Ever since I joined the main SVP choir, I wasted money on buying computer devices (especially my iPad PRO 12.5 inch (2nd generations) AND purchasing both downloadable and paper sheet musics that I could never accompany “live” or sing ever again; since I am no longer participating in the group. This all happened from 2013 and all the way to the COVID lockdowns.
On Christmas day, I got a Christmas greeting via text message from one the choir members. Amy V inquired if my I would ever go back to singing with the choir. I told her the my dad misses the choir but the “feeling” wasn’t the same after the COVID lockdowns. I didn’t indicate if I would be the one to come back.
Off-topic: After the COVID lockdowns, I was happy to leave the group. This reduced my anxiety to be in public and stress of singing the perfect notes. Plus, I was having a difficult time hearing and following along with the choir leader. I just didn’t feel comfortable rehearsing at NIGHT and while the doors were kept UNLOCKED! In addition, the coo-coo NextDoor neighbor, who kept stalking me to my local church, seems to be “quieter” – now that I’m staying home. She probably has stress and anxiety that I’m going out with someone, somewhere. Sheesh.
