    Welcome to WordPress.com!

I just noticed the following/new tab of two with the first one as “my settings”:

    Welcome to WordPress.com!

This is the WordPress.com homepage, where you can write a new post, find blogs that interest you, and read the blogs you follow.

To add blogs to your Reader, click the Follow button on any WordPress.com blog. You can always find the Follow button in the grey toolbar at the top of the page.

    •     This menu returns you to the WordPress.com homepage from any blog
    •     Hold your mouse over any of these links for a helpful reminder of what each does
    •     Visit Support & Forums for all the answers

Notes: The first/top light blue arrow (“li.tip-wmenu”) points to uppermost left hand corner (“span#newdash-icon”) of the dashboard; the second/middle light blue arrow (“span.tip-arrow”) points to the six tabs (“a.sync”) — (New Post, Reader, Freshly Pressed, Topics, My Blogs, My Stats); the third/bottom light blue arrow (“help-tips tip-support”) points to the stuff located in the footer/bottom areas.

  • Ready to get started?

    Download WordPress 3.3.2

Not really. I tried WordPress.org long ago and still cannot get my website the way I want it. Maybe I haven’t figured out my ideal domain name; can’t find a super-cheap hosting service and the ease of coding pages to my liking. So I don’t know where to start if I can’t be happy here at WordPress.com,

WordPress is web software you can use to create a beautiful website or blog. We like to say that WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time.

The core software is built by hundreds of community volunteers, and when you’re ready for more there are thousands of plugins and themes available to transform your site into almost anything you can imagine. Over 60 million people have chosen WordPress to power the place on the web they call “home” — we’d love you to join the family.
