  • 20100904-Trying Theme

I’ve changed WordPress.com themes again. This time is the VERY plain-looking one:

Sandbox 0.6.1 by Andy Skelton & Scott Allan Wallick

A theme with powerful, semantic CSS selectors and the ability to add new skins.

I’m tempted to buy the CSS upgrade again. But as mentioned in my previous blog entry, I would never be satisfied with the layout no matter what colors, fonts, backgrounds, etc. I happen to use to `liven` up my weblog.

I’m using the `Three-Column Minimalist` style with two right sidebars. I noticed that most web browsers (when minimized) are viewed starting from the left. The rest of the screen to the right can be viewed by using the scrollbar located at the bottom of the web browser. However, the embedded YouTube.com videos don’t `auto-adjust` to the width of the `content` element. And that’s a bummer!

  • Aliens Here

Maw and I just finished watching Race to With Mountain (2009) on STARZ channel for Kids and Family. The story goes: Jack Bruno (Dwayne Johnson), hooks up with Dr. Alex Friedman (Carla Gugino) and helps two stranded `ALIEN` siblings –  Sara (AnnaSophia Robb) and Seth (Alexander Ludwig) – find their space ship located inside Witch Mountain while trying to escape the clutches of Henry Burk (Ciarán Hinds), the `bad man in black` and an assassin sent by the home planet to stop the children from returning home.

Earlier this morning I saw CNN’s Don Lemon and another lady talking about alien invasions and people dressed up in their favorite science fiction or fantasy characters at a convention called Dragoncon, which is  located in Atlanta, Georgia (USA) on 2010-09-03. So this morning’s talk show on ALIENS and tonight’s `free movie` about ALIENS show to me that these events are no mere co-incidence.

It’s just another wake up call to the general public that ALIENS have been around for a very long time. Some appear in the guise as humans (in convention costumes or flesh); while some are in various forms of `wildlife` – animals, plants and minerals. If only people will open their minds and realize that the Biblical phase: “LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF” really holds true. For one cannot be certain if the entities living on this planet are really ALIENS!!!

Oh and by the way: The Jack Bruno character of that movie has the initial alluding to my J.B. – a VERY telepathic (government agent or ALIEN) encounter via Yahoo! Messenger. You may already know of his poems to me. These are copied and saved into my WordPress.com weblogs here. He can `read beyond the lines`, if you know what I mean. And he is no ordinary `Eric wink` either.

  • Pull It

Back in 1995, the four of us visited the Philippines for the second and last time. I recall my first cousin, Juani, joking with his right index finger. He said to me:

    “Pull it!”

So I did, not realizing that upon `pulling it` – his finger, he farted! But I didn’t hear the fart or understood what that joke meant until later on. I thought he meant something else.

Fast forward to 2001, I recall a cellphone conversation. He said:

    “They deserved it!”

Now I had to ask: “What?” once because of my bad hearing. He said that same line the second time with a stammer and spitting sound. I didn’t dare ask for explanation. It was as if he, too, was a little bit frustrated.

After awakening from my three hour afternoon nap about one hour ago, I viewed the following YouTube.com video a few minutes ago:

Building 7 Collapse Compilation (no sound) by BuildingWhat on September 01, 2010.

    I researched online:

Was the term “PULL IT” and industry term prior to 9/11?

“The term “pull it” means pull it over. The term isn’t used much today, because of the modern equipment used by demolition contractors.”

I saw the words DEMOLITION and CONTRACTORS. Was it FIRE or CONTROLLED DEMOLITION? I believe `controlled demolition` could be the answer to explain why the 9/11 event has been created by TPTB, whether for Satanic rituals and sacrifices of human lives, animals, plants and minerals.

I don’t know folks. I would rather believe the the folks in the building and architecture business as well as demolition experts instead of highly paid government-sponsored shills of the network media, who continue to shift attention away from the truth and focus blame to Muslims for these alleged terrorist attacks.

But the question remains: Why all the lies and deceits?

Don’t you think people like moi would be `a little bit frustrated` to not know the entire truth? Yep.

  • Nice Day

This morning was cloud. Then as usual at around 10:00am, the fog departed and out comes Mr. Sunshine. The skies are crispy and blue and the winds blow very cool. We awoke and ate breakfast then started laundry and cleaning the backyard, mostly using the electric blower for one week’s debris of eucalyptus branches and twigs.

The parakeets are in good spirits and are starving because they are so used to being spoiled rotten and do not know how to forage at the bottom of another cage, which is black. They know the spray of millet seeds is located there and yet they just don’t get it.

Maw is busing herself with sewing projects and Paw is doing his usual routine.

  • 20100904-Trying Theme

I’ve changed WordPress.com theme again. This time it’s:

    Oulipo by A. Mignolo

A clean grid-based theme with fixed navigation which comes in light and dark variants. Featuring a custom menu, background, and header image for subtle customization; all while allowing the focus to remain on the content.

Again, I like to try different layouts but still prefer the TIME STAMPS viewable on the front page and archive mode. The fonts appear small and the background is a nice buttery yellow again.

  • Feeding Souls

After taking another watery dump a few minutes ago, my thumb rifted through the pages of my favorite book and landed on page 115 again. So I sent another blessing in kind a few minutes ago as intended because of the Labor Day weekend.

Earlier this week my mind wondered and asked: “What is my soul’s purpose here and now?” Of course, while taking a dump that time, I read my favorite book and my fingers rifted through the precious pages and landed on page 47, which is Chapter 7  for Students. So does that make me a student for eternity. Heck no!

Anyway, page 48 gave me the answers in three simple, bullet details (in my own words/interpretations):

    • learn from your;
    • karmic experiences; and
    • let your heart bloom in the process.

So, yeah. I’ve not learned much from my karmic debt of handling my finance well enough except follow through my thoughts with good deeds and ask forgiveness for ranting VERY loudly every day to those who know me!

  • Backdoor Wallflower

After saying goodbye to a couple of people I know and waving goodbye to a couple of strangers who cared to look my way, I discovered my purpose here that the temp job from hell. I’m a wallflower to the backdoor!

    9. Wallflower

Someone who chooses to observe, instead of experience life.

They know a lot about people, what they are truthfully like, how they actually act when they think no one is paying attention.

Since people have little interest in wallflowers, they usually know a lot about people. The good and the bad.

Wallflowers are not mean, or impolite. They are usually pleasant, and respectful- just shy and/or introverted.

Nontheless, people tend to use the word “wallflower” negatively. What a shame.

    Office lady

An office lady, often abbreviated OL (Japanese: オーエル Ōeru), is a female office worker in Japan who performs generally pink collar tasks such as serving tea and secretarial or clerical work. Like many unmarried Japanese, OLs often live with their parents well into early adulthood. Office ladies are usually full-time permanent staff, although the jobs they do usually have little opportunity for promotion, and there is usually the tacit expectation that they leave their jobs once they get married.

Often nicknamed shokuba no hana or “office flower”, these women suffered discrimination due to the M-Curve.

So does that mean I’m pretty? Not in the least but rather plain looking. Must I wear make-up? Sure! Why not? I must learn to put on a happy face, too! Maybe I’ll put a flower or plant to liven up the place and start bringing in the donuts and bagels, too!

    Konichiwa! Ohaiyogozaimasu! Bai! Bai! Sayonara!

  • Open Ended

So while listening to Mike talk about living arrangements in relationships, my heart cringed at the fact that one party would date multiple partners. While the traditional female wants more in the world to bear her man’s child, my heart equally cringed at the fact that some guys are not committed or dedicated enough to raise a family.

Women who force a man to procreate are idiots and they should do their `research` before submitting themselves to men who are pretty much selfish or `free-loving`. While she waits, he wanders. While she ages, he parties. Women, like her, should take a hint and go find a more suitable partner in life who has the qualities of a man who is able to take care of children. The rest is just dogs and boys forever.

Ideally, it’s easier on the children when two parental units are present in a monogamous lifestyle. It’s equally sad to see either party suffer in bold silence when SACRIFICING their independence for their loved ones. I see marriage as an inconvenience, basically.

  • Nice Lunch

So Mike, Charissa, Hoan and I went out to eat lunch at the `Sourdough Eatery`. It was behind a credit union where I withdrew money for some gasoline money and the $6.99 lunch:

Item # 6. PASTRAMI, LEAN, MILD & TASTY

97% FAT FREE, NO MSG, NATURALLY SMOKED WITH HICKORY CHIPS AND WTH SWISS CHEESE. (INCLUDES COMPLIMENTARY SLICE OF PICKLE).

The place is nice and lucscious, full of life and of tall old trees and hanging plants. After finishing our sandwiches, telling about ourselves and cracking jokes at around 1:20pm, I touched the plants in greetings. They are so cool, comfortable and happy, too.

There is even an old Jalopy, a rusty old Ford T-model-like automobile sitting out in the back area. Inside the sandwhich shops are paintings waiting to be sold and other antiques.

The old VERY blond lady at the cash register looked out-dated, almost a throw back in hair, make-up and clothing of the traditional era of 1950’s housewives or the OK Corral. She’s been there for around 30 years.

  • Anthropomorphic Women

En route to the restrooms, I saw a older-looking, barrel-shaped, white woman with golden highlights in her hair strutting haughtily on her high heels. I wondered to myself how could her little feet proudly carry such weight and how could her back hold those big racks? As I blog, I see a chocolate, Eskimo ice cream bar on a wooden stick.

Of course, I wiggled my big butt like a model and laughed to myself and covered my mouth with both hands as two images of animals came to mind: a pig and a chimpanzee. Of course, I saw them wearing red lipsticks and high heels, too. It’s funny to see humans try to look beautiful by `dressing up`.

  • 20100903-Trying Theme

I’ve changed the WordPress.com theme. This time it’s:

    Coraline by Automattic

A squeaky-clean theme featuring a custom menu, header, background, and layout. Coraline supports 7 widget areas (up to 3 in the sidebar, four in the footer) and featured images (thumbnails for gallery posts and custom header images for posts and pages). It includes styles for print and the Visual Editor, special styles for posts in “Asides” and “Gallery” categories, and has an optional full-width page template that removes the sidebar.

What I like about this particular theme (sans my preferred TIME STAMP) are the `Theme Options`:

    • Two color schemes of either `light` or `dark`.
    • Five default layouts of `contents` and `sidebars`.
    • Two categories for `aside` and `gallery`.

For the background, one could choose to upload an image or display a color, which is a soft-buttery yellow for mine. Yummy, butter!

For the header, one could choose to upload an image of 990 by 180 pixels or choose from three images:

    • water-drops (of blues and greens);
    • limestone-cave (of blacks and golds); or
    • cactii (of browns and yellows), which I choose.

Plus, the theme `auto-adjusts` for smaller screens, which is currently squooshed to hide my addiction at my SLOW-paced temp job from hell.

There is a widget for displaying a `featured text`, which contains my golden-disk `gravatar` of golden yellow and orange, along with a description of my blog. There are four bottom widgets, too!

  • Two Accidents

Yesterday, I was on the NB HWY 101 for 45 friggin’ minutes from 8:30am to 9:15am. It was supposed to a normal commute of only 1/2 mile in length and because of an accident off Lawrency Expressway, which is farther up north, I had to come in later and of course leave later! I hate that!

After work, I drove homebound only to encounter another fender at the railroad intersection! Unbelievable! The two-door sedan had its left engine block smashed and the fender pieces of white, styrofoam material was astrew on the road in front of the car.

Two people were on stretchers. I saw one was a deeply tanned and skinny old man and the other one is probably his wife. The second vehicle was up on the center divide of smooth stone works with its right fender area smashed. She appeared to be an elderly woman with nice top and matching white colored slacks and shoes.

So Maw walked two blocks SLOWLY for five minutes to take a look with me from the shade of a corner street light until the infamous MATOS tow truck came to haul the broken vehicle.

Later during dinner, we figured out that the couple ran the red street light at high speed, just as the old woman was making a left into their lane, which is the right of only two lanes. That’s how the fender got clipped off.

I assumed/visulized they were in a hurry to see their grandchildren. Anyway, I took pictures of the SJFD truck and the scene, a blurry one with a moving vehicle and an up close shot of just the broken car.
