  • Changed blog colors again: Red, white, and black!

20221004-2128. I’ve changed the blog colors again. Instead of the many colors, I’ve opted for three simple colors: red, white and black!

As I mentioned in my OLD blogs, my elderly father told me that he can’t read the words when the background color is lighter than the text color.

With that in my small mind, I had to “change my ways” and change the colors for those who have accessibility challenges.

Plus, it might be better for archiving later on.

    That’s all. FlynnsPaws.

  • 20010831-Trying Theme

Sorry, folks. I keep changing themes. This time it’s:

    Notepad by Nick La.

It looks clean enough, although you know I’ll change themes on you again!

Four hours ago, I changed to one theme (see above). Now it’s 10:00pm and I’m trying:

    INove by mg12.

It’s supposed to be lighter and easier on the eyes for readers who cannot stand light-colored fonts against dark backgrounds. Fine.

  • 20091206-Tweaking Again

That day I switched to the Kubrick theme by Michael Heilemann here at WordPress.com.

    My advanced `Header Colors` are:

    • Font Color (CSS): #FFFFFF
    • Upper Color (HEX): #CC99CC
    • Lower Color (HEX): #330033
  • 20091110-Old Colors

Changed from warm colors of green & yellow to original, cool colors of purple & blue. Easier on eyes. Feel more relaxing. Except header may need different color

  • 20091105-Weak Colors

Behold my latest weblog – `Dusk` theme by Beccary! Don’t let the `web-safe` color of `weak yellow` remind you of creamed corn, too. If you feel queasy and cannot stomach the thought of pea soup, don’t throw up just yet! Read `Flynn’s Blogs` and you could exorcise your demons of boredom!

If the colors of `weak mauve` and `weak green` for the `title` and `header` elements, respectively, don’t give you some sense of relief, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m always striving for perfection!

  • 20091105-Tweaking Again

I’ve been sampling different `web-safe` color schemes for the following elements:

    • a:active
    • a:link
    • a:hover
    • a:visit

I tried blues, pinks, oranges and greens. But I found the yellow tones for these fonts blend well with the overall warm, sunny feel of my weblog. The color tones are muted and the only two colors that appear to `break-up` the monotone of yellow are the muted colors of green (for the `header` element) and the purple (for the `title` element).

As a result and because I noticed how difficult it was to read the pale fonts, I’ve changed the font color from gray to black for both elements: `content` and `sidebar`.

  • 20091105-Tweaking Again

Since I’m never satisfied with the appearance of my weblog, I’ve removed two sample backgrounds: the animated, twinkling stars and the gradient, pale blues. And in its place the weblog now sports `web safe` colors, which are supported by most web browsers.

The background colors for the `body` and `title` elements are muted green and purple, respectively, and for the hover effect of push-buttons are muted yellow and green, too. The text for the body (contents and sidebars) are still the colors purple and blue.

Now my weblog looks much brighter and more welcoming and not bold in black of deep space. The warm colors and the height to each `sidebar` widget to my weblog have been modeled after my favorite, Catholic-based website online and [my] daily companion.

  • 20091007-Tweaked Page

Well, as usual due to sheer boredom, lack of employment and of NO satisfaction, I’ve tweaked my `Home` page, which is titled `Highlights`. The decision was made after sampling the main page of Wikipedia – the free encyclopedia.

    The tables are separated by a `horizontal bar` (or `<hr />`).

Each table is colored coded, too!

    Here are the details:

    • Yellow – Short Angel poem.
    • Blue – Topics of interest with descriptions in proactive verbs.
    • Red – Two sets of photos from the Shareapic.net website.
    • Purple – Three sets of photos from FlynnsPaws.
    • Green – More links of interest: 15 recent posts, Flickr.com slideshows, Orgone pages and four categories.
    • Orange – One YouTube.com video on `Chemtrails of Death`.
  • 20090926-Current Colors

While editing my most recent blog entry entitled 20090925-Something Serene a few minutes ago, I didn’t realize before how significant the colors of soft blue and white is to Flynn’s Blogs. I wanted the colors to match my custom header of soft blue and white.

In the past and to my MANY dis-satisfaction, I couldn’t find the right color combination for my weblog site from black and brown, dark blue and brown to purple, pink and other rainbow of colors.

My thoughts raced and I prayed in thanks (again). Then I quickly searched for `Moslem Mosque` via Google.com and came up with a Flickr.com photo of a Baitul Islam Mosque, Ontario – Canada. The colors of this photo shows the building of soft blue and white. It has fluffy, puffy clouds of white in the background against clear blue skies, just like my customer header of cloud formations.

This is yet another eerily synchronous event. And yes, I won’t change the appearance of my weblog site any time soon. It’s perfect for now! Perhaps this is truly a symbolic time in which unity could be achieved, I hope.

Later, I added that Flickr.com photo as one of my favorites. And reading the entire first page linked by the photo to `An Overview of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community` by  Al Islam – The Official Website of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community: Love for All, Hatred for None. Neat.

  • 20090920-Tweaked Blog

    I’ve tweaked my weblog:

    • A`Front` (or `Home`) page of four poems and renamed as `Blogger’s note`.
    • A customer header showing an etheric cloud formation (or a sylph, really)!
    • Cooler colors of blue and gray to match the customer header.
    • Reduced number of widgets to six.
      • Text widget: a tagline, an illustration by Dante and two links to my feed.
      • Search form for text queries.
      • Pages widget listing parent pages as the main menu.
      • Flickr widget of orgone and orgonite.
      • Text widget of `recommended readings`.
      • Gravatar widget of useful links.
  • 20090920-Favorite Site

So I’ve been visiting my favorite religious site: Living with Christ. And lo and behold, I see the footer change in color! No longer is the background the same color of yellow as the content but it has taken on the look of a darker shade of purple, just like my body background!

I’ve been changing my sidebar and tweaked the two `text widget`, where the text is inside of the `table` and part of but not within the `caption` portion.

  • 20090918-Old Theme

I’m back with the free theme here at WordPress.com: `Dusk` because, once again, of its time/date stamp feature, followed by the categories and tags element. I  found a `color scheme generator` for my light, purple and gray color based on the default background color #556677 as per the `body element` found on my paid CSS stylesheet upgrade.

The `before` and `after` content feature was added as a text for the #footer element and the #title element, both of which only appears for the FireFox browser and shows up blank for the Internet Explorer browser. I removed that feature from my CSS stylesheet.

    I’ve tried other themes:

    • `Unsleepable` for sub-pages on the main menu of the right sidebar.
    • `Blix`  for pages AND posts viewed without sidebars.
    • `Kubrick`, `Pool`, `Sapphire`, `Sunburn`, `Black Letterhead`, `Connections`, `Andreas09`, `Solipsus`, `Almost Spring`, `Fleur De Lys`, `ChaosTheory`, `Sandbox`, `Rounded`, `Contempt`, `Misty`, `Quentin`, `White As Milk`, `Redoable Lite`, `Garland`, `DayDream`, `P2`, `Silver Is The New Black`, `DePo Masthead`, `The Journalist v1.9`, `Hemingway` for time/date stamps primarily.
