20250205-2147. Welp, I switched from theme Timestream back to theme Blank Canvas and within just 30 minutes of applying my templates from last night, I like the latest theme Lexionic. I simply copied/pasted my main projects into the right column and filled-out as much as I could without touching the original Groups. I’m testing out how the left column stays sticky! But I can’t see the letters all that well. The concept of two HUGE columns is appropriate for my stuff. But because I’m never ever really satisfied with one theme, I’ll keep switching until something “sticks”.

20250204-1345. Greetings, chumps! In today’s secular news, the weather is rainy and the temperature is freezing!

Anyways, I just finished tweaking my weblog! This time I edited the Excerpts field for my main Elementor pages: About, Contact, Features and Home.

Then I cloned/mirrored the 1. optional Excerpts, 2. Jetpack SEO Titles and Descriptions and 3. the Navigation menu for these main Elementor pages.

Furthermore, I took screenshots of the Jetpack Social Preview (Preview what this will look like on social networks and Google search).

It looks great and makes sense now!

I learned about SEO from the recent WordPress.com News feed first thing in the morning.

For some strange reason, a mysterious FRONT-COVER page was generated on/about 1310 PST! That was short of the symbolic double-digit time stamp of 1311 PST!

So I guess this super intelligent computer, mind-meld programming, matrix-like grid has learned or at least anticipated that I should and wanted to include/clone/mirror the optional Excerpts and Jetpack SEO Titles and Descriptions!

I was using the Add Template > Front Page template for my main landing/static page and constantly saving to my Patterns, which I should NOT have to detach!

I could simply Edit Original Template via the save Pattern! I knew this was the case but I was too anxious to loose my hard work!

But now I know better to just Edit Original Template or Pattern instead of Detaching from my post or page!

I also deleted Featured Images created on my Canva dot com Premium account because the Jetpack Boost Image analyzer (Beta) kept triggering improvements/suggestions.

I was at my wits end! So I just kept deleting images that were “wrong”.

I am cleaning up my Media Library files of mostly images because I learned from the WordPress.com News feed about SEO how to keep filenames descriptive and short PRIOR to uploading images.

So I deleted uploaded media images where I could NOT edit the permalink and re-uploaded my Site Icon, Logo as per the SEO short and descriptive filename of “site-icon-logo.png”, for example.

I have to break now for lunch because my elderly father is waiting while I finish up this blog post entry, which I’m typing via the Classic and NOT the block version, which has all the Excerpt fields and Jetpack SEO detail, if necessary.

20250204-0213. Welp, I did it again! I doing yet another all-nighter. This time I consolidated THREE projects under the RANDOM POST page and the FOURTH project under the RANDOM VERSE page: both pages are found as red-colored button on my FRONT (landing/static) PAGE.

The random plugin works for both pages. In my BIG brain/HUGE head yesterday, I had another incoming thought of inspiration! My goals was to make use the newly Details block/widget AND reduce the number of static pages. The OLDER post ID pages are set under Private (Published) mode; while the NEWER post ID pages are set as Draft mode.

Unfortunately, the RANDOM POST page is such are large file that loading time would take awhile. The RANDOM VERSE page loads up fast enough. But who cares? I don’t because it’s my stuff and nobody cares to read OLD stuff anyways!

The four main Elementor pages (About, Contact, Features and Home) and the two random pages made the cut. The remaining pages are the 66 KJV audio bible books. Unfortunately, the navigation links within each audio bible book page needs to be fixed.

I’ve devised a plan to simply use the spreadsheet to copy the correct links and paste one-by-one over the incorrect links. Because I removed removed the “parent” page, which altered the navigation links/menus. The jump-page hashtag symbol doesn’t work by itself as an internal/stand-alone link and needs to be attached at the end of the web page link.

I created those nav-links at the top of each audio bible book to jump-up and jump-down each “chapter”. So there are lots of chapters. My goal really was to work with each verse. But that’s crazy.

Anyways, after I got carried away with creating different colorful templates for my static pages, I learned that the pages do NOT need to be filled out! I could create one template for multiple pages. The templates acts as the “Content” block/widget.

So now that I’ve reduced the number of landing/static pages, I’m down to 72 pages. I was stressing out updating the main landing pages that it wasn’t necessary any more after I consolidated OLD blogs into one page.

I’m feeling sleepy and it’s time to sleep again. End of status report 0236 PST.

20250203-0020. Welp, I’ve done it again! A couple of days ago, I noticed that the VERY last Table of Contents block/widget was displaying four extra unwanted links! So I had to remove the Table of Contents block/widget from my main Project FlynnsBlogs page!

Lo and behold! The internal hashtags links from the left sidebar (containing the customized Navigation menu block/widget) worked perfectly to “Open in new tab” > Advanced > HTML ANCHOR of my main page for Project FlynnsBlogs!

I left the hashtag marks for my left side menu bar to make it obvious for readers that these are supposed to be internal jump-pages links and NOT external links.

I am happy but still sleepy after a brief dozing-off – post late supper a few minutes ago. But after one hour of brainstorming for the fastest shortcut to make my project completed to my ultimate satisfaction, I had two bumps.

The first bump or hurdle was making use of yesterday’s newly discovered block/widget called: Details. After halfway of clicking/retrieving tediously the Details block/widget, I received another incoming thought of inspiration to “Transform” my Groups into Details!

That worked out great and quicker, too! I learned to save my Pattern before tinkering with the Contents. And so the I deleted my first hard work (bump or hurdle) and retrieved and then Detached my saved Pattern back into my main working project page, and then Transformed each Group into Details.

Then the second bump or hurdle was trying to link the Heading from my main working project page to the Navigation menu! I discovered that the internal links/jump-page hashtags only worked for Heading set as “H1”, which is the largest for headings!

So I saved the main working project page, refreshed the Navigation menu page and proceeded to “search” for the post or page by simply typing the hashtag (#) followed by the unique Advanced > HTML ANCHOR.

Per instructions, I usually keep one to two words and without spaces. Instead of spaces, I use one dash or hyphen per space to separate my words because that’s how my brain works. I am just NOT used to seeing ONE long word strung together!

So I matched the H1 Heading and the Advanced > HTML ANCHOR and that worked out perfectly! Because I noticed that the Slugs for our blogs posts’ Post Titles are set-apart with “dashes” or “hyphens”.

So this was the alternate price for NOT have a working Table of Content block/widget!

• Transform groups into Details.
• Set main Heading to H1.
• Keep HTML ANCHOR short to one or two words without spaces.
• Set hashtags (#) for internal “jump-page” links.

Voila!

Finally, this was my ultimate dream come true for a simple project using Microsoft ClipArts and WordPress NextPage shortcode, which I removed because now I could collapse/hide and display my stuff in a nice compact view but off-center and to the left.

20250202-1931. Where do I keep coming up with all this stuff? Inspiration? So I’ve finished redoing my Pages. I’ll share in reverse starting with the About page in which I combined contents from Home page, which I converted to a Blog page, which is also a clone/mirror of other practice pages called Blogs, Posts, Post, Latest Post, Recent Blogs and Read Blog.

For the About page, I finally discovered the Details block/widget, which is the accordion or drop-down navigation menu! I guess y’all were being mean and nasty unto moi and that I’ll probably figure it out all by myself, much like probably burying myself when if pass, seriously.

I’ve used the Details block/widget for ALL the sections in the About page and that works out for me! Finally, I am able to collapse/hide each section because I tend to “overwrite” or long-write or share more than necessary.

So I’m happy with the About page (for now). For the Home page, I queried LEO AI for answers about the differences between About, Front, Home, Landing and Static pages. I then studied how or why my alternate ranting platform over at Twatter/Hex has a “Home” page for members/users who are logged-in.

I thought to myself, hey, since both the Home and About pages seem similar, I might as well turn the Home page as a “dynamic” page where recent posts will appear, like Twatter/Hex.

The “Front page” is my landing/static page and I do NOT plan to change that Cornerstone page because I’m plumb tuckered out.

The Features page is useless and contains the All Archives blocks/widgets.

The Contacts page is useless since I deactivated Jetpack Subscription by email/Newsletter feature or reverted back to “default”. So nobody should be getting/receiving emails.

The rest of my Pages are static OLD school informational.

20250202-0124. Welp, I’m up all night again! This time I had enough strength to re-create my front home landing page, which I modeled after the sign-in page of my favorite/other site for ranting: Twatter/Hex!

I did this from “memory” and thank goodness, I took ONE screenshot to help jog my memory. I was able to finish that in about an hour and about an hour ago. This was made possible after learning how to create and swap templates!

I started out tinkering with the Read Blog page and cloned/mirrored other pages called Blog, Recent Blogs, Post and Latest Posts! I re-used some empty/duplicate pages, which I could have easily deleted permanently.

So after practicing and refining the details for these five practice pages, I finally named that template as Dark Black, which is a black background and white fonts. I have learned to use the available Patterns, especially the ones under Blog Posts.

Before this Dark Black template project, I was already tinkering with the Patterns for the About page project and used a couple of Gallery patterns therein.

So after practicing with the About page project and then the five Query Loop pages project, I managed to finish my Front Page project! This is a static page with red three buttons on the right and an AI generated image to the left. I can’t seem to make the fat buttons thinner.

The bottom has more links and my credit and both are set to EXTRA-SMALL. From here, I learned how to double-check the Navigation blocks/widgets and discovered that I completely forget to copy the Description field into the Title Attributes field of my menu items!

Now I could hover my mouse over the links and read the text before clicking each menu item, which I set to “Open to new tab”!

This Advanced feature “Open to new tab” is VERY useful, especially while viewing my own weblog site from the Jetpack app for iPhone. I found out that I could close out the “new tab” and still see the main or original or previous “landing page”!

I have a habit of closing-out my web pages and by automatically selecting the “X” on the upper left hand corner of the Jetpack app for iPhone. Now I don’t have to be “inconvenienced” whenever I try to close the main links located on the front page. The rest, unfortunately, are set to NOT “Open to new tab” by default of the current theme.

I’m back after wiping up the spillage from my water distiller: It’s 0153 PST. So now back to my Front page project, which I saved as a Pattern in case I wanna revert to the original template.

This landing/static page is also Dark and Black! And I like it! So I guess I’ll keep it and the current Timestream theme, which has HUGE fonts by default.

The rest of the pages still needs reworking. While trying to fix my pages, I kept refreshing the Jetpack Boost > Image Size Analyzer (Beta)! And resizing and compressing the images kept me busy for too long!

I was under the impression that my original images designed on Canva dot com were the culprit. And I kept uploading Compressed and Transparent and 2KB sizes, which still were creating multiple triggers to fix it.

Then I used my big brain and queried LEO AI for answers and found out that all I had to do was open up my local Preview app and fix the images! I used 50 percent for the front page AI generated image and 30 percent for the Featured Images of my five practice pages.

The blurriness is NOT so obvious; and I didn’t care if the original wasn’t displayed. Now I have multiple dumps on my Media files and I still have more storage because of my Business upgrade plan.

So now I guess that’s it for now until next time. I’m getting sleepy. I like this theme because the text is huge while blogging from my desktop web browser. I’ve been listening to the audio bible and sometimes I got annoyed / irritated that even the ancient people had their dramas.

My eyelids are barely opened because of blurriness as I try to focus by squinting at all times. The three pairs of eyeglasses are NO good but I have no choice and stick to one good pair.

20250131-1654. About 20 minutes ago, I might have discovered the culprit as to why there is the appearances of “Login Form” and “Registration Form”: it’s a plugin, which I have deactivated.

So now I know at least how that particular plugin works, thanks to John Jr! Hopefully, readers could see my stuff.

The other option was Do not restrict pages, which was important to me. There are more options for those with more contents, views and visitors.

But now now, little OLD me will have to be happy with whatever I have for now, thankfully.

202501331-1149. And to my prolific commenter, whom I almost forgot, I might have the following answers to your last few comments.

But because I was too caught-up with designing my weblog and did yet another all-nighter, I did NOT have the time to find out WTF is going on/wrong!

To probably answer your “comments”, there is a feature for users of Business plan upgrades that “Allows readers to subscribe to your posts or comments, and receive notifications of new content by email. Learn more – Privacy Information“.

So when I clicked the “View and Add Subscribers” link, there is a banner on the top of the page that says: “Add subscribers to your site and send them a free or paid newsletter.”

This page is located under the Dashboard > Settings > Discussion Settings where we could: “Control how people interact with your site through comments. Learn more.”

The current time is 20250131-1202 PST.

I just reviewed the Subscribers to my site and deleted/removed ALL visitors to new posts and comments via email!

By default Jetpack Newsletter is deactivated!

But I wanted to “test” this feature out and saw that most subscribers/visitors have “gulag” email accounts!

At least one subscriber/visitor is in marketing and I have a deep aversion to advertising and marketing, because I’m “that” gullible.

I just “deactivated” this paid upgrade feature and it’s back to “default”.

Nobody should be receiving emails of NEWSLETTERS, which I think is really meant for businesses.

(I recall MM long ago mentioned how my content edits are showing up in her emails. So that’s why I should NOT have allowed sending out emails!)

I hope this a possible reason as to why John Jr saw a “form” for registered members.

It’s strange because I saw a “form” while tweaking my Read Blog page. This “form” appeared after I tried to “load more posts”. Only the first full-content (and NOT excerpt) post was fine until the succeeding posts had these “forms”!

I still do NOT know how this could happen.

But because I have my alternate WordPress account with everything still set to “default”, I could always clone/mirror the Discussion Settings back to “default”!

The only three items in the Discussion Settings that are different between Business plans and Free plans are:

• Enable pop-up business cards over commenters’ Gravatars
• Enable comment likes
• E-mail me whenever
  • Anyone posts a comment
  • A comment is held for moderation
  • Someone likes one of my posts
  • Someone follows my blog

All else, like I said, are already set to “default”. I’ll have to investigate what else going on, if any.

20250131-0237. Greetings and good morning! It’s way past my bedtime again as I try to cross the finish line of tweaking my weblog site (again). This time theme Timeline seems to “stick”. Yay! I love the HUGE fonts for us near-sighted/myopic persons and for others with vision impairment!

So tweaking with Gutenberg blocks was much faster this time after almost one week of practicing web designing with my paid upgrade (Elementor Essentials Pro). Only there are NO fancy features, such as animations and other finer details of handling, well just about everything else to build a website!

I enjoyed learning how to hunt down for the correct combinations to achieve whatever I could have envisioned for my weblog site. I know now that I am still NOT fruity enough to pull-off a successful looking site worth reading, viewing or visiting. I just like moving things around to an endless pursuit of non-existent perfection!

So I managed to rebuild the original Elementor template pages – About, Contact, Features and Home as I much as I could remember, because I really did NOT care about taking screenshots or saving pages of my hard work!

I guess this must be my “philosophy” of non-permanence. You know, if we are to follow Jesus Christ, we must get rid of stuff and NOT look back! And if it means to go broke or file for bankruptcy for the third or fourth and probably final time in this life, then so be it!

But this is my way of saying thanks for nothing; for I’ve learned nothing, except keep going towards the rainbow bridge to nowhere or somewhere, shall we say, to heaven where bliss is for real?!

Anyways, I customized the theme’s templates (All Archives, Blog Home, Index, Page 404, Pages, Search Results and Posts). I then customized six more “Page” templates mirroring each other with three columns and gradient background colors, too!

The left column has an Emoji icon from my computer’s “Emoji & Shortcut”. The middle column has the (Post) Content block/widget. The right column has the Featured Image block/widget.

The seventh customized “Page” template is supposed to model the Twatter/Hex site with three columns and the basic dark and black color scheme. But the theme’s layout forced me to move both sidebars to the rightmost columns; because the “Content” should appear first or towards the top, especially for both the Tablet and Mobile views.

These are the small “logistics” when designing a web page: to consider the users’ perspective. I guess it won’t make sense to have “stats” if each post is in “full view”! So by having the recent posts displayed as either links or excerpts, the readers are “forced” to “read more”.

The Entire Site is supposed to sport my favorite gray bamboo background image (Repeat and Fixed at 50% left and 50% top.) This should add some “texture” to an overall blindingly bright light white of the theme’s default background.

I liked the theme’s Search Bar, which is defaulted/located on the right side of the header above. That’s what I always wanted. Something small enough so I could squeeze multiple Navigation menus in the header in one horizontal Row.

Unfortunately, I learned that more menus is NOT necessary because there is more real estate in the footer to add more links, such as “Copyright notice, Site credits, Contact information and Links to social media profiles” per LEO AI.

Per LEO AI, headers contain the following essentials, such as “Site title and logo, Navigation menu, Search bar and Login or registration links.” I kept “forcing” the Header to take all three “Site Profile” elements, such as Site Logo, Site Title and Site Tagline. But the Header got angry and would compress other elements in a jumbled mess, especially in the Table and Mobile views!

So now I have to rework the Footer and Header per results from LEO AI! But I’m getting sick and tired, err, sleepy AF now! I still have enough strength NOW to fall over. Speaking of which a couple of days ago, I felt a dizzying wave hit me!

I felt like I was swooning but I was TOO strong (and seated in front of my computer at that time and while standing up at the kitchen sink also) to faint or pass out! Per usual, I’ve been getting hit with sharp arrows daily/nightly and would receive a couple of PHYSICAL nudges as friendly reminders to tend to my midnight laundry, for example.

20250130-1311. Welp, I did it again! I’m trying theme Timestream by team Automattic after I have reverted back to WordPress Gutenberg blocks, knowing that I still could switch back to my paid upgrade with team Elementor Essentials Pro! But I had to deactivate the plugins which conflicted with the “database” here.

What I like about theme Timestream are the HUGE fonts and once again the different “Styles” offered by each theme, only this has six color schemes/Styles: Default, Antiquedom, Guggenheim (which I am using currently and love so far), Noirish (which John Jr probably won’t like and others who have vision impairments and use screen readers), Rising Green and Schweiz Rot. I’ll try all Styles for fun.

I switch my themes to try out the neat features and how the web design is laid out and then I copy or Create a Pattern to use for later on. This is how I learn/back-engineer what I should know by now. But since I’m NOT a professional web designer or since I simply do NOT have that artistic flair, I borrow/steal ideas for making my weblog site pretty.

I already got tired of designing my Elementor pages and loved the mock-up Twatter landing page with my basic dark and black with red accent color schemes. I know I could mimic/parrot other established design.

But I-AM far from creating “designs” on my own. That’s just my programming. I guess we each have re/incarnated with certain traits and spiritual handicaps which allows others to excel in certain areas such as writing/communicating, educating, designing, performing, etc.

It’s time for me to prepare our late lunch again. I could see my elderly father exercising/walking around the backyard through one of our 24/7 cameras. This is just for him. Everything else is just for home insurance purposes.

Addendum: I forgot to mention that I liked the Search bar and its “switch” from the magnify glass when collapsed/close to reveal the expanded placeholder (which I entered the text as “Type to search our site” as a courtesy for accessibility) located to the far right of the Header above.

Also while blogging via desktop view, the Post Title is HUGE. The “paragraph” or Content area has HUGE fonts for blogging, too. That makes reading great because the text is no longer blurry for me! Thanks! End addendum report 1327 PST.

20250129-1949. Behold! My new front home landing page looks awesome! This latest practice web design is a mock-up of my other favorite place to rant against/towards TPTB and palz!

That’s correct! The color schemes are dark and black and accented with bloody red! I hope y’all will like it.

My more fruity/gay/practice pages, which are still labeled Home, Features, About and Contact, except the Global Styles and Terms of Use and which (once again) were taken from the Essentials Pro paid upgrade templates, can be found at the bottom left corner of my footer.

My credit is found on the right side of the footer.

The current header is basic dark and black! That’s how it works: THEY made the top look ‘extended’ this way! I re-used one of my duplicated/empty/unused header. The same goes for the duplicated/empty/unused footer.

The left panel contains my Jetpack AI Generated Logo.

The right panel contains my Site Title, a header describing my website, three buttons to click, one text editor as a mock-up disclaimer and the search bar by Jetpack. (I do this as part of advertising and marketing helpful links to make my website possible. That’s all.)

It’s time to prepare our late supper because my elderly father came downstairs and shared a recent news about an airliner accident and snow AND his usual hungry birb sound: the triple tweet/eat, tweet/eat and tweet/eat!

202501229-0005. Finally, I got my background header with two airplanes spewing forth chemtrails positioned where I wanted it: top and centered (well, at least for the tablet and mobile views)!

The horizontal showcase view for the Hero container way on the top is okay, except the “site icon” image would block one of my chemtrail airplane (especially right-side)! So I had to switch back the Layout > Preset to the vertical storytelling view.

And since the vertical storytelling view leaves the left and right sides too empty, I added back my favorite gray bamboo image against white background. And I must say that I like it!

I have been keeping track of the duplicated/unused templates on my spreadsheet and it looks like that I have the following list:

• All 5 colorful Single Posts;
• All 6 colorful Single Pages;
• All 10 colorful Headers;
• 1 Footer for the Entire Site;
• 1 regular Archive;
• 1 regular Search Results;
• 1 regular Error 404;
• 5 Unused Loop Items – because I do NOT know WTF this does/is;
• 12 Unused Headers – because I really did NOT know WTF I was doing; and
• 8 Unused Footer – because I was NOT warmed-up/patient enough to understand how to design/navigate the dashboard and new features/tools!!!

Within five straight days of designing and NOT hard-coding since purchasing an Essentials Pro upgrade, I manage to tinker with 50 site parts a bit faster. The first two days were just warm-ups. I can’t wait until I get bored again, err, I meant busy. You know what I mean!

I had to place/set my most of my duplicated/precious/published pages to “Private” mode; because I already have the duplicate files from the other designing tool. It’s amazing how I could edit using two site building tools. I didn’t know that’s how it’s done!

But this is just for my eyeballs only; because that’s the way I like it! If I were to really do something in this artistic area (such as earning income), I won’t like it; because it has to be my way or no way at all!

I do NOT share: I learned that phrase from a fat whitish temp worker while the group was eating lunch outdoors in downtown SJ.)

That’s all. I just don’t have the time to care about reading nonsense on other platforms/sites. This is how I keep busy and I like it, except my neck, shoulders and back are hurting from long hours of sitting down in front of the computer!

At least, I’m listening the the KJBV audio books. This helps me to focus on the word of GOD instead of letting my thoughts wander off. I’m able to work quietly and NOT rant, too!
