Flynn's Paws: My Thoughts, My Gripes

  • 20090331-Visible Pages

    Since y’all are too busy to navigate within my fine, long-winded pages o’plenty and click on the many fine links to read MORE pages, I’ve tweaked my paid CSS Stylesheet for the ‘ChaosTheory’ theme.

    For the ‘globalnav’ section; the height is set to 60px with its ‘listed menu’ set to a padding of 5px (for top and bottom) and 15px for the sides). I really wanted to squoosh this ‘navigation bar’ towards the top and into one long strip, similar to Yahoo! News.

    But for those using screen resolutions of 800 by 600 pixels, the visual to the navigation bar was all messed up. Then again, I didn’t test the ‘height’. I should try again but I’m too lazy to find out now, maybe later on.

    Most of my [static] ‘pages’ are included within this (top) navigation bar, except the five sub-pages to the Web-Book (front stuff, front matter, body matter, back matter and back stuff) and a few set pages to ‘private’ mode.

    I expect to see some ‘hits’ based on my stats. Speaking of stats, the ‘Stats’ page has been generated with a simple push of a button called ‘Summary Tables’, which is located towards the bottom of the ‘Blog Stats’ page of my ‘Dashboard’.  It is now a visible selection of the (top) navigation bar, called ‘STATS!’

    Oh! Y’all could take my POLL. It’s a multiple selection of five, ranging from very satisfied to very dissatisfied. The results of the poll are visible to the public. So far none cares to amuse me. In other words, there are no results yet! Blah!

    Had a dream of blasting outward any ‘entities’ that may have been possessing me last night and/or channeling moi. Felt system drain off in relief. Dreamt more but forgot.

  • 20090331-Contacting Recruiters

    So I’ve been emailing the useless recruiters and returned a call from Grace (tacworld.com). The first time she called me I have no idea how the hell she got my contact information. It must have been through some data base online. But the ‘customer service’ was too far away for me to travel. Since then she was no help.

    Accountemps helped but that job request didn’t go through well. OfficeTeam never replies. Nelson from Accountants, Inc. left a weird voice-mail message the other day and didn’t response to two of my emails and a phone call that same day. Jonathan from Lighthouse Management never replies to my emails. Sylvia from Josephine’s Personnel Services and Carlos from Kforce both claim that there’s nothing.

    Ho. Hum. So it’s up to Barry and pals to take care of its citizens, who are hurting, really, really bad!

    Like yesterday, today’s sunny w/ clear blue skies. Moderate sylphs. Blew leaves, brown puffs from backyard & garage. Maw cut off layers, leaving bowl cut, cute.

  • 20090330-Hopeful Note

    Once in awhile I like to read what is going on with our fellow politicians and its government. So I’ve subscribed to WhiteHouse.gov Blog Feed and found this interesting photo of President Barack Obama during this morning’s Presidential announcement of the viability of GM and Chrsyler:

    Notice the blatant halo effect surrounding his head of a would-be ‘Messiah’. If y’all will look closer at the photo, one could see two red-colored, devil’s horns (which are formed ‘intentionally’ by the wings of the eagle of the Presidential Seal located in the background) popping out like bunny ears.

    I see this ‘art’ as a dual interpretation: The decision behind the Government Motors (60days) debacle as being the better good over Chrysler (30-days) is a catch-22. We are screwed either way: The ‘Messiah’ is supposed to rescue the auto industry. But in effect Obama has destroyed capitalism as we know it by socializing their bailout courtesy of the American taxpayers and with the firing the GM CEO Rick Wagoner as a starting point.

    So it’s up to the Americans to figure out if impeachment of this newly ‘elected’ president of the United States is warranted. Frankly, I’m not looking forward to giving up the freedom of my descendants. I know what’s it is like bailing out politicians. Seriously, they don’t REPAY when they are supposed to in a timely manner! If that happens I’m bugging out of this land, once proud and free, to a place where freedom to move about is not limited to this $#!+hole of ungrateful fools.
