  • 20070622-Posting Queen

A parody based on the lyrics of ‘Dancing Queen’ by ABBA © 1976 and in memory of Fluffy von der Flynn’s last day at work.

You can post, you can thrive, having no climb from your strife
See that pearl, watch that screen, pigging the posting queen

Friday plight and the work is slow
Searching jobs for a case to show,
Where they pay the right hand-pick, fitting to her cling
You thumb in to hook for a fling.

    Anybody could see that fly
Plight is stung and the paycheck’s dry
With a hit of SOX mouse click, everything is mine
You’re their food as a host.
And then you’re like a ghost.

You are the posting queen, hung and beat, only leaven keen
Posting queen, seal the seat like a trampoline
You can post, you can thrive, having no climb from your strife
See that pearl, watch that screen, pigging the posting queen

You’re a pleaser. You tell them none.
Leave them waiting then you’re done.
Seeking out each other, noone will sue.

  • 20070622-Goodbye Losers!

Goodbye cruel world and flush me down!
To the toilet – watery brown
You taught me well – a talk of town
How to fake a laugh without a frown
Will not come back or come around
Laughing to the bank like a clown
Heart felt loving and open crown
Travel the world or wedding gown?

A poem of freedom from work with seven-lined stanzas in eight syllables.

    Me-rong kot-che at ba-hai
    At pe-ra sa ma-bu-hai
    Sa la-hat ai bi-big-gai

    Literal translation:
    20070622-Without Lie
    Have car and house
    And money for life
    For everyone to give.

First attempt at diona – a Filipino poetry of three-lined stanza, with seven syllables in monorhyme.

Author’s note: Used spelling convention of the Japanese language due to not knowing how well to spell words in the Filipino language.

This is all you ‘need to know’

  • 20070621-Follow Me

My watchers continue to follow me.
I drive down the roads and what do I see?
Upon my arrival, right blinker with glee —
A red sedan takes off as if to flee!
Then De La Cruz Blvd. – traffic sea:-
A ‘PG & E’  blue truck takes off – wee!

Another watchful poem of six-lined stanza with ten syllables in monorhyme.

  • 20070621-Tiny One

    Hi! Small baby fly
Buzzing my head like a spy
    Are you an ally?

A very tiny poem in free-verse.

Author’s note: The little booger was looking at me from my computer monitor and buzzing around near the vanity mirror later on that evening.

  • 20070621-Gave Up

    Why let out a sigh?
    Time to say goodbye
    Good news in July
    She may surely die
    for living a lie
    of hard work and by
    the likes of a guy,
    who works as a spy.
    He takes on the fly
and leaves high and dry —
    a love he can’t buy.
    There’s no need to cry
    Or ask angels why
    this lone ball is shy.
    When evening draws nigh
    Gaze up to the sky
And look for an eye —
    the shape of a pie
    And know she says, ‘Hi!’

A resigning sample in laid-off monorhyme.

    The birds and the bees
    Like us humaneze

    To poke fun and tease
    Loving life with ease

  • 20070619-Cockroach Scream

    Cock-ca-roach, cock-ca-roach upside down
In our soup from ‘Kim Tar’ like a clown
    Elder Paw a-scooping.
    Elder Maw a-looking.
Dinner time, screaming crime meaty brown!

Another futile attempt at Limerick poem.

  • 20070619-For Ayes

    Double the third eyes
    To observe as secret spies
    Upon people wise
    Forehead high two spots disguise
Seeking out the truth and lies

A supernatural sample of watching tanka in monorhyme.

  • 20070618-Out Done

    Having too much fun
Thank you for the one on one!
    Knowing what I’ve done
    Everything has just begun.
To take off for good and run!

    Bye!

Another happy sample of freedom tanka in monorhyme.

  • 20070618-Mutually Separate

    Freedom temptation
    All hard work; no vacation
