Welp, I do NOT know WTF I’m doing with this self-hosted site!

It’s bare bones – no plug-ins and no extra do-hickeys found had I stayed with the free platform where I thought the happiness engineers would be helpful!

Either way does NOT make sense or matter unto moi! I give up!

I clicked on my PHP Admin. Lo and behold I can see stuff from the year 2009! I do NOT know if this wpcomstaging version is just a test run to see if I understand SQL, PHP and the like!

Nope! I don’t have the patience! That’s why I’ll continue to complain and whine that TPTB and nefarious palz are giving us these damned junk technology.

All I envisioned was having my files ready to transfer and upload into my site! But I can see NO SFTP credentials whatsoever on the self-hosted site!

I managed to connect but NOT transfer. So that’s why I gave up trying to work with this website host. I should try a different host to see if all this clutter can go away!

I’m NOT gonna even try to read those damned online documentations. When I do NOT see the process does NOT appear on my site or just simply does NOT match up with the instructions, that means it’s a NO good and NO go.

I wanted to try blogging with only HTML but I can’t see to figure that out yet! I really don’t care for the layout or extra plug-ins or overly exaggerated efforts of features that I do NOT need or use!

So I give up! I don’t care for blogging or following or reading or listening to stuff online! Earlier the lights wanted to flicker off during our late supper on/about 2000 pm local time. I was in the middle of warming up the food.

That’s why if I really wanna go off-grid: That’s impossible, because I’ve invested and wasted too much on you damn thieves giving us false hopes and ruined dreams and freakishly junk technology that does NOTHING for the soul!

It’s only eye candy or ear pufferies! I’ve had it! I’ll let everything expire and stop paying into this charade! No more free-handouts or donations to nowhere because I’m going nowhere with his blog entry, too!

Phooey on y’all! The app for phone is limited for the self-host but VERY well-supported for the free version!

Okay, I think I’m finished tweaking the appearance/layout of my self-hosted site here at WordPress.org instead of myFlynnsPaws site at WordPress.com.

I’ve modeled the general appearance/layout after Automattic.org for the header and footer, both of which show a “linear” format containing the same navigation menu, which surprisingly is stable.

In the past few months since inception on/around April 2022 this year, I was having a difficult time adding and creating menus. Everything so far seem much better using the WordPress Version 6.0.2 instead of the free stuff.

Unfortunately, my free stuff site has my other domains, which nobody visits anyways because there are tons of sites that are NOT censored.

I was thinking of transferring all my other domains under a main host site and then yeet those mirrors sites, which I have NOT yet envisioned on how to repurpose.

So last night, I edited my Twatter profile to show my location AND the main/primary weblog site.

Also, last night, I installed a “lite” app version for stats insight reporting and linked that stuff to my Google analytics. So far it’s only showing zero, nada, zilch, none.

Whatever. I’ll continue to show blog and rant here. In the past I was a prick about stats and was addicted to the health of my weblog by forcing readings to “read more” on excerpts of no more than 25 words.

Now I’ve decided – what the heck – I’ll show the full blog post entries on the feed instead of being a scrooge of only showing excerpts or snippets of my incoming thoughts.

Okay, I’m back to my OLD self of tweaking my weblog. This time the Theme is called Seedlet. Y’all know, like spreading the seeds of unity and/or discord?

I’ve tried several “minimal” themes to my dissatisfaction and so the installed themes were deleted from my site. This method helps to reduce the “error” messages that come with running a self-hosted site.

I always wanted to run a self-hosted site but needed a host to thrive. Like I said I’ve been using the free site for many slong years and this is probably the first/best attempt of pushing my own stuff.

Sure I liked the conveniences of the host maintaining the plug-ins. But I got too overwhelmed with the various features. Here, I’m feeling more calm without the distractions of stats, which were my addiction to check constantly on the health of my site.

Nonetheless, this is as far I’ll go with trying to “blog” – by staying put somewhere and NOT plugging in my sentiments elsewhere, only to delete my comments and general feedbacks.

I don’t know if it’s rude to “self-destruction” my comments on other sites. But I do it anyway to keep everything thats OFF-TOPIC from sidetracking or deviating from the main topic of the podcaster, which as mostly crazy stuff.

Yeah, so today was VERY relaxing and my next, shoulders, back, joints and whatever else is deteriorating in my body are pretty much pain-free! Blessings I guess or a couple of supplements that I’ve been up-taking in the past few days. I do NOT know.

Anyways, I’ll rant here and see how everything shakes out. I like the monthly fee and NOT being locked in annually like the other sites! That’s expensive and will let those domains expire.

It does NOT make sense to upgrade to features and plugins for a small-time blogger like me. Only the professionals and wealthier folks can afford the time and money to undertake such communication endeavors.

Okay, I’ll stop now and I must quench my thirst. Goodnight! My elderly father and I will probably be awake this two or three o’clock to view the televised “funeral/burial” of the scary queen.

Yeah, so I came home after picking up my Product Red smartphone cover (new), a funny shirt (Eww, people) and grocery of beef stuff. I missed returning a used phone cover with two damaged corners in hopes of saving ten bucks because the hours of operation closes at 5pm.

The whole morning I was learning how to manage my domain name, email, web hosting and the like. There are still way TOO many online documentations to read and learn. I like my original registrar because the fonts, documentations, support is good enough.

Plus the monthly fee is really a good deal and my WordPress.org site does NOT have any complicated plug-ins or whatnots like stats, which help to gauge the health of my site, which is really just ranting here instead of on Twatter.

Before leaving for this late afternoon errands, I was tweaking the layout/theme and rediscovered that I barely remember how to code CSS stylesheets! I cheated and copy/pasted old CSS codes from my saved documents from wayback.

I had to choose the most “minimal” theme and this works fine for the better layout of just one-columns, which hopefully automatically responds to different devices, such as desktops, tablets/pads, and phones. I think the margin should be set to either “auto” or “100%”. See? Me smart long time!

Alas, nobody cares to visit and NOT even the spooky spooks. I’ve laid out my breadcrumbs by editing my Twatter profile but nobody seems to notice. This is good; so I could continue to colorize my weblog, which is currently set to whitish.

This is probably the first time using the WordPress.org/self-hosted site. Since 2006 whenever, I’ve been using the WordPress.com/hosted site. But I was VERY critical of these alleged followers and the engineers were NOT helpful but like I said online, THEY just referred me back to the online documentions.

So I’ve had it with the free stuff and opted for this admin stuff. I still have to learn more about DNS stuff but that will take time. I prefer “window dress” and making my blog look pretty. I like the cursive fonts instead of the boring sans-serif, straight-away letterings.

That’s it for now! I’m gonna improve what really is only bare-bones basic appearances. It’s the content that matters most.

And just like that, I’m fully awake after logging in this newest sixth username!

I’m like that: sleeping for a couple of hours then blogging for twice that time until back to sleep.

I think just blogging straight without worrying about proper grammar or correct spelling could make some happy some of the time.

With this Minimalist theme, I get my blog done in no time at all. Just me lying down in bed while doing off to sleep.

Well, good morning, y’all! I’ve did a funny a few hours ago!

I yeeted my domain name and brought it back to its original hosting platform, which has a low-cost feature for self-hosting with WordPress.org! In other words, I’m finished with the free-hosting with WordPress.com!

I know I lost the cost of one year but I could NOT take it anymore! I needed my alias emails returned!

I’ve already renamed most of my online accounts with its own “Hide My Email” addresses. I was trying to reduce the number of logins under my main Gmail account. So now I have lots of alias emails under my other account.

With my domain name returned to its origins, I can now create a lot more alias emails, which are now reduced to about a couple of hundreds.

I’ve been requesting to “Delete my account” because I no longer visit those OLD web sites. These logins are placed in an Inactive folder in case I may need to go back and whack it back down and far, far away.

I now have four active emails with dad’s email straggling along. So that’s five emails to maintain plus the hundreds of logins online.

Thankfully, most of the websites allow users to maintain the accounts without submitting requests or making calls. Some are one-time shopping sites or small businesses or non-profits which are notorious for NOT following-up due to limited resources. Some websites are OLD and already yeeted.

So I hope y’all will read my rants here as I ween myself away from Twatter. That’s it for now. I chose a minimalistic theme for my blog. Because I already have five mirror sites that nobody visits obviously.
