20230522-0003. I do NOT think I’ve ever broken a bone.
However, I recall maybe one time when I was leaning over the cash register to my VERY first job over at Paramount’s Great America Theme Park in Santa Clara, CA.
The shorter brunette-hair boss who attended Berkley University said to me: “don’t lean over the cash register.” But I misunderstood her as saying “don’t lean ON the cash register.”
That’s the problem with mishearing, misunderstanding, misconstruing, or just simply NOT paying close enough attention to whatever was communicated by these monsters.
So one time at one of two small retail stores located at the Revolution ride section, I was trying to open some rolls of coin for that same cash register.
I was banging the roll of coins upon the cash till to get it open and then I think I banged too hard and didn’t realize that my right index finger got whacked across the edge.
The pain was initially INTENSE but tolerable enough that I was still able to use my finger with some weakness. But the pain continued on for quite some years until the pain was no more. I could see the slight twist of the intermediate phalange to my right hand, which is my stronger or more dominant hand.
(Off-topic: I could use my south-paw or left hand if needed, like typing out this blog, brushing my teeth, and grabbing ordinary objects. This is in case I can’t use my right hand for normal functioning.)
In addition, my left wrist is still feeling painful and numb sometimes to this very day after falling VERY hard on the compact snow during my snowboarding fun up at Sierra at Tahoe in November 1998 for Thanksgiving holiday. I believe the impact fractured my elbow more so that the referred pain went to my left wrist.
But years later, a doctor/physician said that it’s just arthritis. I wanted an X-ray of some sort. And so I just gave up trying to ask for help or some sort of relief without resorting to pain-killers. I tried to go natural path.
Anyways, I can’t really do push-ups for normal exercising and my left hand grip is slightly weakened/compromised.
So I’ve probably got a few more broken bones beside the two that I already mentioned. But none of them required me to go to the hospital. I just try to avoid visiting hospitals as I have a distrust against the system and some stranger touching me. That’s all.
End of blogging.
