I float on rippled tides above.
I sink to endless depths below.
My hopes sail to a distant shore.
My fears drown to a stormy lore.

I toss a coin of heads and win.
I toss a coin of tails and lose.
I am secured from outside threat.
I drown within from piles of debt.

A success is to spring forward.
A failure is to fall backward.
    Go in blessed evolution.
    Back to godlike retribution.

A third poem to JB of Florida in response to ‘his’ third poem to me…

    Dear:
    For me,
    I could see
    how unending
your love for me could be.
And your true love is unbending.
The stars above and below are shining.
Let us walk together on sandy beach and hear
a sweet tune of love from angels singing.
With the magic of sweet tidings,
    I’ll wipe away your tear.
    Feel my blessing
    without fear
    to be
    near.

    You’re the world to me–
there’s no one quite like you.
    You’re the one I love,
the one I want to touch.
    I give you my heart,
and I need you so much.
    Offer me your sweet caresses;
    fill me with your wonderful light;
    soothe my aching heart;
and hold me through the night.
The mere sound of your voice
    summons deep emotion within
    Like an old familiar song
like the comfort of a friend.
    When you’re near,
I’m lost to thoughts of love
as you touch me with a magic
that’s as grand as stars above.
I want to hold your hand.
    I hunger for your kiss.
    Offer me sweet tidings
    of true love’s tender bliss.
I promise our love shall soar,
carried on the wings of a dove.
    So give me your heart,
and bless me with your love.

  • 20060627-June Blessing

Second poem to JB of Florida in response to his second poem to me…

    Words
    of love
    from within
    have found a heart.
    She patiently waits.
    and sees his hope rising.
Search no more for I AM here.
His thoughts are of her and his love.
She welcomes her fate with open arms.
Oh, Providence! Grant us your wondrous signs.
Opened are the gates that welcome them home.
    Blessed be their union forever.
With Him standing to her right,
    the lonely angel takes flight.
    With heavy heart and tears,
    she closes her eyes.
    A dream has been
    sealed by a
    lasting
    Kiss.

  • 20060627-A Poem to Flynn

since u came into my life,
i’ve looked forward to each sunrise,
    the early morning,
    with u in my arms,
the midnight skies with us beneath a zillion stars moves me.
u make feel like no one else.
i like the person i am when i’m thinking of u.
u bring out a part of me that i never knew existed,
a part that was born with our first kiss,
    u made me complete,
    now i have a reason to try;
    now i have a cause,
in all the wonderful things life has to offer.
u took my hand and drew me into the light,
and u saw in me all the qualities that no one else had ever noticed.
u gave me hope, inspiration, pride, and love.
yes, i love u, for all these seasons and for so much more.
i love u for being yourself
,and u i love u bcos of the person u made me..

    I love and adore u

I heard the music when true love called,
a song sent from heaven on silver wings.

    The whole world was dreaming,
    wisps of light streaming,
as the stars spilled their magic upon you and me.

The tune was more lovely than the nightingale’s song,
more delicate than a rose weeping,
yet as powerful as the sun leaping
to shed golden ribbons in herald of dawn.

And I bow down before you,
the one my eyes have longed to behold,
    my lonely heart pining,
    love Light shining,

I swear that I shall love and adore you.

  • 20060320-Twiddler’s Sums

The twiddling thumbs of hers go round and round.
Fiddling sums of money go round and round.
Where these two stop she does not care or know.
She keeps twiddling due to lack of this dough.

Fiddlers could dance on her rooftop this time.
Bakers could work throughout the kitchen grime.
The twiddle, however, could not be stilled.
She waits for the dough to rise with its thrills.

The warmth of bread rises up to the nose.
Her ravished eating goes money blows.
The fiddler plays his melodious tune
as he eats her soup with a silver spoon.

The night draws near as she sighs with her yawn.
She heads home down a river like a swan.
She rides in her car, which rolls towards home.
Her black beaded purse contains her black comb.

She strokes her raven hair down from a bun.
She jokes to herself that tonight was fun.
She danced and dined and enjoyed some red wine.
She met a man who was gorgeous and fine.

Her thumbs twiddle through times of thick and thin.
In the end, she will always wear her grin.
When love is lost, stolen and forgotten,
money gained and not shared ends up rotten.
