama once. But my election ballots went to the opposite candidates. Do you see how flaky this voting process can get? It’s far from fraud folks. I would like winners and no losers as you can see. And as per my readings online, both sides of the political arena are related to each other! So “my family” stays in business.

So far, the “progress” of my “ideal expectations” have been met as expressed via this WordPress.com weblog. I give TPTB a wink and a nod from behind the scenes, of course. It’s far from Communism folks.

I can see how each politician has played the assigned roles well. There is really nothing “evil” going on. Only the blind would watch and listen to main stream media and believe every word spewed forth from the well-paid talking heads.

    As per recent news:

G-20 refuses to back US push on China’s currency
By VIJAY JOSHI, Associated Press Vijay Joshi, Associated Press – Fri Nov 12, 4:09 pm ET

SEOUL, South Korea – Leaders of 20 major economies on Friday refused to back a U.S. push to make China boost its currency’s value, keeping alive a dispute that raises fears of a global trade war amid criticism that cheap Chinese exports are costing American jobs.

“Leaders are putting the best face on matters by suggesting that it is the process that matters rather than results,” said Stephen Lewis, chief economist for London-based Monument Securities.

“The only concrete agreement seems to be that they should go on measuring the size of the problem rather than doing something about it.”

Truly, the process matters more than the results. When the cogwheels are greased properly, the results will follow through properly. I can see “progress” is going well, too. Oh, but when critical mass has been reached and before irreparable damages have been done, something will be done to FIX the problem – no matter the size.

Stocks sink as Cisco’s outlook disappoints
By STEPHEN BERNARD, AP Business Writer Stephen Bernard, Ap Business Writer – 1 hr 7 mins ago

NEW YORK – Stocks tumbled Thursday after a disappointing outlook from Cisco Systems Inc. rattled a market already on edge as an economic summit of world leaders got under way in South Korea.

“Cisco is clearly a tech benchmark,” said Philip Dow, director of equity strategy at RBC Wealth Management. “With a second disappointment in a row, people are questioning if their business model is broken.”

Cisco’s shortfall an omen for rest of tech world

SAN FRANCISCO – A gloomy outlook from Cisco Systems Inc. is shaking some investors’ faith in the strength of the technology industry’s recovery. “The economic environment is still very difficult,” he said.

“Unemployment remains high. That hasn’t been solved.”He added that “one quarter is too early to call a trend, but it definitely raises a red flag.”

Well, there goes my temp job from hell. After all, I work in Silicon Valley.

Paw was excited and asked if I had my camera to take a photo of his odometer. He noticed the number turned just as he made a left turn into MY road en route to that morning’s mass. I took a lot of photos, which were mostly blurry because the light was too dim and the flash was too bright.

  • Big Bad

Last night in OPEN forum discussion board about conspiracy, I read a topic about big banks (Chase, BofA, Wells and pals) having “system closure” nationwide and how people cannot transact – use their food/welfare stamps. Other people were able to withdraw limited cash, use their credit cards and debit card and transact online. The point is to have cash on hand: Cash in your checks and stash it away in case there is not enough worthless, Fed money to withdraw in times of need.

Obama calls India creator, not poacher, of US jobs
By BEN FELLER, AP White House Correspondent Ben Feller, Ap White House Correspondent
Sat Nov 6, 2:27 pm ET

MUMBAI, India – Searching for help half a world away, President Barack Obama on Saturday embraced India as the next jobs-creating giant for hurting Americans, not a cheap-labor rival that outsources opportunity from the United States.

I don’t know how big banks having system problems during Saturday coincides with Obama going to India. In one of my blog entries, some Muslims are “disguised” as South Asian Indians. Anyway, that’s another creepy thought considering how these groups of people excel in computer programming and its literature.
