  • 20070901-Pet Peeves

Repetition of action, words or deed:
Harvest and slaughter, as survival feed
Hail Mary, Our Father, Apostles’ Creed
    Drinking while driving, alcoholic need
Cigar or cigarette and smoking weed
    Shopping till dropping, fashionable bleed
Online blogs, forum chats, blind dating breed

    Detail-oriented, caring too much:
Nitpicking fuzz balls, ironing and such
    Nagging and whining, overdrive clutch
Complaining bad food, not paying go dutch
Keep everyone in place, mother hen clutch
Vice grip on freedom, painful to the touch
    Victimized train wreck, emotional crutch

    Nasty
to the five senses and beyond:
Serene to noisy, ripples in the pond
Rail thin to moo cow, feeding frenzy fond
Fleshy and bloody, waving magic wand
Speed up and slow down, sleepy traffic yawned
Young thugs to old farts, female or male bond
Soul suckers, lab ratters, aliens spawned

    All
    the confusion, shatter illusion:
No god to One kind, faithful infusion
    Social unity, lonely seclusion
    Blissful ignorance, knowledge diffusion
    Marriage to money, honey transfusion
    Loving and sharing, blessed conclusion
    Always pondering, all one delusion

Another attempt at a partial and forever incomplete ‘list poem’ (of three, seven-lined stanzas with ten syllables in the easy but my all time favorite rhyme scheme — monorhyme) about everything conceivably annoying to me – hum.

  • 20070703-Smelly Pickings

    Disco era music ticking
    Dancing, walking happy flicking
    Aerobic exercise tricking
    Karate punching and kicking
    Joints and parakeets sound clicking
    Stinky fluffy oily sticking
    Midnight shower salty licking

A healthy poetic alternative to pick away at high cholesterol.

  • 20070629-Clamour Time

    Where is my plastic hammer?
    Soft potato heads rammer
Speak to me! No more stammer
    Utilize proper grammar!
    Silence of the mute glamour?
    Marriage without love’s Amor?
    Truth by breaking heart slammer.

A poem describing ‘marriage on the rocks’ of seven-lined stanza with seven syllables in monorhyme.

  • 20070628-Reigning Daze

    Shaving hairy monkeyshines
    Creep out the crawling vines
    Run! Swine of no spines
    Roots in the brine
    Intertwine?
    Red wine
    Nein!

    ‘Abomination’ you say?
    Tolerance and the gray
    Green ones out to play
    Looking for prey
    Homeless stray
    No way!
    Pay.

    Burning Bush of worldwide crime
    Pruning off any climb
    Clearing dirt and grime
    And snaky slime
    Icy mime
    Sublime
    Prime

Three giant poems with descending syllables in monorhyme.

  • 20070622-Goodbye Losers!

Goodbye cruel world and flush me down!
To the toilet – watery brown
You taught me well – a talk of town
How to fake a laugh without a frown
Will not come back or come around
Laughing to the bank like a clown
Heart felt loving and open crown
Travel the world or wedding gown?

A poem of freedom from work with seven-lined stanzas in eight syllables.

  • 19990519-Blue Rose

    [slideshow]

    Prior 1-9-9-9 date
    Saint Therese prayer gate
Send my flower to God straight
    Online photo blue rose fate
    Open petals five times rate
    Looking at me without hate
    Lovely sharing by souls mate

A saintly poem of seven-lined stanza with seven syllables in monorhyme.

Author’s note: When I came across this online photo, I knew this blue rose was picked especially for Him through the following prayer:

‘St. Therese, the Little Flower, please pick me a rose from the heavenly garden and send it to me with a message of love; ask God to grant me the favor I thee implore and tell Him I will love Him each day more and more. Amen.’

  • 20070505-Blessed Realm

    God loves to discriminate.
    Egg first then chicken debate
Fleece white snow or gray slate
Set her curves against his straight.
    Religious dogmas and state
Childlike mind to old fart rate
    Nature and nurture create

    God loves to recriminate.
    Breaking the covenant’s crate
    Anger, jealousy and hate
    Idol worship desecrate
Steal or kill in dire strait
So hard to find a good date
    Trespass through the pearly gate

    God loves to retaliate.
    Matters by atomic weight
With hook, line, sinker and bait
False hope by ‘lying’ and wait
    Communication debate
    Harming nature mutilate
    Free-will commingled with fate

    God loves to reciprocate.
    Concept of the weightless state
    Nothingness in figure eight
    Inward – a quiet sedate
    Thoughtful sounds of plucking trait
    Unity and procreate
    Eternal truths loving mate

A poem of four, seven stanzas with seven syllables in monorhyme.

  • 20060907-Shrub Shout

    import, export, in and out
broke my heart without a doubt
drained my hopes like gas with spout
dried my dreams like oil and drought
bought my life through network route
tracked by rats – internet scouts
    import, export – empty shout

This poem is about an article dated 09-06-2006 by one of my favorite ‘teachers’ from this current lifetime. And I too will post more about these stinkers and how they continue to follow me around town. I have posted many times (with time and date stamps) in my now deleted blogs about how certain vehicles, including my local police below and copters above, ‘watch’ my activities.

Two more houses in my neighborhood have ‘improved’ their houses and now I could see them from my second story windows. This means the value of our neighborhood is going up or that the people improving in these smaller houses got smart and know that buying a new one would ultimately put them further into debt.

Then again I have to learn to be less stinky myself and in my outlook in life. Once again, laughter is the best way to ward off the bad things in life. Smiling also relieves any tension among people who are very sensitive to seeing grouchy faces. I may have to put makeup (of basic liquid, powder and lipstick) from now on to mask my pain caused these same stinkers, by the way.  (See? Much better, right?)
