  • 20060729-Cleared Love

A thirteenth poem to JB of Florida in response to five more poems of his to me…

Who is that fine guy with softest brown eyes?
Through the windows of his soul, she could see.
True love pulls into the driveway at night.
New hopes arise where parking is free.

What has she done for him to thank her more?
Gut feelings allowed her belief in him.
Cut to the chase with a place in his heart.
But the price is going out on a limb.

When did they first meet as good friends online?
Pen for poems and flowers for her worked.
Amen to both hearts as the busy days
begins to grow, learn and heal where love lurked.

Where is his woman? He prayed to the Lord.
There she is waiting for him to come and
share what lovers do under the covers.
Prepare the handmaid with His guiding hand.

Why live alone without the love from a
guy who serves an unknown purpose? And yet
by being open and honest he will
try to love his woman with no regrets.

How is this project a worthy new phase?
Now is a new time of planting His seeds.
Plow through the high walls that set us apart.
Vow to start together with loving needs.

First attempt at combining lento and five W’s (with a ‘How’ question)…

P.S. I know you people are gauging my reaction to daily events… psyche!

  • 20060726-A Poem to Flynn

    God give me more love
    for my tender wife Cecil.
Give me patience that lovers keep.
Give me strength to love when sad.
    Give me happiness over sorrow.

    God give me the will
    never to disappoint her.
Give me the skills I need
to earn for her the happiness she deserves.
Give me the charms to delight her body,
enlighten me to stir her soul.

    Lord Jesus give me
    the love of Cecil
    and I’ll ask you
    for nothing more.

  • 20060721-A Poem to Flynn

We started out as flirting friends
And got to know each others hearts
Helped each others pain to mend
The love that grew overwhelmed me

Still amazes me when I consider it
No matter how busy my day may get
I think of you but for a moment and
    Love for you overwhelms me

  • 20060721-Garrett’s Poem

A poem from a JB to Flynn.

The time we’re together is special and sweet
    My heart skips and jumps
Each time we both chat online.
    Your eyes like the oceans,
    Your lips like a rose,
    Your beauty is forever,
    It always shows.
    Our love growing stronger,
    Each night and each day
    Together forever,
    Is where we will stay

  • 20060720-Dog Gone!

Begone! Oh, Love from my cold heart.
Come! Oh, Death and silence my heart.

    Smile of beauty sweetly betrayed.
Come! Oh, Death and silence my heart.

    Charm by magic crossly cheated.
Come! Oh, Death and silence my heart.

A thief of hearts bravely deceived.
Come! Oh, Death and silence my heart.

Men for love or money entrapped.
Come! Oh, Death and silence my heart.

First attempt at ghazal and dark (with of fine example of being damned)…

Author’s personal note: I still HATE you all!

  • 20060719-A Poem to Flynn

I LOVE U MY ANGEL AND I CAN’T WAIT TO BE WITH YOU…
YOUR LOVE IS ALL WHAT I WANT TO BE WITH..
HOPE U WILL LIKE THIS LITTLE POEM OF MINE.

    Sitting in my car
    waiting for a light
    can’t wait to get home
and be with you all night.

    Pull into the drive
    put the car in park
    just can’t wait
to lay next to you in the dark.

    Wrap my arms around
    holding you so tight
as you snuggle next to me
I hold you through the night.

  • 20060718-A Poem to Flynn

A Love that is more than I could imagine
    Alone after all
    Not looking for love again
There was once a time of end
    Of void and null
A time of none to spend
A life of conflict and hateful
There a time for death to call
    My soul loss the deal
A time to hope I would feel
    That should I live after
    A white picket fence
I would come home to forever
The 8 to 5 would be so easy
    The lonely survivor feel
    Would be over
    Now I knew that life
Would not come to be ever
    I would know love
    Not in completeness
My time of learning long, diverse
A life alone but for my kids
    A life lived in sets
    My own terms no regrets
I had no knowing of you
    Meeting you like many others
Seemed so simple fun with you
Hold you at arms length, no pains
    Not looking anyways
    Having long learned and diverse
To keep my thoughts honest, open
And free to others minds I feel
I needed only to have my butt busted
To see the courage I knew couldn’t exist
    My eyes blown open
To see you are not like the rest
Now that I have found you
Did I just lose this Lioness
    With my thoughts
    Racing, she likes you
Or she would not be like this
    An end of beginnings
    Of new yearnings
To know only more of you
Resistant I knew you would be
    You are like me
Common of much trying just for you to see
Life on your own, learning long and diverse
    You didn’t need me
    Certainly not close
    You preferred friends for love
    Keep them at arms length
A wall to keep them, no pains
A very high wall did I traverse
    Little did you know
The love you allowed to grow
    Brought a mighty wall down
    All of it’s own
    My wall I kept secret
    No more willing to admit
    Than you, I’ve grown
To love more than I could imagine
    The little things you’ve seen
The love in your eyes I’ve seen
Your love is now the glue that holds
    My heart together
Your love is the light that guides
You have given me back my soul
Now we are all of each other
    Now I know heaven is
    Wherever you are
    You stand beside me
    When life is hard
    You don’t run away
    You amaze me
    You are so beautiful
It’s not possible to measure my Love
To look for one good woman
To be worth more than all the gold or power
    In the universe
    And find such greatness
So far beyond that is so much more
Than a love I could imagine

We can’t help you. You’re on your own.
There’s nothing left. Repay our loan!
    We relied on your guarantee.
The time has come to set us free!

    Payment has been long overdue.
Recourse may be for us to sue.
There may be a retainer’s fee.
The time has come to set us free!

We must believe you’re our friend.
We expect you’d hold up your end.
Our hope is for us to agree
The time has come to set us free!

When one’s good faith is based on trust,
true friends are not left in disgust.
Level with us so we can See
The time has come to set us free!

  • 20060713-A Poem to Flynn

Here is poem i composed for you while on plane

    Lying besides you silently,
    Your lips pressed against mine
    The Aroma of tobacco,
    Intoxicating,
    Filling my nostrils.

    Your fingers playing,
    With my hair,
    And mine with yours,
    The warmth of your touch,
    Firing my emotions.

    Legs entangled,
    Arms encircled,
    Enticing, heavenly,
    We break free,
    happily.

  • 20060709-Why Cry?

A tenth poem to JB of Florida…

Who was the man that made her cry?
Her time has come to go away.
One angel of His has to fly.
Her heart felt this was all a play.
Her true love led her heart astray.
She asked her lonely self: ‘What now?’
She stayed indoors and pined all day.
Her answer was a silent vow.

The angels in heaven asked: ‘Why?’
His gaze met theirs with silent dismay.
    She left without saying goodbye.
Her hope was gone like her bouquet.
The price of love was His to pay.
He asked forlornly: ‘Where is she?’
He searched for his true love all day.
His answer was on bended knee.

  • 20060709-Dried Flowers

A ninth poem to JB of Florida…

Where are my flowers you cold hearted cad?
It’s been over two weeks and now I’m mad.
My heart is broken and I’m feeling sad.
May I rest in peace and hope you are glad.

My flowers are missing or may be lost.
I dreamt of green flowers and white flake frost.
Please be aware it’s my heart that you cost.
May I rest in peace; my feelings were tossed.

Flowers you meant to send have not arrived.
Your poems for now is what made me thrived.
My unhappy heart has left me deprived.
I’m six feet under knowing I survived.

First attempt at epitaph (with three earthly samples)…

  • 20060708-Finder’s Love

A seventh poem to JB of Florida in response to his fourth poem to me…

Has your love been forever strong?
Who is this angel without wings?
Have the stars played our wedding song?
Where did you get those blessed rings?

Am I the one within your dreams?
I am the one to make you scream.
My heart will unlock with your key.
My new found love will set you free.

An eighth poem to JB of Florida in response to his fifth poem to me…

What is this heartfelt bond in life?
Could this be true? Am I for you?
How is it that I am your wife?
Am I the one with eyes of blue?

Am I the one with her of gold?
My heart is your future to hold.
I am the one to make you whole.
I love you as my blessed goal.

First attempt at rispetto (with two examples)…

Bam! Two small but poetic masterpieces by Flynn to express love between two hearts separated by miles of wide open spaces… Stay tuned for more mysterious interludes as a guitar plucks the tune of hope…
