Off-topic rant:
Last year, I called and nothing happened. We continued to receive those weekly support envelopes and annual diocese appeals.
This year I followed up with an email via the main website and sent Dad’s sign, certified letter.
I had requested that our name and address be removed from their list of contacts.
We didn’t want anymore incoming mail from our local parish. We felt betrayed.
But we still place some cash in their baskets when attending mass. Huh.
We received two emails, the signed certified card, and a signed later to that effect. I scanned and archived those for my files.
Although my parents may still be practicing Catholics and though my core values remain unchanged, my views have always been eclectic, period.
