  • 20100627-Weathery Ways

    Today is hot, not sweltering hot but hot enough for the plants to wilt. But with a quick hose down of water, the plants and trees have some water. The winds are starting now. Earlier there was little to no winds.

    The parakeets got their mid-morning bath before the heatwave. And I just brought them in because their wings are held away from their body. They are now cool indoors. Their cages are clean except for the smallest one where Pimon resides temporarily until his anti-biotic treatments kicks in to heal whatever ills him.

  • 20091118-Nice Day

    Today’s is beautiful (unlike fat people who need to take frequent showers so as to avoid stinking up the air we breath). Lots of sunny, clear blue skies. The airs was somewhat warm but not warm enough; for Pimon the parakeet shivered a bit.

    However, Pimon is more alert and alive! He has actually went down to eat with the other birds late yesterday and the whole of today. He liked the Avi-Cakes and the conveniently located millet seed spray, which is wedged in between two mirrors and secure from falling down.

    We ate at McDonald’s for breakfast, picked-up Maw’s doctor’s prescription and Paw’s Mazda Protogé from the Capital Expressway dealership, which is typically expensive as far as repairs are concerned!

  • 20091117-Nice Day

    Today is beautiful (unlike fat people who stuff their faces with artery-clogging, processed food). Lots of sunny, clear blue skies. The air is actually warm enough that the parakeets and their cage got washed outdoors under the VERY bright sun. That was one-half hour ago.

    Earlier, the youngest and most aggressive parakeet, Binky-Yu hogged the bird bath that was installed outside their cage. Winnie-Tot tried to take a bath but Binky kept poking her out. Bugsy bathed and poked Binky out. Simon and Pimon stepped in the water and didn’t wet their feathers much. Bully-Boy got his feet wet but was too distracted with Ye-Yo.

  • 20090922-Friggin Warm

    Today’s was friggin warm. Like yesterday, there was sunny, clear blue skies. But the color appeared slightly white-washed for most of the summer and not the NORMAL deep shade of blue. Early morning birds came to bathe. The parakeets made lots of LOUD noises for the past few days.

  • 20090904-Much Cooler

    Today was wonderfully cool, sunny, clear blue skies. Tonight is wonderfully cool, starry blue skies. The parakeets are calm and seem SO relaxed. The full moon is out tonight.

  • 20090829-Up Up

    Been playing with parakeets. Would hold bottom, flat side of orgone to old Yeyo & her baby Binky. Both bite down hard on my flesh w/ SHARP beaks. Not a nestbox!

  • 20090823-Hummingbird Ahoy

    Saw hummingbird hovering at hibiscus flowers & then hovered near parakeet cage while I waved at it w/ left hand from opened screendoor! Flew away then came back

  • 20090812-Calm Keets

    After giving parakeets bath 2 days ago, they’ve been quiet &calm. During 2 days of heatwave, Simon & Pimon would scream hunger-filled seed bowl: fat, can’t fly.

  • 20090713-Daily Diary

    Sunny, clear blue skies, cool breeze and air warm enough for parakeets to spread their wings. Nothing new except trying out different WordPress.com themes. Bored.

  • 20090706-Parakeets Better

    Been letting restless baby Binky and quivering mother Yeyo sleep w/ rest of parakeets in main cage. Simon’s tummy swollen from liver problem. Others play as usual.

    Like yday, EMO is calm today of sunny, clear blue skies with warm breezes. Parakeets been out having fresh air. Plants look better after fertilizing yday. Content.
