Image source: IMG_5655 taken on 8/3/2008 2:41:11 PM via Canon PowerShot A610 camera.
My photo taken of a Christmas figure by 'Americana Christmas' DEMDACO ©Kathy Killip 2001 (Made in China).

    Around and around it goes
    Abound and abound it shows
    Round without sound it knows
    Round, spider clown it flows

Why do you crawl and comb
    On angel sculpture home
of ‘Peace on Earth’ half dome
‘Good Will to Men’ you roam?

    My windy blowing might
    Upon your speedy flight
    Begone and out of sight!
    To an unknown tonight

Another annoying poem about a small arachnida crawling on top of my angel figurine.

Addendum: Added photo of my angel watching me as I work on Aug. 08, 2008 at 06:55PM.

  • 20070703-Smelly Pickings

    Disco era music ticking
    Dancing, walking happy flicking
    Aerobic exercise tricking
    Karate punching and kicking
    Joints and parakeets sound clicking
    Stinky fluffy oily sticking
    Midnight shower salty licking

A healthy poetic alternative to pick away at high cholesterol.

  • 20070703-Black Fly

Black fly lands on computer desk.
    Sluggish and hardly moving.
Yet able to fly around my head once or twice.
Now wedged under anti-radiation screen of monitor.
    Crawling slowing. Dictionary writing.
Looking at the word ‘Tag’ from the status bar below.
    Resting now.
    Goodnight.

Opps! Still looking at my screen.
Who are you? What are you doing?
Staring at word document entitled: 20070703-Black Fly from the status bar below.

A poem in free-verse about the booger moving underneath the screen.

Author’s note: Discovery of  death 11:11:25PM per atomic clock. Rest in peace ‘J@ck B!ll*’ of Florida. I’ll miss you.

  • 20070703-More Spooks

    Red Van:
A dirty red van almost hit us.
Lost behind a big rig? I guess!
    Pulled out upon our progress
Stopped to our right before a mess
All three of us were under stress,

    Followed us one-quarter mile, yes
Slow down to see license plate press
Shall I follow him to impress?
    Hawaiian islands sticker plus
    American flag sticker dress
His exit left, us right digress

    Big Rig:
A big rig truck pulls out like bus
    Near Chevron gas station profess
Slows us down in tight fisted cuss

    Utility Truck:
Another right – a red cone puss
Behind left rear taillight by wus
    PG&E blue truck transgress

    Parked Vehicle:
    Another rumbling engine plus
    Around dinner times exit thus
    Sounds like a Mustang nonetheless

Four more ‘neighborly’ occurrences today around 01:45PM to 01:55PM.

Author’s note: Our Mercedes-Benz E430 has that standard GPS system installed. That should tell them where we are located each time we use that particular vehicle.

  • 20070703-Daily Diary

    20070703-Daily Thoughts

The morning went well as I awoke early to blog once again. The skies have been amazingly clear blue, crispy with gentle, cool breezes. The month is already July of 2007 and there is not a feeling of the summer heat yet.

I came downstairs at around 10:20AM to find my parents cooking lunch and washing the dishes. I was hoping to go to my doctor’s appointment today around 10:45AM but they decided to accompany me.

They got dressed in five minutes and we were on the road towards the railway intersection, four more roads and onto northbound Highway 101. The traffic was light but started slowing down around my exit near Moffett Field, CA. I had another ten minutes to make the appointment.

With slow cars in front and a couple of narrow roads due to constructions, I sped up and parked towards the right where the building was located. My parents waited inside the Benz E430 with all four windows rolled down for their comfort.

I was in the office, paid my $15.00 and then found myself waiting and talking to the doctor about how to prevent my high cholesterol from plugging up my veins and potentially causing an early heart related disease.

My conversation with her was positive and emphasized how I exercised thirty minutes a day after dinner with ‘Kali-Maw’. I described how much more pain free I felt and how much more grounded I felt to the earth with more balanced outlook in life and strengthened lower extremities. She shook my hands knowing her patient wanted to seek non-holistic treatment for her physical well being.

I am grateful that my blood work did not show diabetes or thyroid problems consider my family history of heart disease and other ailments. I had no hypertension or high blood pressure. The thyroid reading was within normal range although I feel lumpy to the right side of my throat. I did notice a high count of white blood cells and probably due to my third week of this ‘flu-like’ symptom.

I got my 20mg Lipotor brand medication and hopefully the pain associated with ‘statin’ type drugs won’t cause pain in my muscles. This painful muscle has occurred in the past and is a rare symptom. I am one in how many million that reported these pains.

I will try ingesting this ‘medical intervention’ in the hopes of lowering my high cholesterol tonight. I am hopeful and wonder how much improvement I could obtain from

    01:45PM to 01:55PM.

Red van CA Licencse Plate # xxxx409.

Cuts in front of us as we turned into MY Rd.
Any suspicious vehicles are parked near the railroad intersection.

Followed until it exited eastbound Beryesa Rd.
We went westbound until encountered big rig waiting at corner of L^ndy Ave. and Beryesa Rd.

Exited right to L^ndy Rd. and encountered blue PG&E truck put out red cone to left of its rear end.

  • 20070703-Tags Torture

My joy has been blogging for the past week. My newest career has allowed me more time in front of the computer upstairs at home. The occasional interruption of daily activities downstairs is part of my normal routine as well.

Each morning I would log online to find out that blog statistics. And the recent activities seem to be spams, which I posted to show recipients of these sorts of emails are a waste of one’s time.

Time is all I have now and today I’ve discovered how ‘tags’ work. These ‘tags’ allow people on WordPress.com to see what categories are of interest and what people are talking about in their blogs.

I have modified most of the categories into one main word that seem to fit all the descriptions of every possible area of my interest and keep ‘blog’ specifically for my stories and ‘poetry’ (formerly ‘poems’) for my non-verse versions.

For example, ‘faith’ for me is about the supernatural or deities and anything about spirituality and theology. I renamed all tags and came up with ‘romance’ specifically between two people in love and ‘business’ for my ticks.

I have yet to test how to separating multiple categories affect how I want my readers to narrow down their searches. This website has truly opened my world and fostered more of my creativity with features such as this ‘tagging’.
