There’s no need to lie
or make our friends cry.
You see –
we’d rather deny
a simple good bye.
If we
are left high and dry,
we’d scream a reply:
We’re free!
There’s no need to fear
when true love is near.
You know
they seem to appear
and bring us good cheer.
They show
us how to revere
when life seems severe
or low.
