  • 20090814-Precious Prayer

    From my left side and while sitting at the pew for the 0800am morning mass to begin, Rose, a blood-shot eyed, parishioner handed to me a booklet, which contained this following prayer from `The Catholic Communication Campaign – There’s Power In The Message. You Have The Power To Choose` Copyright © 1991:

    Lord, you have enriched me with the strength of your word.
    You have opened my mind and heart to see the wonders you have created.
    You have blessed me with the gift of communication to share your divine message.
    Holy Spirit, help me to understand the power of these gifts, and teach me to use them wisely.
    Bless all who use their talents to communicate the Gospel.
    Guide those who work in the field of communications to use their power for the good of your people.
    This I ask through Jesus Christ, Our Lord.
    Amen.

    As per article New Theme: iNove by Heather:

    Some handy features of this theme:

    • Display pages or categories in the menu below your header.
    • Display your page hierarchy in your menu on hover.
    • Options to show a notice, banner, and special showcase widget to registered users, visitors, or commentators. You control your message.
    • The ability to hide and show authors, categories, and tags on posts.
    • Remove your sidebar with a single click.

    However, it does not have a `Show time/date stamp on posts`. This particular feature would have made my blogging experience better. Plus adding a few more colors would have liven up the perfect monochrome color of gray, white and black. It’s so perfect: I don’t think I’ll tinker with my paid CSS stylesheet upgrade.

    Per `El Rusbeau`, Whose Swastikas, Speaker Pelosi?:

    And if you go and take a look at this, you will find that the Obama health care logo is damn close to a Nazi swastika logo.Recent similarities between Obama’s healthcare logo & Nazi swatzika.     I could image the winged, white-colored symbol above a circular object enclosing a red-colored symbol, which closely resembles a Nazi swastika in place of the Obama health care logo.

    But I don’t always see`doom and gloom` when comparing two swastikas facing opposite directions with a `Urartian Helmet Fragment`:

    What I imagined seeing is a depiction of two Sumerian gods with two `outer` wings – one pointing up and another pointing down – and two `inner` wings, which are symbolized as hands `Using a small bucket with pollen, and spath cones for the `Urartian Tree of Life`.

    So in my opinion, swastikas are really symbols of life. But when healthcare is centralized, I could envision the single payer taking control of people’s lives and making decisions of life over death. And as per callers from countries with socialized health care systems to conservative talk shows, that is not a good thing for the country, nay, the Americans, if Congress passes Obama’s Nationalized Health Care no later by the end of this year.

    I’ve edited the `posts` page again: This time `page title` reads as `Archives`, which is duplicated under `Faq` page. Since `Front page displays` is now set to`Your latest posts`, it makes no sense to have two posts page that appears the same.

    Since boredom has been set upon me, I’ve been editing my weblog pages:

    • Welcome – Added the `default` tagline and removed a heart character.
    • Content – Cleaned up the links and made the paragraphs more logically listed. Added an image of a heart candle from `istock.com`, too.
    • Book – Changed nothing.
    • Posts – Added three more sub-pages due to setting `Front page displays` as `[My] latest posts` via `options-reading.php`.
    • About – Changed as parent page # 5.
    • Contact – Changed as parent page # 6.
    • Faq – Changed as parent page # 7.

  • 20090810-Friggin Warm

    The whole day was sunny, clear blue skies but cooler around 86F than yesterday, which, like this evening, had orangery skies with pink hues of fog or clouds over the East Bay. Here appears clear to `purple` overhead.

    I’ve discovered that the blog stats record the first `parent page` when:

    • A static page (select below) –
    • `Front page` [~ Select ~]  and
    • `Posts page [set to whatever].

    For example, the `Welcome` page is set as:

    • Parent  – Main Page (no parent) and
    • Order – 1.

    I tried creating a new `home` page but decided to publish and rename this one under the `welcome` page as a child page called,`Hell`. I wanted to retain my recent post entries as a both the `Front page` and a `Posts page`.

    Today’s sunny, clear blue skies & friggin hot. This morning smelled like astringent, which I believe is chemtrail spewed last night. And the haziness of the skies is blotting out the sun. Around 1330pm during lunchtime today, I heard low flying plane over our house. To Barry, keep TPTB away from us. Thank you.
