Simple Man – Lynyrd Skynyrd – Lyrics HD by ClassicSong3

Honestly, I might be a minority of those humanz (my age I guess and nationality) that happens to love these classic rock’ songs. Yes, there’s something familiar about the musical genre. Oh, I finally I get to ‘see’ the lyrics and the beau

  • 20110415-Donating Away

Well, I found some old picture frames — either metallic or wooden, hanging or standing, from one wooden cabinet and in another hexagon-shaped cabinet I see some old piano/guitar books and sheet music! I feel like throwing all those away! But I cannot seem to throw away one memento from a former piano teacher. In this one book she wrote the following on the inside front cover:

    Oct 1, 1976

    Dear Fxxxxxx,

    I have enjoyed teaching you.
Indeed – it was a pleasure.
Go on! Continue! You have the
    gift not given to all.
    Sight read this book.
Wish to hear you sometime again.
    Good luck —

    Always,

When I’m feeling down or up, I hardly listen to modern music because the lyrics have become rather REPETITIVE and lack substance, only songs about love, war and hate, and nothing but lies about the human conditions lacking in any moral characteristics.

If anything is worth listening, I would prefer happy, upbeat music — a cappella style, just the sounds of voices from a quartet singing in harmony — or even instrumental, like the sounds from orchestras, bands, or synthesizers.

Anything with a steady, rhythmic beat of the drum, the long pauses of bells chimes, or electronic interpretations of space and natural movements are other musical genre that I would like to hear when feeling down and out or happy up and up.

On the faster speed (or tempo), I would like the fast kinds that feel exhilirating as if flying above the clouds or sky diving towards the earth. Those types of music definitely raise my heart rate and give me the “high” to bounce back from feeling low.

On the opposite to a quick tempo, I would like the slow kinds that feels soothing as if lulling a baby to sleep or numbing the mind into meditation. Those absolutely reduces my heart rate and give me the “low” to reduce tension and stress levels.

Depending on my mood and how I’m feeling, hard rock music gives me the edge to drive faster behind the wheel, for example, and when I’m either angry or frustrated; while smooth jazz quites the soul to walk slower during my breaks, for example, and when I’m either sad or comtemplative.

Topic #51: When you’re feeling down, what music cheers you up? Bonus: why do you think this music has that effect? What music do you prefer when you’re very happy?

  • The Magic Fateball

I just asked the following question of `The Magic Fateball! – Shake it. Flip it. See it!`:

    “Will he keep his promises?”

    I then clicked the button:

    “fateball, activate!”

    It replied as:

    “YES DEFINITELY”

So, that’s a good thing, right? Prove it wrong! Meh!

    I then asked:

    “Will I be pretty?”

    It answered:

    “OUTLOOK NOT SO GOOD”

Next I wanted to find out:

    “Will I be rich?”

    It replied:

    “VERY DOUBTFUL”

`Que, sera, sera. Whatever will be, will. The future depends on me. Que, sera, sera`

  • Two Hands

Yesterday on Memorial Day and during breakfasts, Maw and Paw talked about their childhood. One of their remember songs from grade school was a song about hands. Maw sang the tune but forgot some of the words and Paw sang along to fill in the gaps while she demonstrated how with her hands as she best remembered.

Below is the Filipino version followed by the English translation in parenthesis.

    SAMPUNG MGA DALIRI
    Philippine Folk Song

SAMPUNG MGA DALIRI (I have two hands)
KAMAY AT PAA (A Left and a right)
DALAWANG TAINGA (I hold them up high)
DALAWANG MATA (So clean, so bright)

ILONG NA MAGANDA ( I Clap them softly)
MALILINIS NA NGIPIN (One, two, three)
MASARAP KUMAIN ( Two little hands)
DILANG MAGALING MAGSASABI (Are good to see)

    HUWAG KANG SINUNGALING (Don’t lie!)

  • 20100522-Independence Day

Yesterday, I was researching online what is the top of the hour song on `The Sean Hannity Show` on radio and came up with the following lyrics to:

    Artist : Martina Mcbride
    Song : Independence Day

Well she seemed alright by dawn’s early light
Though she looked a lil worried and weak
She tried to pretend he wasn’t drinking again
But Daddy left the proof on her cheek
And I was only eight years old that summer
And I always seemed to be in the way
So I took myself down to the fair in town
    On Independence Day…

Well, word gets around in a small, small town
They said he was a dangerous man
But Momma was proud, and she stood her ground
She knew she was on the losin’ end
Some folks whispered, some folks talked
But everybody looked the other way
And when time ran out there was no one about
    On Independence Day…

    Let freedom ring
    Let the white dove sing
Let the whole world know that today is the day of a reckoning
    Let the weak be strong
    Let the right be wrong
    Roll the stone away
    Let the guilty pay
    It’s Independence Day

Well, she lit up the sky that Fourth of July
By the time that the firemen come
They just put out the flames and took down some names
and sent me to the county home
    Now I ain’t sayin’ it’s right, or it’s wrong
But maybe it’s the only way
    Talk about your revolution
    It’s Independence Day…

    Let freedom ring
    Let the white dove sing
Let the whole world know that today is the day of a reckoning
    Let the weak be strong
    Let the right be wrong
    Roll the stone away
    let the guilty pay
    It’s Independence Day

    Roll the stone away…

    It’s Independence Day…

  • 20100511-Happy Heart

    Happy Heart
Artist: Andy Williams (peak Billboard position # 22 in 1969)
Music by Hans Last and Words by Jackie Rae

There’s a certain sound always follows me around
When you’re close to me you will hear it
It’s the sound that lovers hear when they discover
There could be no other for their love

    CHORUS
It’s my happy heart you hear
    Singing loud and singing clear
And it’s all because you’re near me, my love
    Take my happy heart away
Let me love you night and day
In your arms I wanna stay, oh my love

Feeling more and more like I’ve never felt before
You have changed my life so completely
Music fills my soul now, I’ve lost all control now
I’m not half, I’m whole now with your love

    CHORUS

    Repeat CHORUS with “La-la’s”

Repeat CHORUS with “La-la’s” and FADE

I recall being happy – so happy that every time I played the old vinyl 33 record, I would reach up with my right hand and pull open the blinds to the window of our apartment dwelling in a naval housing community. Of course, the sun was shining then and it continues to shine now. And because I’m feeling happy I’m sharing the lyrics to that of my favorite childhood song – Happy Heart.

This is one of my favorite songs from the early eighties and right out of college. It just brings back memories.

    After 7 – Ready Or Not by emiamericarecords — April 03, 2008

Here are the lyrics by L.A. Reid and Baby Face (Kenny Edmonds, songwriter):

    I’ll give you the sun
    The Rain
    The Moon
    The Stars and The Mountains
    I’ll give you the world
And all that you wish for
    And even more
Girl I love you more than you could know
    And that’s for sure
    I’d climb the highest hill
    Cross the widest sea
    Nothin could discourage me
And I pray that you will be
    Always there for me
    Forever more, ohh ohh ohh

    Chorus:
    Ready or not**
    I’ll give you everything
    and more
    All that I’ve got–it’s yours
    I’ll give you everything
    All that you’re looking for

    I’ll give you my heart
    My soul
    my time
    My love is a fountain
    I will be your earth
Oooo and all that you need for
    and even more
Cause girl I love you more than words can show

    My love is pure
    I’ll walk a thousand miles
    Sail a thousand seas
    Nothin will discourage me
And I pray that you will be
    Always there for me
    Forever more

Ready or Not–Don’t you know, don’t you know you should know?
    I’ll give you everything—ooooo
And more—I’ll give you more, you’ve got to know it baby.
All that I’ve got—baby it’s your little girl.
I’ll give you everything -– every little thing.
    All that you’re looking for.

    Oooohhh everything is not anything.
If your not here to share my dreams.
You don’t know what it means to me.
    If you’ll accept my love.

Oooohh I dedicate my love, my soul.
    My heart beats for you.
    Girl I can’t get enough
So I wait for your love
There’s nothing that I rather do–oooo ooooo IIII

    Repeat Chorus** 3x

At around 11:35pm, I just had a stray thought, logged into my YouTube.com account and saved the following video to Favorite:

    The 5th Dimension – Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In by bucolin — November 16, 2008

    Here are the lyrics:

(Words by James Rado and Gerome Ragni: Music by Galt MacDermot)

When the moon is in the Seventh House
    And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars
This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius
    Age of Aquarius
    Aquarius!
    Aquarius!

    Harmony and understanding
    Sympathy and trust abounding
    No more falsehoods or derisions
    Golden living dreams of visions
    Mystic crystal revelation
    And the mind’s true liberation
    Aquarius!
    Aquarius!

When the moon is in the Seventh House
    And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars
This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius
    Age of Aquarius
    Aquarius!
    Aquarius!
    Aquarius!
    Aquarius!

    [Instrumental and tempo shift]

Let the sunshine, let the sunshine in, the sunshine in
Let the sunshine, let the sunshine in, the sunshine in
Let the sunshine, let the sunshine in, the sunshine in

[Continue to end with concurrent scat]

    Oh, let it shine, c’mon
    Now everybody just sing along
    Let the sun shine in
Open up your heart and let it shine on in
When you are lonely, let it shine on
Got to open up your heart and let it shine on in
And when you feel like you’ve been mistreated
    And your friends turn away
Just open your heart, and shine it on in

    [Fade]
