  • Jetpack Stats Search Terms

20230603-1315. Per yesterday’s Jetpack Stats > Search Terms > “job ch019”, here is the results:

I’m intentionally testing to see who is really viewing my blogs and I can’t determine if the viewers are humanz, bots, spams, or trolls.

  • Shouldn’t have self-hosted site

20230602-1504. Since my knowledge for self-hosting a site is VERY basic, I’ve opted to keep a static website, which has “buttons” linking to my primary weblog site.

Nobody really views my static pages and the shit-posts are more crap-loads of rants which nobody in their right mind would even dare bother reading in the first place.

I’ll have to wait until the plan is deactivated so that I can go back and subscribe to the cheapest plan, which still can handle lots of views and visitors.

That’s why I’m here because of the full-hosted features for stats, security, privacy, maintenance, and other upgrades that go along with more professionals who know how to maintain their sites.

I just like the fact that I could have two similar domain names but each one is hosted on different providers but using the same WordPress platform.

My KJV project for the 66 static books and the 33,103 random verses is complete and I don’t have any other project in mind.

  • My self-hosted site now live again

20230602-1130. Outta fun, I have reinstated my self-hosted site.

The domain name is similar to this one. But it’s temporary as I would have to fund the stuff by 5th of June in a few days.

I don’t know how to downgrade from a Premium plan to their Basic plan without stopping the service.

I had already used up one month of May and then decided to try it again just TODAY and within a few days before the stuff is deleted.

  • Testing Read more block

20230602-0959. I’m testing the more block here below to see if the Reader honors this feature because I still could see the full post without clicking any “Read more” link.

I’ll also fill out the optional excerpt feature, which works. But I’m a control freak and do need to limit what theses bots, spams, and trolls are viewing to the extent that I can’t seem to Earn from Paid Subscribers only.

  • Optional excerpt works but still can’t control access

20230602-0946. I’m testing the password protected feature for post visibility via the Reader. Although I see only the optional excerpt, I still click/select the post from the Reader and see the full post. This means the Paid Subscription features do NOT work!

I have no choice but to place my post visibility to Password protected. If hard-core readers really really really wanna view my shit-posts, then THEY could simply subscribe monthly for a set price.

This is what I see after I first published the post as Public visibility and then Update the post as Password Protected.

There is no excerpt because this is a protected post.

  • Testing visibility of my shit posts

20230602-0936. I-AM testing the post visibility as Public but Reader settings turned off AND Newsletter Access to Paid Subscribers AND More block.

  • Reader settings off but still showing

20230602-0929. Although I have turned off the Reader settings so contents won’t show up on the Reader and although I originally published my previous post entry as Public AND for Paid Subscribers only,

I-AM afraid the Paid Subscribers features do NOT work for posts showing up in the Reader for the web AND smartphone versions! I wanted to control who gets to see my shit-posts.

So I reverted back to Password protected to test and see again if this post will show up on the Reader and what other extra steps I could take to control who has visibility to my content.

I do NOT wanna continue blogging in private mode. That’s almost like talking to me, myself, and eye! And that’s gonna be fun at all.

  • Blogging over at Twatter again

20230602-0925. I’m blogging at Twatter again, though Twitter is no longer supported. Learn more about this.

I reclaimed my username and probably will just blog over there for more heated political stuff in the upcoming months.

  • Turned off reader settings

20230602-0756. Good morning! I feel good! I turned off the reader Settings so that my precious content will NOT show up!

I was tired of seeing the same spooky spook like my posts and nobody else. I’m NOT used to a public following!

Anyways, I tested the Jetpack reader to see if I the settings worked and it did: I no longer see my content being posted!

But that’s NOT good because as nobody can read my shit posts and nobody wants to pay for subscription!

    End of blogging. 20230602-0801.

  • Password protected faster

20230602-0128. I had to use the password protected Puff2023 to “test” and see if this post can be viewed.

I left the Reader Settings turned on so those bots, spams and trolls, can see that I’m still blogging.

There is NO switch for the Newsletter Access on this Jetpack app for smartphones; and so I can’t toggle or turn on for Paid Subscribers only.

And why should I expose and air out my personal musings for strangers who are on the dark side of the planet, namely India.

I really have nothing to do with that “territory”. When I used the password protection, I received a confirmation in my left ear hole.

I heard a single tone and that proves that y’all have nothing better to do with your time but read my shit posts.

That was probably one hour ago. I’m amazed that y’all want to read my stuff.

  • Still showing post views in reader

20230602-0101. After I togged or turned off the switch for the Reader Settings, the Reader Content is still showing post views in reader!

I’ve tested my old posts and set those to Paid Subscribers only and I still could view the entire posts from the Reader on both the desktop/web version AND the smartphone version!

So the only way to force “real subscribers” to pay-up is the set EACH and EVERY post to Password Protected and/or set the Newsletter Access to Paid Subscribers. I think this whole monetization is NOT working for me.

    End of blogging. 20230602-0104.

  • Monetizing my shit posts

20230602-0053. It does NOT make sense to try and monetize my shit posts if I cannot control how the posts are accessed!

I’ve set the Newsletter Access to Paid Subscribers. But I have NO Paid Subscribers. And Yet the Reader on the Jetpack app still allows full visibility of my Paid Subscribers only posts.

This does NOT make sense! So I’m testing out the Reader setting and turning off the switch so the Reader Content won’t show up.

But I’ll leave the Password Protected feature turned on.

    End of blogging. 20230602-0056.
